Gorgeous property well appointed in the downtown area. Convenient to walk everywhere. Great service. Our room San Jose had the best view. We were offered upgrade to another room but we could not let go if the view so got a bottle of wine instead for Expedia VIP. Only negative was the church bell so close but I tend it out.

My new favorite luxury hotel in Puerto Vallarta. Service was above and beyond. There was attention to every detail. I can’t wait for my next visit.

The most charming and well appointed boutique hotel I’ve ever stayed in! The staff, especially Luis who brought us breakfast every morning, were amazing. Every little detail is tended to here. Every view, every plant, every statue and fountain and piece of art. My favorite ever.

Incredible property! Like a magical garden. If you're looking for a quiet, romantic stay, then this is your oasis. A boutique hotel with only 10 rooms, we sometimes felt like the only two guests on the property. There are hidden terraces and quiet reading corners, exquisite artwork and water features, and the rooms are unique and comfortable. But the service trumps it all; the staff go above and beyond to make you feel at home, they never miss a beat. A special thank you to Luiz and Norma for their kindness and hospitality!
The property has an amazing gourmet restaurant, and the Italian place across the road is breathtaking. The area is a steep walk to the Malecón, but the 3 blocks through decorated gardens are an absolute delight, and they're lined with unique shops and quaint little restaurants. Safe and well lit after dark.
5 stars all around. Bring your partner here, you will not regret it!

There was no shampoo or conditioner refill and no shower cap or cotton balls. Little stuff that usually is provided

Wonderful oasis tucked into the Romantic Zone/Old Town area. Food is amazing for breakfast and dinner. Service is amazing also. A couple of issues with the door to my room and the toilet flushing that were addressed when brought to their attention. Charming and historical feel with lots of art pieces and beautiful grounds.

We didn't want to stay in the resort area because it was so far away from the more authemtican downtown/malecon area. What an awesome place this was! So gorgeous, unique and close to everything. Staff was incredibly nice and accommodating. I would highly recommend the celestial suite! It was a bit more money but being able to come out on the private patio with water fountain overlooking the town was amazing! I felt Safe as well.

While I left my thoughts directly with the staff, and while I think this property is incredible, unique, and appealing in many ways, in light of all the accolades in other reviews this far, I thought it might be worthwhile to point out a few things for other potential guests to be aware of. If you are an aged person or have any sort of physical disability at all, be mindful that to leave this property it is near the top of a very steep hill. I would select a room on the ground level, too. Rooms adjacent to a pool area will be loud simply with guests conversations. If you're more of a morning person and like to get to bed earlier, the live music in the dining room didn't end early. It is a very old building filled with religious artifacts and art if that matters to you. I can't speak for all rooms, but our room had a very old mattress that was excruciatingly uncomfortable- for this reason alone I would not return for a stay as we both tossed and turned all night and got a horrible sleep. It was once a pillow top, but the pillow long ago deflated. If I were judging the hotel's value based on the atmosphere, beauty, upkeep and service alone, I would say it's fair. But the horrible mattress and terrible night's sleep (a hotel's ultimate job) was so bad that I couldn't bare to stay there another night. Given the prices of a stay, a quality mattress shouldn't be an issue.

This please is a ripoff for the price they charged and what they offered. The rooms are basic, broken fixtures, old grave condition linens and little privacy. Location is difficult to get to by car since it is locating on a narrow street up on the hill behind the church. Staff were not enthusiastic, breakfast was just coffee and fruits. I would not recommend paying US$970+ to stay here per night.

We loved our stay at Hacienda San Angel! The room was incredible with beautiful views of PV. The staff was wonderful! We dined at their restaurant and the service, entertainment, and dinner was great. The food was delicious! We also did a tequila tasting and Alex. He was very knowledgeable about tequila. We also enjoyed the small bites prepared at the the restaurants that complimented the different tequilas we tasted. We can’t wait to return!

What a truly amazing, historical Hacienda in the heart of the Romantic Zone of Puerto Vallarta! We could not have been more pleased with the quality of the room, the maintenance of the grounds, the food service and the warmth of the employees.

The entire staff was so kind and welcoming. We stayed here for 3 nights and we wish we stayed longer. The beauty of the estate was absolutely breathtaking and you will feel like it is your home. Our room had a view of the Cathedral which was absolutely gorgeous. The pools, the grounds, the restaurant are impeccable. Make sure you have dinner at their restaurant as the food and service are top notch. The Malecon is a very short 2 minute walk which we loved. Make sure you wear sneakers as there are cobblestone streets and stairs. I can not recommend this boutique hotel enough. 5 stars all the way. We will be back!!

This is a charming hotel. We enjoyed our stay very much but I don’t believe the rooms were worth what we paid. For us, it was $2000cad for 2 nights, incl taxes. The bed was extremely hard so that was an issue for us, but some prefer it that way I would assume. The ambiance is beautiful and the restaurant was fabulous and a gorgeous view. In short, beautiful but overpriced.

I honestly think this was one of the nicest hotels we ever stayed in. It is completely charming, full of great character, and is genuinely really beautiful. All the staff are so friendly, especially Veronica the concierge. She organized for us to take a boat down the coast with a captain called Enrique in a panga boat called a Ezekiel to Las Animas beach, I thoroughly recommend this. We went snorkeling and had a great time and delicious fish lunch on the beach. The hotel is very well situated right in the middle of the town , and has a really good restaurant on the terrace. Excellent swimming pools too. Honestly, it was the best decision we ever made to come here, and we will definitely return.

The hotel feels like a large private home. We felt at ease in the quiet garden-like interior. Excellent and attentive service. Lovely views of the water, mountains, and city. There is a very good restaurant that serves dinner: superb food and service. Highly recommended.

Pros-Beautiful Hotel…Great vibe…great service…really good restaurant and great views
Cons-This is really strange to say and I like dogs…But an employee of the hotel brings there little white dog during the day…It barks all day long…We couldn’t relax…couldn’t read…It’s an open compound and it just is really annoying…doesn’t management relalize it’s ruining the stay of there guests

We loved everything about this hotel - the staff was friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, and the grounds were beautiful. The only thing drawback was the non-existent water pressure - barely enough to rinse out the shampoo in the shower.
