Yeah ok. The aircon worked eventually but it needs repairs to the controls.
And the pillow was probably the worst I’ve had in my life.
Otherwise it was quite ok.

Lack of parking and staff support for issues were severely lacking even at this price point.

I had to book this property after 10.00pm and was able to contact the staff (who was working remotely) and she guided me through the entire process until I get the room key from the safe. Thank you!

We had the Loft! It was so awesome, we loved every minute. So cute and so much room. Staff were lovely and very helpful. We definitely recommend staying there. We will definitely stay again for sure.

Cheap, clean, friendly staff, close to King St, short walk to Southbank. We felt safe having drinks on the front deck at 9-11pm… this area is not accessible to public but you get to sit amongst lovely trees/plants & watch the world go by. Some parking available in the side alley if you get there early enough - good & bright sensor lighting and security cameras - we felt very safe. Quiet - no other guests were rowdy or noisy, & only white noise from A/C, we didn’t hear traffic or outside sounds. Great location & price for budget conscious travellers.

Rooms were ancient and dirty. Pillows useless they were that flat. Shower doors were both broken and they were overall just dirty. Won’t be staying here again.

Excellent location and value for money - convenient walk and train to Suncorp Stadium. Period timber boarding house accommodation over multiple levels. Our basic, yet spacious and comfortable room was below ground level which reverberated guest noises from above through the night. It’s location and price point popular with Valley revellers, it seems. City booked out at time of booking, so limited in choice. Would stay again, though probably mid week and not on a Friday or Saturday night. If you want to experience the Fortitude Valley night scene and don’t mind a 10 minute walk to get there, this is the place to stay!

there was small bugs constantly in the room crawling on the floor.
we were put right by the kitchen and dining common area, it was loud until about 2-3am with people talking, banging noises, doors slamming and loud footsteps. got hardly any sleep.

Our room was very noisy. This accomodation should be categorised as backpacker hostel, not a hotel. It is located in a good area and close to the city but the noise from thin walls and upstairs rooms was very bad . In addition the pipes were noisy therefore we could not sleep till around midnight until other guests sleep and not use the bathroom. Hope they do something about the noise as the location is good.

If you are looking for quiet don’t stay here, if noise doesn’t bitter you then all good!

Nice people working at a hotel.
The only negative is that I was charged twice for a room. Once by Expedia and once by hotel and never received refund. So, be careful about being charged for a room twice.
The rest was okay.

Look. It's a cheap hotel, you get what you pay for, for a cheap hotel. Biggest gripe was there was no water pressure and no hot water at night. Even during the day, you need to have the water running for nearly 5 mins before you get any hot water. Bed was very creaky, had to get the spare blankets and pillows from the cupboard because there was only 1 pillow each and it was very old and flat. Aircon temperature nob didn't work so it was either no aircon of freezing. I feel like the very least of things cheap accommodation can provide was not really there. Fine for a 1 or 2 night stay but not for much longer then that.

The building had an atmosphere about it. Yes it was old but had character about it.
The staff were great and helpful.
I have worked in a number of motel/ hotels and know that its not always the brand new fancy places that glitter and shine that are the draw card. Its the character and quality of the place and people that make it.

Great price, great location. Yes it's old, but it has so much character. If your looking for a 5 star stay at this price point your the problem. My only critique would be the linen and towels need replacing. They need a freshen up. Then this would be 5 stars all round from me.
