Great hospitality. Very funky and fun atmosphere.

Everything seemed pretty worn out in the room. I wouldn't describe a record player and some local artwork as "boutique". The resort fees are a ridiculous tack on...

It's fine. Our bathroom (floor/shower) needs to be updated. We were in room #1 and is was noisy with street traffic.

This hotel is so cute!! The restaurant/bar had fantastic cocktails and food and there was even drag bingo the night we were there!! Everyone was so nice, the room was very modern, clean, and comfy. Close to several bars, I recommend the Sports Page, it has bonus holes! Overall a great first time in Eau Claire!!

Nice accommodations, great location, good parking. Not a typical hotel, more people oriented than a chain. Accomodations kind a cross between mid-century modern and European gasthaust but spacious. Newly remodeled, great shower, record player in room, records at desk to check out . Good food & draft beer but limited selection on food. Close to downtown and probably Mayo Clinic. October seems to be “off season” but there were some runners and cyclists.

Sink was cracked and did not drain well. Lightbulb was burned out. Towel rack fell off the wall and floor was dirty under the bed. Check went well and location is excellent. Staff was pleasant, and it was nice they offered oatmeal in the morning, but coffee was so so.

Delightful place with in room record players! A library of vinyls in the lobby.

We stayed in an outer room right off the parking lot and next to the outdoor patio. It was raining the night we were there so nothing was going on on the patio, yet the outdoor music was on and it was loud. We could hear it clearly enough in our room that I could make out the lyrics. Finally at 10:00 my husband called the desk and asked them to turn off the music, which they did. The room was also noisy because of street traffic. The room was adequate but nothing special. The window only had a blackout curtain so it was dark when that was down but if you want to let daylight in, there is no covering on the window to hide the view into your room. We were supposed to stay a second night but decided not to see how noisy it would be on a Friday night with good weather and went home early.

We had stayed at The Oxbow a few years ago, and things have gone down hill a bit since then. The carpet on the 2nd floor was in really bad shape, and the Lakely restaurant that had been open for breakfast, lunch & dinner is now only open from 5-10p.

Nice hotel with personal charm. Nice staff. There is a bar. The restaurant really only serves bar food and even then not everything was available.

Wonderful boutique hotel in downtown Eau Claire. Restaurants and pubs were within walking distance. River walk was relaxing. One concern: I was charged a $20 “Adventure Fee” for use of bikes, or records, etc. Did not expect that fee nor did I have use for it.

Room smelled musty and mildewy.

I felt bad for walking downstairs speaking loudly on the phone when I know people in the bar got distracted along with the cute, sweet singer on stage. If there were a door to compartmentalize the rooms in order for folks like myself to NOT interrupt the talent.... I know it's nothing innovative but I just wanted to say sorry! I had no idea there was live music,

The bathroom vent had had water leaking through from the storm.

The staff was great and the area was fun. The staff definitely seemed to care

Stay would have been much better if there wasn’t a fire alarm both of the nights we stayed. Showers could use some updating, but every else was good.

The hotel consists of two buildings. The one we were placed in had no elevator to our second story room. At our ages (70s) we did not appreciate having to lug bags up a flight of stairs. Also hotel charges a $10 fee that was not described in Expedia listing.

The rooms smell musty. But other than that good.

Rooms were small and gave that efficiency apartment vibe. The futon was hard as a rock and very uncomfortable to sit and sleep in, our child let us know that the next day. No TV in the bedroom, and the bed was not comfortable either. The room's AC was underpowered and no matter how you changed the settings, the fan speed and cooling never changed. The outdoor patio was nice, with lots of seating and fire pits. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Neat pocket hotel design, but there were rooms with parking lot facing doors, so it's more of a motel/hotel depending on what room you get.

Bed is low to the ground so if you have bad knees i would not recommend. Had a lock for the bathroom but no way to actually lock it.

Great place to stay downtown. Bike paths are right across the street. Didn’t need to drive any where

Enjoyed my stay at this lovely boutique hotel. Loads of charm, shopping, places to eat & walking/biking trails. Definitely will stay here again.

More unique decor than most hotels, including record player. Nice employees. Cool bar with a couple unique drinks. Small room on first floor had a tiny patio, slight scent of a basement, and ear plugs if you might be bothered by minor road noise. Coffee and instant oatmeal for breakfast; a couple coffee shops within 4 blocks. Glad I tried it.

Loved our experience! The entire hotel was unique and has the best atmosphere. We had a great time in Eau Claire and this hotel was a big part of the reason!!

The hotel has a very fun vibe and I could see where on a night when there was music it could be awesome. They let guests borrow three vinyl albums to play in the room's record player, very cool. The decor is midcentury modern with nice little touches throughout. Unfortunately for us, we got the last room and it had a very musty smell. The room was cold and if we used the heat, the smell was overpowering. The flooring is super thin carpet tiles over concrete so felt cold and a little funky. I probably wouldn't stay again but I would go there to listen to music.

This is an updated motel. The staff was amazing. It is walkable to the food co-op and an awesome Thai food place.

The hotel was very cute and clean. Staff were friendly and accommodating. There’s a record player in the room, and we could check out up to 3 records at a time from the front desk. There were also bikes and board games to check out, all included in the resort fee. Parking was tricky though. Parking lot is conveniently located but it’s difficult to find a spot in a limited parking area if you arrive past 8 pm.

It was surprisingly quiet given that it is also a motel style hotel. The AC was awesome even though it was 90 outside!

This was a great hotel! It was very clean and I loved having the restaurant right there. They had great appetizers that we shared while listening to some really great music. It made our stay extra special!

Nicely appointed room. Comfortable bed. My only complaint was how damp the room was. I turned up the air to 77 from 65, but the dampness never went away. Close walking to downtown.

Quirky boutique hotel, great location near downtown. No microwave, just refrigerator. Record player in room, records available at the front desk. Attached bar with appetizers, no full restaurant. Fried cheese curds and fries were excellent. Shower had no shelf for soap, shampoo, etc. Biggest negative: carpet had apparently been recently shampooed and feet/socks were wet the entire 3 days. Minor negative: policy is that housekeeping doesn't come at all during your stay, only after you leave.

The comforter was too heavy for summer. Great shower. Comfortable bed.
