I would avoid this property unless they change their management. We were not given any checkin instructions beforehand and had to reach out and call the management company 45 minutes before our arrival to get access information. There were live bear wires in front of every entrance when we arrived to the property, which can shock you. We had to deactivate the system and remove the wires before we entered the property. The garage was empty, but per the house instructions, we were not allowed to use it and had to park all cars outside.
However the worst part was that we were out of hot water for a day and night and had to attempt to shower and wash dishes in icy cold water. The management company said they called 4 plumbers and were unable to get anyone out that night to fix the hot water. 2 of our guests ended up leaving that night and the rest of us left early the next morning (the day of our checkout). While we understand that it was difficult to find a plumber last minute, there was no empathy to our situation and they refused to help compensate us for the inconvenience. They basically blamed us for not notifying them sooner of the hot water issue (we notified them at around 7pm that night since most of us were out skiing). They said since they are just a management company and do not own the house, they did their job (even though the issue was unable to be fixed), and had no authority to offer us any compensation for the major inconvenience of not having hot water.

The house was per the listing. The location is a bit far into the subdivision but we were able to get around with ease. easily got to the Tahoe Rim Trail via a short, steep walk. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, cutlery, utensils, and the like. The induction stove was nice, the grill was large and had a full bottle of propane. There were coffee filters, paper towels, tissues, toilet paper in abundance. The wrap around back deck was spectacular. Located at the end of the street, very private and the large trees provided some shade. There is no air conditioning, so it was a bit warm, but each bedroom had it own fan. The main sitting area was a bit small for our group of seven, but we had all our meals on the deck. There is a large kitchen table that we could use for work spaces and for game night. The game room under the garage is nice, the pool table is a bit sloped. There were a lot of moths in the garage for some reason. The garage has a separate drinks fridge that was nice to store the overflow. There were also a few moths in the house. The screens were not perfected sealed, and the back slider door came off the tracks frequently. The downstairs was a bit dark, but it was cooler in the bedrooms. The decks were covered in pine pollen when we checked in, that time of year, but we were able to hose off the decks. Would have been nice for the cleaners to do that for us. Had some issues with the hot tub, but those were fixed. We had a great family reunion.

Lovely cabin. Room for multi-generational family group. Nice snow play area out front. Grandkids enjoyed the rec room. Not a bad place to be snowed in.

Four of us ended up staying for a golf trip and the house couldn't have worked out better. Beds were comfortable and plenty of space for everyone. The game room was well equipped and well utilized and the kitchen was a great size and easy to move around. The surrounding neighborhood was beautiful and there was a nice loop to walk. Not to mention being surrounded by woods. Property Manager was very responsive. We would rent this again.

Overall the place was great. Close to everything in N. Tahoe and being in a cul de sac was a plus. The house has everything you need and the game room was a bonus. The only negative was the welcome book said there was Direct TV, but I couldn’t locate it. It would be nice if each room had a TV for those times when you just wanna relax in bed and watch some TV or a movie.
Overall, a wonderful much needed vacation.

This was a wonderful and spacious home! Great walking out the front door, quiet neighborhood, excellent outdoor deck with shade and dog friendly. Kitchen was well stocked too. We didn't take advantage of the game room -- but hopefully in winter time with our full family crew -- next time!

Everything was perfect! The hot tub was heated when we got there and ready for use. There was plenty of propane for the BBQ. The location was gorgeous and everything was better than the pictures showed. The back deck was perfect for our puppy to sunbathe all day. Communication was good with the property management team. I would really have to nit pick to say anything negative- so I won't. It was beyond our expectations and hope to go back again!

We come to Tahoe every year during our kids' mid-winter break and have stayed in a lot of rentals, but this was one of my favorites! We brought up some of our kids' friends (ages 12-15) and they LOVED the game room (and of course the hot tub! :)). The beds were unbelievably comfortable, the living space had a great open layout where we could all be together, and having a real wood fireplace was delightful! It was also nice to be at then very end of the street with sledding in our own front yard! We were lucky to have about a foot of snow during our stay and there were amazing hiking trails with untouched powder right out the front door - our dog couldn't have been happier! I'd also like to say that the property manager, Mischel, was super helpful when we had some issues during Presidents' Day weekend. The remote for the tv stopped working and she took the time to email the property owners and we were able to get a solution worked out. We also had power go out in one section of the house and weren't able to fix it ourselves so she sent someone out during the holiday weekend to get it taken care of. (It turns out you can't run the coffee maker and microwave at the same time! Old wiring... :)) We're grateful for our time at the Woodcrest Cabin and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun escape to Tahoe!

Had a great time with family. Loved the game room. Hot tub nice. Access thru bedroom not ideal. Lower level bedrooms could use comfortable mattresses. The master is comfy with a great view. Kitchen open to dining and living space. Rustic cabin feel.

Great property with a huge gameroom and great hangout space to get away and spend time with friends. My only call out is that the layout is a bit odd that the only entrance to the hot tub is through one of the bedrooms downstairs. Otherwise a nice space to have fun and spend time in Tahoe.

We loved the house had everything we needed to feel at home. Kitchen was very well stocked. Fireplace was were we seemed to gather. Although the game room did get used at night.

We enjoyed our first white Christmas!
We had a bit more snow then we bargained for - our golden retriever loved it!
Very comfortable cabin with everything you need. Great game room!
Would love to stay at the cabin in the summer time - only 5 minutes from the lake.

Great family place to stay. Plenty of room for us. We enjoyed the game room and the family room. Walking out front door and hiking.

This property was everything we had hoped for. The balcony alone is worth your stay. Many naps were taken by the family on it. The game room was also a welcome addition for us and the kids. I would definitely stay here again

The property was beautiful and the house felt like a home which is always comforting. My family and I truly enjoyed ourselves. Another plus was that it was close by a variety of places.

Woodcrest Cabin is nicely tucked in quiet neighborhood. We were looking to get away from our urban home in the bay. This property him gave us so much space. The kitchen is fully stocked, with beautiful views of nature, we ended up cooking the whole stay. There is also a big game room my teenagers enjoyed. We would definitely stay at Woodcrest again!

Mischel is pleasant, allowed us to bring our dog last minute, and was quick to respond when we were at the house. The house was nice and clean, and it's nice that it's at a dead end. There were lots of games in the closet. There's a beautiful fireplace in the living room, but the pictures portray a much bigger room. We were all surprised by it's smaller size. The game room was awesome, except there was no sand/wax for the shuffle board. The three star rating is due to many things that need to be updated/replaced. Some might be small, but they were annoying. We were expected to treat the house as our own, so these are the updates we would do to make it feel more comfortable and worth the money we paid. The sliding glass door blinds leading to the hot tub are old, bent and broken, and do not lower evenly. To get to the hot tub you either have to go through someone's bedroom or go outside to the back of the house and up some stairs, making sure not to get eaten by bears. The kitchen stove is old and horrible, the paint peels off when you are cleaning it and the burners take forever to heat. The throw pillows on the couch and chair are torn and feathers were constantly coming out. The accent chair in the living room is faux leather and is peeling to the point that there is almost no faux leather left. My granddaughter picked a peeled piece off the floor and put it in her mouth. YUK! The master bedroom door does not lock and the shower curtain in the master bath seems to be more for looks than practicality, as it is too small and doesn't reach wall to wall. Which made for a breezy shower. The downstairs door leading outside was broken. The door frame had nails sticking out of it and then the door blew open in the middle of the night and part of the frame came off. Very scary when we woke up at 3:30 in the morning and had to make sure no bears entered. These are all simple, inexpensive repairs/updates and we questioned why are these items like this? It seems this house is booked regularly, so they should definitely make these updates.

Overall this house accommodated our needs, however, there were a few mishaps with the property manager. First, she wrongly accused us of having more than 2 pets on the property due to a neighbor walking by ... Secondly, she sent us pictures of a side table that had been chewed on.... interesting enough that our pets didn't even go to the downstairs area because we closed that off since our pets are older and can't do stairs. Again, wrongly accused! She's obviously looking to make more money on her clients... I would have rented this home again if it weren't for this property manager. We frequently rent homes in Tahoe since we have season ski passes , and we have never dealt with such a rude property manager. I feel bad for the owners of this home. The game room was a ton of fun for our children. They really enjoyed playing after a long day of skiing. Unfortunately, the hot tub was not properly working either, so we didn't get to enjoy that part of our ski week.

I booked this listing for a weekend trip to Tahoe with my family and friends. The listing stated that this property was available for 10 ppl to sleep comfortably. We had a total of 10 guests during our stay and were disappointed to find out upon arrival that there were only 9 spots to sleep, though the listing stated the cabin fits 10 people. One of our guests had to sleep in the living room, severely impacting his rear over the weekend. Secondly, there was insufficient hot water for our 10 and the remaining water was extremely cold—even compared with the outside temperature. This impacted our comfort and our schedule, especially after coming back from skiing cold and exhausted, when people just wanted a hot shower.Lastly, at the end of the trip, the property manager falsely accused my group of having more than 10 ppl during our stay. Her proof was that our group used more than 30 towels during our 3 day stay, which is totally unreasonable since if all 10 ppl used a towel each day, that’s 30 towels. At the end of this experience, I was faced a HUGE charge worth of cleaning fee, on top of the fee that was already included in the booking. I don’t understand why the additional fee is so high, especially if this amount is already included in the booking. It seems the property manager is looking for any additional reason to charge us extra.

We had a great stay at this beautiful property. Rec room was so much Fun! Only thing was we were given a 12 pm check out a week in advance and the morning of check out at 10 am we were told we had to leave. A bit disappointing, but other than that everything was perfect!
2.5
The property was everything it promised and more. The rooms were well insulated for sound for a restful sleep for us all. We all enjoyed the spacious deck. The games and movies that were provided were a nice bonus. A security gate that can be easily put up or taken down for the stairs would have been helpful. We used a chair as a blockade for our toddlers.

Great location. Lovely surroundings, fun game room and well stocked kitchen and linens.

This was a substitute for the Hawaii trip we had planned for years. Despite smoky air for the first 2 days we had a great time in Tahoe. The house is unbelievably well stocked and was comfortable for 7 adults and 1 baby. Easy access to the Safeway in town. We didn't use the game room as intended but it was a quiet place for my son to have Zoom meetings for work. My suggestions would be: 1. Wait until you are there to plan to bring things for the kitchen unless it is something very unique. 2. Smash your garbage as small as possible to fit into the 2 cans in the bear box 3. Bring your own soap, shampoo, etc. and 4. Bring some anti-wasp spray for using the deck. We would gladly stay again!
