Friendly staff, comfortable room, really enjoyed our stay, thank you.

We got an email to advise us to book a table to eat in the restaurant, I rang to book one and told us kitchen was closed, shame nobody let us know, breakfast was pastry’s from Lidls , 99p for a pack of eight, breakfast looked quite sad 😔 nobody approached us to offer us any toast, small plate with a few slices of ham and cheese on it. Overall a little disappointed.

We chose this Hotel because of it was supposedly close to Brands Hatch race circuit ( 6.7 miles ) it is actually nearer to 15 miles. we found it very difficult to locate and no hot food was available for evening meal or breakfast.
All that was was missing was Basil Faulty.

The pub it self had lots of history and was very interesting to look around. The rooms were not what we were expecting for a superior room it was very basic, The shower door was loose and fell off its runners, the cushions on the bed were all ripped. The handle on the bathroom tap missing and all the trim around the bottom of the shower was coming of. Bathroom floor could of done with a good clean. We only stayed for one night of the 2 nights we booked and went elsewhere for the second night

Great value for money

Always stay here when working near London, usually free parking 20% off food and drink and a lovely free cooked breakfast.
This time it was a continental breakfast due to the kitchen been refurbished. I was vey disappointed.

Nice pub, decent breakfast included and comfy room

A nice hotel in a historic building. Free parking behind the hotel with easy access into the rear of the building.

Staff were very pleasant. Room was adequate but needs updating. Would have liked a blind at the window in the bathroom. There was no mattress protector on the bed. Breakfast was quite nice, included in the price 👍

Great short overnight stay for work. Lovely food, lovely breakfast plus residents get a 20% discount on food and drinks. Excellent value. Free parking, hotel in middle of the town so great access. Look forwards to next stay!

Lovely Quirky hotel, fantastic free breakfast freshly cooked and free parking.

Lovely place. Just the hallway leading onto our room smelt of stale smoke. I'm sure there's probably regular workmen who use the rooms as digs and probably do smoke in their rooms, no smell once in our own room. Lovely place and would stay again

This Biulding oozes history and charm. While it is clearly a little tired and basic on the accommodation, which is reflected in the price. The breakfast was exceptional and amazing value! (it was inclusive). All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Chloe stood out in particular, she was very enthusiastic and informative telling us about the history of the building and going that extra mile in customer service and attention to detail. PS pay the extra for the megga breakfast..... it was only £2 more.

On arrival the room was set up as a double but was soon rectified into a twin. Team were welcoming and friendly. Food was very good and plentiful bed were comfortable room was clean bathroom perhaps needed a little touchup but otherwise a very comfortable stay

Hotel was OK for a single overnight stay but was showing signs of a need for maintenance/refurbishment.. Staff were friendly and helpful

The room was nice and clean but the bathroom could do with a better clean, dust in the corners but we could live with that.

A very comfortable room and the Staff were so helpfull to ensure I had everything I needed including signposting me to parking areas.

Good Points - Friendliness of Staff, from Booking In to Cleaning Rooms and Serving Breakfast was 1st Class -
Shower Powerful and Hot with No Temperature Fluctuation.
Good Full Breakfast - Within Walking distance of various Restaurants and Take-aways. - Fairly Secure Parking -
Bad Points - None. - However, we were there during end of October 2023, and Dartford Town Council seem intent on destroying the Town with Road Closures and Delays everywhere - it was a 10 minute drive from Front of Hotel to their Car Park at Rear of Hotel.

The lovely lady at the reception was kind and accommodation our request. We always appreciate good effort and manners. The old pub hotel is really unique and beautiful .You can certainly breed history and atmosphere there. The only bad side is the area but nothing to do with this lovely pub.

It had a nice pub. The staff was more into the work in the puband in the hotelguests.
The room was nice, the only problem we had was when showered water ran down in the restaurant. Tasty breakfast.

Great for a weekend stay would come back only comment i would leave is about the shower heads they need to be replaced or de-scaled more often due to the hard water in the area.

Great location. Good food but terrible beer. But there is a Weatherspoons 10 mins walk away so you can deal with that.

We had a lovely stay, met all our needs. Room could do with a refurbish, but was clean and bed very comfortable.
Easy access into the hotel after 11pm too.

The hotel is situated on the high street, central to everything you need. We had air con in our room which was welcome. We ate in the hotel which was very nice and reasonably priced. The room was big and comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was lovey also.
I have to mention the cleaner we had because she was lovey and always asked us if we needed anything, she was very attentive.
The bar area is lively with plenty of seating available.
It wasnt cheap but was worth the money, lovely place, nice food, great staff. Will definitely visit again

We found two bottles left in our room one empty and another one with what looked like mouldy coke just left on the windowsill. The hallway to our room had ripped carpet which was also wet as the roof was leaking! The room itself was okay just noisy until around 11 o’clock at night due to the bar downstairs.

Very historical. One of the oldest buildings in town

Clean and tidy. Very friendly staff and good food, both evening meal and breakfast. Had poached eggs on toast cooked to order and they had nice runny yolks. Room a little tired but good value including breakfast and parking. Will stay again if I'm in the area. Just be aware that the car park is around the back, do not let your sat nav take you to the front door, you can't park there.

Clean rooms, good food, friendly staff.
Area around Dartford could do with a tidy up.

Parking is a real bonus. The number of steps makes it difficult to use a wheeled suitcase

Great inn with a nice pub downstairs, included full English breakfast is a huge plus as well

Overall good stay, room large and clean
Only complaint breakfast was cold and served on cold plates. Bit better on 2nd morning but only because we had complained the day before

The hotel was in urgent need of investment,
Room was poor, shower was bad and the taps were covered in limescale

Unclean, room was slanted and awful area

Great staff clean comfortable room. Unfortunately on this occasion, our breakfast was not to its normal standard. I’d still recommend staying here. Great value for money. And previously the breakfasts have been excellent.

Parking should be more sign post as we had to call the hotel for directions to car park
