We were Overly-Pleased with the Henderson! The staff was very friendly & helpful! the rooms and property were clean. The food was delicious! the location to the beach was good! No Complaints; hope to return soon!

Hotel overall is extremely nice although had several issues. First had an issue with the final invoice and have still not received a response from anyone to correct it. Seems like once they had my money they are not worried about it. The options for parking are 30.00 for self park a night and 35.00 for valet. We did the self park which and they’re doing construction so our vehicle was covered in concrete dust but still paid 30.00 a night. A resort of this time shouldn’t be charging customers to park. You also have to pay nightly for WIFI 15.00. Yes you have to pay for WiFi. You can go to McDonalds and get good wifi. The free WiFi they do have at the resort is so slow that it’s their way of getting you to pay for the fast WiFi out of frustration. We went to the beach where they have a hut to get towels etc. The employee informed us that we could only have 1 towel per person. Like we plan to steal towels. We were with our toddler and wanted to sit on the sand after getting into the ocean. So I had to walk the 1/4 mile back to the hotel and bring towels from there. Several little things that make it seem like a 4 star resort but they treat stuff like it’s a cheap air line trying to nickle and dime you to death.

Elegant, clean, very accommodating hotel with lots of activities for kids. Beautiful beach. Room was very spacious with big balcony. Excellent customer service. We ll be back soon !

The view of the water is deceiving. In the photo it seems much closer. I live here in Destin on the water, my view is 10 times better from my condo. My server from the restaurant, Horizon carried a 5 minutes conversation 3-4 times in 30 minutes with the guest right next to us. He had a glass of Prosecco in his hand that we had order, after 3-4 minutes my daughter got up from her chair and turned around and said excuse that is my glass of wine. There were a total of 3 guest with 3 servers and another one popping in and out "they were not busy at all". That's how long it took to get our drinks. Thank God someone noticed and gave us a new server. My son left at 1;00 am because his bed was uncomfortable. I could not sit on the patio because someone was smoking on their patio. I even left a day early because this was not the hotel/resort I wanted to spend another day.

Best trip for my family! Great hotel/Resort! Close access to shopping and other activities. We really didn’t have to leave for anything. Service was great and the atmosphere was peaceful. Awesome food service! And everyone was welcoming! Very close to the beach, walking distance. Family and pet-friendly. We will be visiting again soon!!!

Such a beautiful property. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We loved that the beach was just a few minutes walk away and that we could very easily rent chairs and an umbrella. The only thing we would have liked to see in our room was a mini fridge (not just a cooler thats provided) as well as a microwave.

Beautiful resort with all the conveniences. We are planning another visit already. Our only chronic problem was with Housekeeping removing our dirty towels and not replacing them. We had a problem on multiple days. It was always resolved but it was always repeated. The pools were well maintained, staff was friendly, and the location was perfectly close to nice shopping and a short walk to a popular ice cream shop.

For a true resort experience in Destin , this is the only place. Nice, clean, feels fancy. Amazing pools, even the valets were professional. The down side. The beach. You have to walk a good ways across the street. Then if you don't book chairs 2 weeks before you get there don't think about front row. Any other row there is no view of the beach, no wind, and extremely cramped. They say not to but the chair dude let us in on a secret. Bring a small cooler and your own chair and sit in the water directly next to the walkway. Public beach there is dead, not crowded and you don't have to wait an hour in between drinks that they want to serve you. Service on the beach does t open till 11!!! and they are terribly slow delivering to you.

The room tub stopper did not work, the fan made this squeaking noise. Some of the food was not up to par. Got a burger for $21 and it was more than well done close to burnt. For $568 a night my expectations I guess were might higher than theirs.

It was an amazing short vacation! Everything was excellent! The stuff was very friendly and helpful! Not the cheapest but it was worth every penny, with the beautiful ocean view from our balcony and amazingly beautiful emerald shores!

There were only a few issues, but overall everything was fantastic. One, the air conditioning was a bit fussy and we had to keep adjusting it but it wasn’t a huge deal. Two, housekeeping forgot to replenish our towels once and I called the front desk for more. And three, I went to the rooftop bar our first night to get a sunset picture. I was told there was a private party and had to leave. I explained I didn’t want to be served food or drink, just wanted to take a picture and go but the person who spoke to me was rude about it and insisted I leave right then and there. The next several days at sunset were cloudy and I wasn’t able to get the picture I wanted so that really was handled poorly by the staff in my opinion. Other than that I loved the resort and the grounds, the beach was a short walk through locked gates (use your room key to access) and I felt very safe the whole time there. Their pools and lazy river are amazing and we loved those. The resort is very close to attractions and restaurants and conveniently located.

The Henderson Resort and spa is a beautiful place. The service is first class. The room was so pretty and the bed was comfortable. We had a king room with gulf view but there was quite a bit of road noise, construction and tour helicopters that made sitting on our balcony less than relaxing. We sat by the adult pool for awhile but the water was too cool for me. The grounds are meticulously kept. We walked on the beach several times. It was a 15 minute walk from our room (a bit of a maze to get there) We ordered room service and used the pool bar and breakfast restaurant while we were there. The food was good but pricey. We were going to try the spa but again it seemed a bit overpriced for Destin. Destin was not what we were hoping. Such a gorgeous coastline that has been spoiled by over development. Chain stores and restaurants aren't what we are looking for in a vacation destination. That's why Orlando doesn't top our list of Florida hot spots. We won't be coming back, but if a busy tourist town is your idea of fun, the Henderson Resort is a lovely place to stay.

Beautiful property, lots of things to do off property, too like shopping. The beach was very close within walking distance. Beautiful views and nice restaurants. I recommend! Wish my room had a long mirror but other than that very happy with my stay.

I had such high hopes for this resort. So pretty. Looked high end. But the staff were very disorganized. Communication was a disaster. Everything was slow. The food was mediocre at best. Took two hour to be served at their restaurant. A lot of waiting time. Very expensive good that was either over cooked or undercooked. Couldn’t get them to fill our shampoo in the shower until I walked out at asked housekeeping in the hall for a bottle of it in my robe. Dusty dirty rooms. Hair ties under the bed. Hair in the corners. Bees nest on the decks. Just not very well managed. The managers tried very hard to accommodate us when we got frustrated with the service and food issues. But, their staff was not good. So things promised didn’t actually happen. I even have to give this resort a 1 star for privacy issues. Even with the do not disturb sign on the door. The housekeeping would try to come in. Sometimes with out knocking. Or wouldn’t give enough time to jump up and stop them. Trying to come in the room at 8:30 in the morning. We even get walked in on when showering. Very disturbing. This happened all week even after we complained.
