Nice room and a great host but the proximity to a major road from the port meant sleeping was impossible! All night the room shook and vibrated from heavy goods vehicles, we got absolutely no sleep.

After a warm greeting from Tracee we were very happy with the quality of the room and amenities. Just a short walk into town for dinner (with recommendations from Tracee) where we had an excellent meal at Sisu. Would happily stay here again.

Tracee was a wonderful host and helped us with our travel plans. The room is nicely furnished and has nice views. God value and Picton is a charming town.

Facilities for an overnight stay were great, although limited to tea/coffee. Bed & bedding, lovely, everything really clean except edge around base of shower needed attention.

A perfect stay for ease of catching the ferry or having arrived on the ferry before embarking on travelling on the South
Island. We were greeted warmly & the room was well appointed. For us the beds were slightly hard but that’s a very personal opinion as will be perfect for others. Picton High Street was about 20mins walk away & there were good recommendations of local eateries in our room.

Excellent place, highly recommended

All we can say is that Tracee made us feel so at home, that words cannot describe our feelings. It was almost as if you were a family member stopping by.
If you stay at the right time in the summer, as were lucky enough to do, you can harvest your own plums/nashi pears, with Tracee's permission of course.
We were in the "pet friendly" room, but you would never know any animals had been there.
The small amount of messaging we did with Tracee was always responded to promptly and with understanding that things can change when you are traveling. Having said that, no one can be all things to all people at all times.
If you have an early ferry crossing, as we did, you are only 6 minutes from either check in. A big plus in our books that's for sure.
Needless to say, we would stay here at anytime, if our travels brought us back to NZ

Great attention to detail and comfort. Very comfortable bed indeed as it is firm and means you don’t have problems of your partner disturbing sleep. Tracer’s warm welcome is rare to experience these days from other managers at most establishments.

We love how friendly Tracee is and how welcoming she is with my Service Dog Molly.
There was a bit of confusion over payment as Expedia had already taken payment out of our account. However we managed to get it sorted.

Very friendly host. The sleepout room was very clean and tidy and the outdoor area was perfect for our small dog

We had a very comfortable night in the room put aside for travellers with dogs as it has a safe lockable area. Our dog was very happy to run around the garden.
Bathroom / shower was spotless with plenty of room.

Our host was very pleasant. We were surprised by the grounds as it did not accurately reflect the photo. The property was neat and tidy, but had definitely seen better days and was tired looking. It was at a very noisy intersection on SH 6. The area and surroundings seemed depressed.
Our room was clean and tidy with a very comfortable bed and heated mattress that we greatly appreciated because it was cold. The size of the room (#3) was better suited for a single person, but not for a couple with a more than 4 pieces of luggage. Nevertheless, the price was a great value and provided the rest we needed. The bathroom was remodeled, spacious and modern with a new shower enclosure.
We were surprised that with a microwave, refrigerator, cups, glasses, spoons, coffees & teas that there were no dish towels, dish clothes, or paper towels. We asked our host for a dish towel and she seemed surprised or a bit put off that we needed this. Was the expectation we use our bath towels to wash our utensils, cups, and glasses??
This guest house is great for a place to sleep, but don’t expect anything more. Be prepared to lug your luggage up steps without help.
