Would possibly have been ok if there hadn't been a terrible sewerage type smell, which was very sickening. Website also said the room we booked had a bathroom, but when arrived the bathroom was down the corridor and shared, that just needed to be clearer. WeWas

The place itself is a little shabby but the rooms are freshly painted and renovated and the staff are really great.

Basic budget accommodation with communal facilities. Good value for the price and fine for the trip I was on.

Melissa the lady at chck in was very efficient and was onw of very few who took the time to cann and ask abut eta, the place was old but had a very large kitchen. The shared bathroom left a lot to be desired. Very close to a licensed gaming venue.

Enjoyed our stay. Lovely and quiet. Staff very helpful.

Communal travellers Lodge with small private dorm like rooms with common shared bathrooms. Staff were friendly, but a bit absent and checked out… You got the sense that they wanted to be left alone. Excellent common kitchen area with some free products like coffee and tea. Inviting pool in the courtyard. Everything about the common areas was actually above average, but the rooms are in dire need of refurbishment with stained carpets and what seemed to be cigarette burns, and yellowed window coverings. The bed was clean, though! Overall, it’s exactly what you expect from being in the middle of the outback and a place that has served travellers for decades. It would probably do them some good to do some deep cleaning and renovations and reopen as an excellent property, but for now it is what it is

Great place to stay, loved the pool, very relaxing and quiet, and the kitchen was good, easy to cook in.

I liked the quiet, the ensuite and security. It was all I wanted for a one night stopover.

There was no one at the lodge, had to wait over half hour for someone to ring me back with a pin so I could enter. The room I got was nothing like in the photos.

Iamge showed an ensuite bathroom but there was none and the loos had wee all over the toilet floors. Showers were soaked and horrible.
3.0
The room was clean but absolutely nothing else. Was expecting a wash basin and maybe some coat hangers. The toilets and showers were also quite a walk from my room.
4.0
Close to city centre. Very limited off street parking with no security lighting.

great location basic clean affordable and kitchen facilities

Bare bones, run down and very basic. Comfortable beds, with bar heater set upon arrival (nice touch). The pool would be a blessing in summer, but in winter, this place is very little more than a place to rest for a night.
1.5
The air con / heater is noisy, the property needs some maintenance and cleaning.

Outstanding
Good communication, comfortable and quiet. I felt safe.

It was great value for money. But there was no hand wash or soap and all the floor boards creeked.

Communal bathroom. Room very basic but clean. Bed comfortable.

close to all & everything, can walk to all no need for car.

Very tired property and run down and bed would benefit from being replaced, but essentially has everything you need for a quick overnight stop. It’s on the Main Street with eateries and pubs within walking distance. Street parking only. Shared bathroom facility was clean. kitchen was old but had the necessities. Poor value for what we paid but there was nothing left to book by the time we booked.

The location is superb. The room is basic yet you have all you need. The common area is very spacious. The management team is nice and helpful. I had a red-eye bus ride departing at 3:45am and they let me store the luggage and stay in the common area to wait for the bus after I checked out.

Staff is super friendly. The place has a nice kitchen and communal area (with a TV). Tourist visitor information is just around the corner and all major sights and museums are in walking distance (5 to 10 minutes). Place is very clean. My room was comfortable and in good condition. There is also a pool which I didn't use.

booking in was easy and straightforward, the room was neat and clean, the staff were polite and friendly,i would gladly stay there again.

Very affordable price for solo traveller, it is so hard to find low cost accommodation at country side. I was happy to have clean room, hot shower and able to cook my own dinner. It's not very loud at night, and since it's closed to information centre. Anyone can just walk there to get the information needed for the trip.
The owner looks like about to sell it, hope whoever buying it would provide same quality of service.

No drama, just good value!

On my way from Perth to Sydney by bicycle, this was a well-earned break from camping. The accommodation was comfortable with a good atmosphere. The kitchen facilities were good and a short work into town. Id recommend this place if staying in Broken Hill.
