The staff could not find our reservations. When we finally got our rooms situated my mothers room had 1 king size bed that should have been 2 doubles. We ended up having to give up our room to them (which had 2 beds) because they said there were no rooms available. They said they had upgraded my mothers room to a king size bed but they had 3 people in the room so that was not going to work. So we had to give up our room and 1 person had to sleep on the couch. Not as comfortable. Air conditioner was very loud. All in all still a nice place.

This property seems to be getting a bit dated.
The hot tub was not working in the pool, clock on the wall was also not working in pool area and it must of been over 100 degrees in that area with no air circulation whatsoever.
We had no hot breakfast the first morning for some reason and we had to ask attendant for coffee at 7 am. The large carafe was empty, the attendant was wearing ear buds so we had to ask her 3 times for coffee.
And a carryover from Covid days room was not cleaned on our 2 night stay I guess this is a cost cutting measure but prices do not reflect this that for sure.
I think the best part about this hotel in the area.

The rooms smell horrible and are in dire need of a deep cleaning. The carpets give off a musty smell that is nearly impossible to mask or overcome.

The hotel was good value for money and in a great location for us. We have stayed here before. This time the room was musty- probably from the air conditioner/ heat unit. So much so we had to air and wash everything to remove the odour when we got home. Three days later and belonging are still airing. Have had this issue with Hampton before. It’s like the unit ages out or can’t be cleaned.

Very noisy unfortunately. The staff did their best to accommodate so I didn’t want to mark down for that. The staff were all great. The room was very clean and easy for my disabled daughter to navigate.

Beds were very comfortable and room was clean but had a very bad odor of cumin that was extremely strong. The front desk was very accommodating and sprayed the room and air conditioner filter while we went to dinner, but it wasn’t enough to mask the smell. Coming back into the room or coming out of the shower, the smell was prominent.

I have stayed at this hotel the last few business trips I have had to the Detroit area. I really like it here, the staff is pleasant and the beds are super comfortable!

It was a great stay. Most of the staff was really friendly and helpful. The surrounding areas were so nice and peaceful. I went for a nice natured walk through the neighborhood in the back by a water creek. I’d love to come back.

Pretty good location and close to restaurants and the location where my business summit was.
The minute you walk into room 218
It smells like BO or an outdoor sunroom that has been cleaned poorly.
Very musty
I put on the fan and that helped periodically. Unfortunately the AC and fan shut off automatically through the night.
I did not get much sleep because of the fan issues and smell.
The bathroom and closet were smell free and very clean.
The pillows and bed were very uncomfortable.
I would stay here again if they update the rooms fan and smell. Not sure if they need to clean the windows and curtains or just need to fix the fan. The smell was not fun to comeback to after a long day of meetings and listening to presentations.
The breakfast was great and the staff were very friendly!

I paid a decent amount of money for a weekend stay here, and I was disappointed.
The wallpaper was peeling up in the room (large chunk) and was black behind it and on the wall... the bathtub fixture fell out when I gave my son a bath and it was black and gunky underneath, the plugs near the beds all didnt even hold the plugs in, they just kept falling out.
All that aside, I accidently left my jacket in the coat closet of my room... didnt notice for 4.5 hours when we got home and settled. Upon return it was convienently missing cash that I had in my inner pocket which was zipped (I never zip that pocket). Hope whoever pocketed my nephews birthday money needed it more than I did... I cant prove it though so I cant really do anything about it.

We stay here all the time , overall we like it. Just wish they would have beds made everyday and fresh towels. Then they would get 5 stars. Covid is over.

I only stayed for 1 night. I came down to take my NCLEX exam. The staff were very helpful in showing me how to find my test site, it was walking distance. Let me keep my car i. The parking lot while I was testing. There was minimal noise, and the bed was very comfortable

I stayed at Hampton because their beds are supposed to be very comfortable as well as pillows. With that said, my bed was hard, my pillows WAY overstuffed, tv didn't work first two nights, only one person at front desk and couldn't help me, tv was positioned way to left I wasn't comfortable to watch tv like that. The breakfast was extremely minimal, and coffee was always out. I chose to pay more for comfort BUT INSTEAD I got a week of terrible sleep

I basically gave it a three because there was no room service, we should’ve been told that when booking , the heat was hard to work also you was not able to watch Netflix or any other app, so we had to watch regular tv, or used TV on demand. but the staff was very friendly!

The property was clean and the room was nice. We would stay there again. There was always a long wait for the elevators when we were there and the signage for the elevators was very sparse.

We flew in from out of town for Thanksgiving. I booked two rooms for my family and asked that we be next to each other. They did the best they could, which wasn’t a big deal. What was a big deal was being stuck right in the middle of a block of rooms for a travel hockey team. There was zero respect for anyone around them and they were loud well into the middle of the night. The first night I called the front desk to see if there were quiet hours and the night replied with “he wasn’t aware of any”. I was dreading the next night because we were having to get up at 3 am to get to the airport and I was already figuring I wouldn’t get any sleep. When I saw it was the same night guy I knew I wouldn’t. This time the hockey parents were loud and partied until about 2am and the front desk did nothing about it. Otherwise the location was fantastic. If we came back I’d probably try the Hilton across the parking lot and see if they aren’t a party hotel.

They had a fitness center and a pool with easy access to both. They also had the option of getting breakfast as well.

Everything was fine except for a fire alarm at 2 am and had to evacuate the building. Turned out a false alarm. However you had a number of frustrated customers.
