Amazing four star service and staff. Absolutely germ free cleanliness. Constantly cleaning. You could eat off the floor. My third year here. I shall return.

The front desk clerk, William, was very nice and helpful. He is a true valuable asset for the hotel 👍

Property is located in a busy nightlife area. Many resturant options near by but can get loud at night

Room Service was difficult. No microwave in the room for simple things like heating water for tea which they made difficult to get. Need more bilingual employess for guests. Beds are very hard. Impossible to get in touch with this facility on the phone or internet. I will say they had a cuple of friendly staff at front desk.

the elevators are so archaic, the rider has to manually open the primary door, which is heavy steel and spring loaded. no wheelchairs, and especially difficult if on a cane. the stairs to the pool are so steep, that they are difficult to climb for any person with mobility issues. the staff do not speak english, and did not seem to care

I had to postpone my trip due to carnival being cancelled until April. there was no new availability so I tried working with the hotel to get a full or even a partial refund and they did nothing to work with me.I will not recommend anyone to spend their money here nor will I ever stay here.

They didn’t have my reservations and had to wait over 30 minutes to get a room that I didn’t like with a not cold air a/c in a 100 degree weather!

I have been staying there in the past and like it..

Compared to most hotels in the Lapa area, Fluminense is centrally yet safely located. It is a quiet and safe haven in an area known for its agitated lifestyle given its proximity to many exciting samba clubs. And the swimming pool area in the rooftop, while small, provides a respite after a long walk in a hot day. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Hotel com boa localização e os recepcionistas foram super solícitos.

Pretty sad room, not very clean. Bed quite uncomfortable. In a dodgy area of town. We picked it to be close to the Sambodromo (carnaval).
Free breakfast is good.

The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was yummy and plentiful. Service was very good. As for the neighbourhood, some people might find it a bit sketchy; I personally felt completely fine given the fact that Rio isn't the safest place to begin with. Great value for the price!

Its a dimly-lit place and the hotel either doesnt have many guests, or it just monitors your coming and going a bit much. Even the chambermaid seems to know which room youre in if you run into her down the hall. The bed is hard, and sometimes hot water was an issue. But the room was dark, painted a dark yellow color, with pea-green curtains, which didnt help...but my one window looked out into a parking garage! So no light to be had from the window either. The waiter who oversaw the breakfast buffet chased me out once it hit 10am and breakfast was supposed to end. He was telling me the cafe closes at 10 and was now closed. But its really the breakfast which ends at 10...you dont chase people out right after. You can clear the food slowly and let the guest know the buffet will be ending if theyd like to get something else. Thats hotel hospitality.
