Nice hotel. Very convenient to the Tahoe Blue event center. Though we realized they are under construction, there is very little signage about it. Very limited food options especially for breakfast or casual dinning considering the amount of rooms they have. In our room all was great except the bathtub was old and rusted. We come from Carson city and hope to enjoy future events at the new center so we hope the Golden Nugget will improve with time.

Not so good, wont stay again

Our first night stay there was something wrong the ac unit, but the manager Anna made sure we had a different room. She made us feel so comfortable and was very nice. Exceptional customer service. We will be back for sure.
3.4
Rooms were still branded for Hard Rock Casino with not so tasteful art. Room did not have refrigerator and was very warm, AC did not work. Parking was not easy, no valet available either.
3.4
Room was way too warm....Heat was on. Told only solution was to open the window and have a fan delivered

One of the towels in our room had nasty brown stuff all over it and it was hanging on the rack in the bathroom to be used. We didn’t use it and the window in our room looked like there was three splatters of blood or something else nasty on it I didn’t take any pics and I tried to clean the window but it was stuck

Great location and good hotel/casino for a good price

Unfortunately, we had to check out early. Our TV didn't work, the heater didn't work, and the shower was only cold water. We requested the shower be looked at, but unfortunately it was not fixed.

Overall wasnt a bad place, my biggest complaint is that the air in our room didnt work at all. The steakhouse was fantastic

This was first time to Tahoe, and they even made sure I had a lake front view from my room! It was truly amazing and much appreciated!!
3.4
I stay here every time I come to Lake Tahoe to visit my son which is several times a year. The hotel is wonderful.

Stayed on 15th floor. The Room was very worn out and found bugs in the room. Tried to use the heater and it did not work. I reported the heater issue with the front desk and they said to just not use it and they’ll give me more blankets if needed.
3.4
Don’t understand why they charge $20 per night for parking when most of the other hotels do not! Service at the tables and slots were slow for drinks; Hate the smell of smokers and their cigarettes !!!
3.4
Have hockey tickets. Very convenient. Rock star floor was cool.

It was surprising basic. Hotel room and hotel decor is dated. Painting over rust doesn’t work, shower would fluctuate between hot and cold so I️ washed my hair in the sink. Bed was nice but that’s about it.

Well first my booking said it was 169$ but when I got there they tried to charge my card 300$ which was a surprise. I only got one night when I was booked for two. There was no refrigerator and when I asked for one they said I had to pay 25$. I was there for work so I had brought my pin food which spoiled. I decided not to rent the second night and checked out. I was there on the 15th it’s nnow the 21st and still have not got my deposit back and the charge is still pending. This has to be the most unprofessional unpleasant stay ever.

Some one pulled the fire alarm two nights in a row at 5:50 am. The hotel AC and heater in the room didn’t work. Management’s solution was a posted note Under the thermostat to contact the hotel for a fan for AC. To keep warm contact the hotel for extra blankets and or a space heater.
3.4
SUPER Convenient for Disabled people and Dog accommodating!
3.4
No heat for our 3 night stay because their HVAC system was between seasons. We asked for a space heater but they were all loaned out. They brought blankets instead.
No hot water for 2 nights and maintenance never came. On 3rd night, they finally fixed it.
After complaining daily, they removed resort fees & parking fees from our bill which helped with the inconvenience.
3.4
Really enjoyes our stay, king bed room with lake view, super affordable, beautiful view, and a balcony. Love to stand outside on the balcony get some fresh air in the night.

We had a two night stay at this hotel for two people, and I tried to be understanding as it seemed to be under construction but our experience was less than favorable. The air conditioning did not work throughout our stay. Although it was cold out, our room never strayed from the high 70’s. When we spoke to the front desk, they sent someone up with fans and we were told he wasn’t sure when he would be able to fix it, if at all, and to leave the sliding glass door open (it did not have a screen door). We had to have three fans going and never closed the sliding glass door throughout our stay to keep the room tolerable. The balcony light did not work so it was pitch black after dark. On the first night of our stay, the emergency alarm went off around 5 am with an announcement to head to the lobby using the stairs, not the elevator; just for the front desk to apologize and say they did not know why it occurred and they were working on shutting it off; we were on the 14th floor. We were never offered any sort of correction or accommodation for the troubles.

This hotel is under renovation so expected some noise and inconvenience. Will be nicer the next time around.

Fun times

It was a good stay. I just wished their elevators from parking to hotel was working.
3.4
The room was not equipped with enough towels or toiletries for 3 guests. Multiple lights did not work properly. No shower curtain in the bathroom. No working light on the balcony. Elevators in parking area did not work.
3.4
Started out arriving to chaotic valet area with lots of construction going on. No idea if I could leave my car there while I checked in. Then found out parking is $20 a day extra for hotel guests. Then elevators to parking garage floor is out of order so had to schlep my stuff down stairs by myself. The hot water in the tub was running and could not be shut off. No maid service since I was only staying 2 nights. No info in room about room service which I wanted to order by would have been outrageously expensive no doubt. Also very loud patrons yelling in the halls at all hours.
3.4
The hotel staff was amazing and the room was really big and nice. Loved that they have several dinning options and gift shop options and has a casino. It is walking distance to everything. So much to do.
It was under construction which was not advertised, parking elevator was closed and so was the pool due to the hotel currently been remodeled.
3.4
We had a great stay loved our room 12th floor with balcony had beautiful view of Tahoe, extra 40 was worth the view, hotel room was clean, comfortable bed, gaming was great!!!
3.4
Not a fantastic experience, unfortunately. No reason to charge for parking after additional resort fees for nothing. Pool was closed and fitness center was forgettable. Parking garage elevators are out of order and several closed off area on casino floor - guess new shops are coming at some point. The room was slightly tired from the HardRock glory days, hat water was barely warm, at best, no AC - instructions dictate to open a window. Bed was comfortable though and the seafood restaurant was great. Overall, I should have stayed at Bally’s.
3.4
We stayed in room 1111, The bathroom had a board on the bottom nailed to the wall, and there was things on the wall that look like they used to be a picture hanging, but the hooks were left. It was a nice room. The beds were really comfortable. The pillows were comfortable, but this is the second time I've stayed here in a year and the pool still isn't working.
3.4
Everything about our two night stay was great! From quick check in to easy parking, Clean, stylish room and bathroom. Bed and pillows were comfortable. We ventured to the other casinos, but kept coming back to Golden Nugget because we liked the games and the atmosphere . I cant wait to go back and see what the new owners have done with the place!

The room was great and the hotel was clean. There was not a fridge in the room so that is a negative thing.
3.4
Do not agree at all with the 3 1/2 star rating, more like a 2! Hotel definitely needs updating throughout. Our room was very rundown. Broken toilet paper dispenser, broken wooden seat at end of tub. No house keeping. Had to find them to get additional towels and toilet paper. Windows were not only dirty but lots of bird poop. Reception staff was dressed and acted in an unprofessional manner. Would not recommend or stay there again without knowing major changes have occurred throughout.
3.4
The property is in need of a serious update. The carpet was gross and lifting through the room. The bathroom was disgusting. They caulked over mildew instead of fixing it properly. The bed was uncomfortable…it seemed to be very old and used and had a large dip. I was pretty disappointed! The restaurant there was equally as bad! I’ve never had worse service in my life. The bartenders also seem very annoyed and bothered to be helping you!
3.4
We had a problem with the reservation.
Once we did get the reservation resolved, the room was $50 more than when I booked it. I get up to my room and the air conditioner. Had wires hanging out. The sink was completely plugged and nasty. One of the worst places I’ve ever stayed.
3.4
We love love the Oyster Bar and Jose the server is Amazing!!!!!! We live locally and eat there frequently!!!! We did not have a great experience when staying in the hotel as Hard Rock, bad room many thing broke, old.. so we were hesitant to stay, but we gave it a shot. Room was clean, but definitely has not been updated yet. There was no microwave and no refrigerator which was disappointing.!!!!! Our view was amazing!!!
3.4
Nice rooms, but the a/c made a terrible racket. Heater didn’t work.

The hotel room cleaning staff needs fired. We has a huge mold and hair blob in the bathroom. Any human mopping the bathroom can ser it. Why wasn't it addressed? The one saving grace is the mattresses whuch are superb. Let's hope the current renovations turn it around.
