Great hotel, only wish the air conditioning worked a bit better!

Very well standards of this older beach resort.
Unique beautyful design from 60-70ths, well mantained to keep the old surfaces.
Private small beach down the steps from the cliff.
Sunbeds at the pool area or the sand etage to choose between.
A minus is that they charge daily for using the pool or the gym.
Water bottles for 3 euros is not ok either.
Service level is what to expect from south Italy and 4 stars.

We had a great stay there, but we're disappointed that the beach under the hotel was not available, due to the fact that the water this year arrived up to the hotel walls. I completely understand it is not something that the hotel can control and in fact am not upset with the hotel about this, but it is something they should mention on the booking site, since we mainly booked for this reason - convenient
beachfront property with private beach (because of this inconvenience, they should not make you pay extra to use the pool then).

We stayed 3 nights with my kid, waiting for my husband to join us and continue the trip on. So it served the purpose. We were by the sea swimming every day, the price is cheaper then in other places, easy to reach by train from the airport. But I would not stay here longer then 2 days. The little city is falling apart, very sad and ugly, lots of garbage. The beach was ok, but also could be cleaner. Lots of people were smoking just near my kid, which was incredibly annoying. Service at the reception was helpful and professional. But no possibility to book a taxi. Breakfast ok for 2 days, but dinner was rather bad ((((( Food at the Bar was nice. We had amazing dinner at La Vela Latina. Just 2 minutes walk ;)

I don't know in which century this hotel was a 4 ⭐. The hotel is worn down , some of the access way to the beach is is about to fall down, Breakfast wad okay. Pool use way over priced. There was a lot of noise in tje morning and evening for children banging on walls..

Older property, in need of some renovation and upkeep. Bathroom door had a hole in it, shower frame was broken. Shutter was rusted and not operational. Air conditioner was noisy. Extra charge for pool??
Staff were very helpful and pleasing to work with.

Omg this hotel is like going to a horror movie, I should have ran back out, the smell and the level of dirty and roaches as soon as you get to the lobby and elevators, it’s insane then you had to follow a tunnel to where your room is , so creepy, the pool has no water is empty lol, the room was so bad too smell like old people and just old and musky, the toilet leaking on the floor and the shower overflow, I was traveling with my mom and sister, it was so unsafe that we took turns to sleep, there were no hotels available in Tome to rent that night otherwise we would have left asap DONT STAY THERE I don’t even know how this place exist, the guy when we check in wanted to keep our passports as well I told him I was not leaving my passport with him, the worst experience of my whole trip

Beautiful views from room. In a very quiet neighborhood. Right on the Mediterranean. Can walk everywhere. No taxi service to take us to the train we had to walk about 25 mins.

I liked the proximity between the swimming pool and the beach. I had a beach view from my room which I absolutely loved! Unfortunately, I found that paying for the covers of the tables was quite unnecessary. I was required to pay extra per lunch/dinner which seems unfair. Moreover, the reception was not welcoming to my arrival and I had to argue with them to prove my points. However, Samir was extremely polite and helpful as he comforted me when I felt down. Also, Hesham and Haitham were really friendly people who never failed to put a smile on our faces. Therefore, the facilities were fantastic especially the lifeguards (both Mohammed’s and Yusuf) but the restaurant and attitudes from the reception did not satisfy me.

The view from the balcony is amazing...being right on the beach is such a convenience, especially with small children. There are quite a few steps to go down and there's a nice bar with food & drinks halfway down. Unfortunately we didn't use the pool because you have to pay extra (8 euros a day) but that's ok because the sea is crystal clear and clean...really great! The room is small and simple and the main building is a bit outdated (furniture) but for the price/location it's a great deal! It takes 5 minutes by car to arrive at the center of Anzio...full of restaurants and a cute piazza with lots of people. We will be back!

Stayed with friends, unfriendly staff, not a 4 star hotel should be 2 or 3 max. They charge extra for pool, umbrellas, gym etc. gym costs 6 EUR now even though there is no fee stated on the website.

The hotel id well located. The room we had needed a remodeling. The TV was an old style large table cabinet type. Not a flat screen.
The hotel restaurant was a bit of a disaster. Not only did the waiter get the order wrong. (Two persons and only one persons entree was served. Waiter claimed the second person did not want the second plate of a pre-fix menu.) What was received was terrible. Only bad experience for food in Italy.Reception desk service was friendly and efficient. Free close by parking is a big plus.

Bathrooms are very very small. Shower head in need of repair; room was confortable otherwise

Safe, walking distance to public beach, you cannot swim in front of the hotel due to rocky shore. Yes, its a little older but it is a beach hotel, about 15 minute walk from train station.

Hasn’t been renovated since the 60s - 70s, and won’t be. Uninspired and low quality breakfasts and dinners, barebones bathrooms and rooms and beds. Very nice staff.

We had a pretty comfortable stay at the Dei Cesari hotel, but there's some things that need improvement:
1. The swimming pool closes at 19:30 which is really early, especially when you've been out in the heat all day and really want to take a refreshing dip in the pool, only to find out that the pool is closed.
2. The owners make it abundantly clear that their parking privileges are higher than the parking privileges for their guests. Parking is free, which is great but I found it quite annoying that the cars of the owners (and family / friends) were parked right in front of the hotel entrance, sometimes blocking the path for guests to load and unload luggage from their cars.
3. The room in the dependance was ok but very very old. Rust on the radiator, closets that won't close and paint that falls off the ceiling is not what guests enjoy
4. Food in the hotel restaurant was ok but very expensive for what you get. The desert portions were quite large, but the main course was quite a small portion.
Aside from the above points we have enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Our room had a perfect sea view, which was quite a pleasant surprise.

The Hotel was super nice, clean, and right by the beach. The Front desk and rest of the staff were polite and very helpful- if only customer service as was that good in the US

we were part of a wedding party of 62 . stayed 3 nights . lovely pool . pool bar was good food was great from there not so much the restaurant but that was my opinion others seemed to like it . Anzio its self isn't really a tourist area so we had trouble getting taxi to go out . but when we did go to restaurant i found the people to be very friendly and helpful .

This is a charming, old hotel in a great location. It was very clean, which is often an issue in older hotels. We enjoyed the beach and the pool, both have a great view. The staff was very helpful.

Finer details of hotel rooms missing. To use the fridge you are forced to buy from their bars, so putting your own vodka bottle in is prohibited. The rooms by the sea front are small, although you have the sea in front of you.Having said that, being on the balcony is the equivalent of looking out to sea from a bunker. (Plastic machine guns facing out could make being on the balcony into a feature and maybe more agreeable.) When you sit you cannot see over the top of the solid concrete wall. One senior staff member queried what my business was being in the hotel by the reception, He clearly thought I walked in from the street. He was doing his job, but there are more subtle and diplomatic ways of questioning 'clients'. Fortunately someone behind reception put him in his place, but no apology was offered. When drinking at the bar your aperitifs are normal price, sit two meters away from the bar, or sit outside, there is an outrages 30% service charge on top of the price. I agree a charge is applicable, but 30% is extortion. We paid well over 100 Euros for this room, which most certainly not reflected in the quality of sea front section of this hotel.

Worst hotel I've stayed in a long time. Dirty with cots, not beds. Every time you take a shower it floods. Old and beat up and the maids don't clean as there were spiders webs and cockroaches.
The food at the hotel restaurant was inedible. My son ordered a hamburger and they brought him 2 hockey pucks with white stuff which I think was cheese. I ordered sea bass and got a tiny fish that was all bones. Also, the water is milky.
The beach and beach bar are decent but there's some sort of drainage pipe next to their beach going into the sea.

We chose this hotel based on its beach picture. It did not disappoint. We loved the cleanliness of the beach and pool, the friendliness of it's staff, and the ease of access from the Metro.

Nice beach area. On the beach and also a sandy area above it. Pool was never crowded. Might be different later into the season. Staff was helpful. Looks like maybe built as a convention hotel. Kind of a tired old girl. Probably try to stay in the Port area next trip. Not because of the Hotel, just location. Great Public beach area just down the road, 5 minutes, snack bar, lounges, great people watching. Pool menu in photo.
