Bathroom rather small and disappointing there was no proper shower. Room quite hot and noisy from Irish pub in street outside
5.0
very good hotel excellent location good breakfast no noise
3.0
Boring tourist hotel but otherwise clean and in a good location in the old town. Parking impossible so check whether a space is guaranteed BEFORE booking. We had to park a mile away and get the bus in.
3.0
Great place to stay to visit the old town of St Malo. The main inconvenient is that there is a glass recycling container located nearby and people in the neighborhood come to dump their bottles day and night, making noise.

The hotel was fine for a quick stay in Saint Malo.
We had superior room, we didnt have breakfast as we left early.
The room was clean and the bathroom fine.

Great location inside walled city at very reasonable price

We were upgraded to a larger room as I am currently in a wheelchair. It was large airy and very comfortable with modern furnishings. The hotel was ideally placed for exploring. We managed to park right outside (although parking is very very expensive). We really enjoyed our time here

T.raditional hotel within St Malo city walls. Enormous comfy bed, windows onto the street. Great breakfast buffet. Loads of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance

Very nice hotel inside the walls

We had a large room with king size bed and a view of the wall and Atlantic Ocean !

A great place. Our stay was too short!

We loved this hotel intramuros. Easy walking throughout the old city.
Driving through the narrow streets could be a little bit of a challenge, as well as finding a place to park, but this is no fault of the hotel. The breakfast buffet was fabulous.
We LOVED our stay.

Right on the front and they have a large garage that was useful as we were in a classic car.
6.0
The interior of the hotel smells very bad.

Excellent location; could use some freshening up. Carpet in room was quite stained and sticky. Thermostat at 26C and could not be turned down.

What a lovely hotel right in the city walls with an underground car park. We only had a basic room for 1 night but it was very good- a lovely super king bed and a good shower. The young lady on reception, I wish we’d asked her name, was so lovely and helpful with everything. We would definitely go again. The breakfast was delicious and plenty of choice.

Great location. Duplex is well maintained and has a nice kitchenette. No AC, second floor was really hot. Overall, nice experience. Would recommend it but maybe not in the hottest day of summer.

Room was nice & clean. The only thing was by the time we went down for breakfast after 9 wasn't much food left.
3.0
Pros - reasonable price, surprisingly large room, nice central intramuros location
Cons - very loud outside noise at night (irish pub literally below window), drain smell from toilet, no proper shower (handheld only), parking a challenge
Was bearable for 1 night but would look for different hotel next time

The hotel was tired, carpets worn out. Carpets very badly stained in corridors. Room depressing, dirty marks on walls, bed linen old and worn and very thin.
Fluff from hoover left in a pile in the room. Windows were dirty, view non existant.Iwould certainly not recommend this hotel to anybody.

It was located in the beautiful city of San Marlo with easy walking to everything. The view out my window was lovely!

Very friendly staff and comfortable hotel in great location

Surprisingly modern rooms in this historic city centre site. Difficult to drive to but worth the effort if you get a sea view

We picked a pricier hotel to make sure it had air conditioning, because it was a hot day. When we arrived, the a/c did not work. We had a room at street level, so opening the window was out of the question. I went down to reception and they used covid as an excuse. In other bookings we had perfectly working a/c. So, if you offer a/c, turn on the machine!!

Amazing location, great staff and service but the room was very tired. The place could use a freshen up.

Good location. Our room is duplex family type, which is comfortable and clean. But noisy at night when the bar nearby still busy in midnight and limited car park space is a pain.

We used Hotel de la Cite three times last year and intend to use again next. Excellent for location.

Good enough for an overnight stay, not all taxis know how to reach the front door.

Conveniently located within the walled fortification. The hotel is situated at walking distance from restaurants, bars, and shops. From the Hotel, you can quickly get to the fortress’s turrets, watchtowers, lookouts, and ramparts. The view is breathtakingly beautiful. During low tide, you can access the castle’s ocean outputs through a sandy beach. Our room was midsize, clean, adequately decorated, comfortable bed, and a wardrobe. The bathroom is equipped with modern furniture and an adequate shower compartment with a high water pressure head and handheld shower. Parking available at a short distance from the Hotel on paying public spaces (look for the electronic kiosk nearby) A word of caution, getting to the Hotel by car can be problematic and difficult to navigate within the fortress. Park your car outside the fortification and walk to the Hotel; they will provide you with a detailed map on how to get to Hotel by car. Breakfast is served in the early morning hours. The staff is friendly, polite and bilingual. Highly recommended!

The hotel is situated in a quiet corner close to all facilities and restaurants within the surrounding remparts. The staff are friendly and helpful. Only drawback is noise from an adjacent Irish pub if you want to go to bed early.

Perfect location within the old town walls. Parking available just outside. Service was excellent. Would definitely recommend.
