My friend and I went to The Sands Hotel for 5 full days. The service was really good, staff was attentive, the breakfast, lunch and dinner options were great! The drinks were good too, try their rum punch! I would recommend The Sands for a nice and relaxing stay. The beach in front was very beautiful! Very safe place.

Liked: Beautiful setting and grounds and beach within a few steps. Staff was friendly, positive, and accommodating. My family suite's balcony had a perfect view of the pool and beach in the distance.
Disliked: Living room area was not air conditioned (although this was made clear in description of the hotel). Air condition was only in the two bedrooms. My son was hot sleeping in the bed placed in the living room next to a floor fan. Family of 5.

The staff at the sands were excellent, from Monika and the guys at the Front desk to Tracia Ann and Onisha in F&B. The girls and Dwayne in the bar made our experience in Barbados much more comfortable. Our rooms were well kept and the food was good. Noir on the roof top gets an A . Thank you for a wonderful service and we will definitely be back.

Just to be transparent we did come in the day before Hurricane Beryl. Everything was limited activities access to pool and beach. Food was mediocre with access to one restaurant of the two on the property. My standard single room looked like a dom room. The manager was gracious and upgraded to double. Staff was very limited days after the hurricane, staff sid the best they could under the circumstances.

Not great -
At check in we got there at 12 but "check in wasnt until 4" so the girl checking us in said we can buy a day pass to use the amenities, luckily my wife stepped in before i blew my top and asked if they can make an exception since we were only 4 hours away from check in time, which they ended up doing for us. Food was below average at best with no quality control because each time you ordered the same thing it was completely different. The beach was small and covered in seaweed, even in cancun they clean the seaweed daily on a beach 5xs the size. The hotel was also getting work done it would have been nice to know that ahead of time.
The room was nice we had an ocean view.
I will say they accomidated our reservation because our trip was pushed back a day due to weather and they switched dates to help us so that was greatly appreciated, their reservation department is about the only great thing with this hotel.

Unfortunately, the beach was unusable due to the amount of seaweed. We recognize that this is not the property’s fault and they rectified the problem by transferring us to their sister hotel for the day (Mango Bay) which was absolutely beautiful. We are thrilled that we were able to enjoy some beach time during our stay. Weather was perfect - would come back again!

Great place ! Quiet after doors closed. Great tour, nice staff, if you needed anything just had to ask. They accommodated whatever you didn't like. Just overall great beach, great place.

Check In service was horrible.. Rude and not helpful..
ONCE YOU SAY YIUR FROM NY they already looked at you differently, as told to me by multiple Cab Drivers..
SAY YOU ARE FROM ELSEWHERE.. just not New York.

Very clean and nice pool area and beach bar.. Food was below average, alcohol drinks were just ok. Service was ok. For the price I’ve paid for an all-inclusive resort the food and drinks were terrible. The restaurant Noir dress code is too strict. all white sneakers was unacceptable, no shorts allowed, skin can’t be showing while wearing a dress or skirt. Just entirely too much. Very disappointing experience

The facility was great, the meals were terrible. Started going out for lunch and dinner after second night.

Great hotel, nice staff, food was ok, a lot of older people at the hotel

The manager was very friendly. The property was very well maintained. Was unable to get into the spa, but the time on the beach was lovely. Probably more fitting for much older guest, but definitely relaxing. The food was not good especially for island cuisine. We did not feel like the overall weight staff or resort staff was very welcoming. I'm not sure if it was because we were LGBT or not, but it felt very unpleasant so we spent most of our time in our room or off the resort. It is a beautiful resort. It has great access to the beach with a beautiful sunset. The rooms were very clean and well stocked for the most part minus wash clothes.

From the 1st day we were treated well. The staff, Sherika amd Ceth was the best their service was simply amazing. They made sure we had everything we needed. Even if we called they immediately send someone or Ceth came hisself to take care of us..the food was marvelous, the drinks were good and the kitchen staff was polite, courteous and respectful. I will surely be coming back to this resort when i plan my next trip. Simply amazing. The staff.was knowledgeable about events on the island and made sure we were able to attend those we wanted to go to. I hated leaving but i had to go home. One of my best vacations

Everything was wonderful.

Lovely beachside location and facilities - but very near to busy road. Excellent dining and restaurant staff. Rooms very plain and a little disappointing. ‘Sea View’ description is rather misleading for the rooms close to reception.

The staff were superb attending to your every need, especially if you have food issues. They were lovely! The beach was second to none.

The hotel was clean and contemporary. Food was good- it’s mostly a la carte at ‘On The Water’ restaurant and we were pleased with the options, presentation and taste of the meals. The Sunday lunch was buffet style and it was amazing and dinner at Noir was phenomenal! Staff was accommodating and friendly. It was my first time staying at this hotel and it exceeded my expectations. Most of the beaches are covered in seaweed currently, unfortunately, which masks their beauty.

The property is in need of an upgrade. Not what I was expecting for the money. No amenities to speak of and the meal offering were limited and lack flavor. Don’t get me wrong, the staff was courteous, respectful and very helpful and of course the beech was great. I would not stay here again.

The beach was spectacular and so was the pool. Quality of food was below standards for Barbados and the cost of our holiday. I would say it was par with Cuban resort food. Very disappointed. The only restaurant was extremely disorganized. At the beginning of our holiday you would have to ask for a cup of coffee at least 3-4 times and if you’re lucky you would get it at the end of your meal. We finally realized after about 5 days that you could actually order eggs or omelettes. The scrambled eggs at the buffet we’re sitting in water. ( pretty much like hospital food). The omelette were good but if you ordered over easy eggs, there was nothing runny or even the yolk intact. The toaster never worked properly and you only got warm bread. Anyway, breakfast still was the best meal overall. It was either a la carte or buffet for lunch or dinner. You really never knew what you were going to get upon arrival. I was shocked one day for this high end resort to have a hot dog with fries on the a la carte menu. The girls serving are very nice and polite. The bartenders worked really hard and made excellent drinks despite working directly in the sun beating in on them with no fans or shade. It was at least 35 degrees if not more. I feel that the owner is cutting costs everywhere to save money.
The towels in the room were like sandpaper and not very plush. For a newer resort you would expect better towels. Also they advertise robes in the rooms for guests but that’s not true.
