Good value

Stayed on a Saturday night for a gig at rock city (15 min walk away).
Room was a bit tired but was clean and comfortable.
For the money its a great place to stay for a night out in Nottingham.

Very Comfortable.

Hotel staff not very friendly, acted unprofessional and rude. Would not ever go back

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel and the staff are very friendly.

The cleaning could be better, the walls look like they haven't been painted for years and are dirty which gives it an abandoned look. The shower light was broken and the shower hose didn't work. The worst thing was the parking, they charge 10 euros for an area with unregulated spaces so it was very difficult to park here, there was even an abandoned car rotting in said parking lot. The reception closed at 6 pm and at 9:30 am it was still closed.

Lights didn't work in our first room. Went down to get another room, and half the switches didn't work.
There are food marks all over the walls - it's quite grotty

For me the hotel was about a 30 minute walk from the railway station. Check in was easy and I provided picture ID as requested. I spent most of the day out of the hotel but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The little kitchen area was a good addition. I read the reviews before booking and I too felt safe around the local area both late at night and early morning. For the price it was good value.

Able to hear adjacent rooms quite loudly.
Bannister to both bedrooms not firmly attached.
Chairs torn.
Shower was set up to have overhead and handheld options, but dial for overhead was missing.
Damaged bathroom tiles and exterior decking.
Lift smelt strongly of cannabis one time we used it.

Pictures makes it look a lot better than it is

Parking cost £10 which isn’t shown also hair found in new unmade bed as well as mattress and pillows being unfit for use as needed to fold duvet into 6 to get any degree of comfort
Noisy in and outside of hotel all night as well as floor in room not being hoovered as stones found on carpet

Promises a lot, delivers very little. Air-conditioning wasn’t working in the room, looks like the control unit has been vandalised. There was a gaping hole in the bedroom wall that had been stuffed full of toilet tissue. There were other marks and stains on the walls and a bedside shelf was missing apart from its bracket. There was very little water pressure for the shower, and a remarkably small basin in the bathroom. The reception area felt more like an Eastern European hostel. For some reason, staff insist on seeing photo ID at check-in, sorry going with the Eastern European theme. Floor numbers in the lift do not match room numbers. For example room 400 is on the third floor. There are no signs to explain this, you just have to find your own way There is limited parking on site, with ridiculous rules for when you can and cannot move your vehicle, outside on the street there is some parking, although there is broken glass from what looks like vehicle break-ins all over the place. Hotel is in a converted historic building. it could have been so much better, seems clear the owners put little thought into the business and how it has run. I have tried to add pictures but the app won’t function.

I would say the size of the room is very spacious. I like the added kitchenette feature, and the shower was lovely and big as well. The bed was also spacious and comfortable.the reception and check in wasnt welcoming whatsoever. The stairwell up to my room was dilapidated and dirty. The shower was broken in my room, with the second shower head attachment being missing altogether. The tap on the kitchen sink was loose, so was the toilet seat. The curtains were not blackout- meaning they didnt do anything to block out the sun when it came up. The temperature control panel by the door was broken, and the bedside reading lights didn't work. This cost me a total of £176, which is a ridiculous amount of money fot the quality of room and location. Admittedly, hotels were booked up due to it being moving in weekend for students, and I booked through a third party website. However, the point still stands that this was at most worth £50. These are easy fixes as well. By far my biggest complaint- was the elevator noise. My room was next to the elevator, so i expected some noise, however the elevator made a loud "ding dong" noise every time someone pressed the button on any floor. It sounded the same volume as a doorbell! Needless to say I did not have a good night sleep either night, being woken up by a doorbell noise almost every 5 minutes. Im almost certain you can get the noise turned off by an elevator technician

Tried changing £10 for parking 😤

Fantastic service from the guys at the Traveller's Regency. The room was very nice and had everything you need for your stay. I would use them again and highly recommend anyone to try staying there.

Awful experience at this hotel tried taking a £50 holding deposit ,, holes in wall and Marks all over ,, cracks in the balcony glass and tiles on the floor ,, only nice thing about this place was the other guest staying ,, webs all over the windows :( so disappointed

Really appreciate the cleanliness and quality of the bedroom. Staff are professional and amicable.
I was skeptical about the unit as the reviews are bad but I was wrong. It’s totally opposite of them and it’s superb for a couple or solo.

I would like a refund, it was dirty the shower was rubbish and no sitting area
3.5
Ok
3.5
No drinking water and no phones for service

Pros: Good price, convenient location well within walking distance of
Booking: fine, they take a £1 deposit if you pay by card which should be refunded after check out. They make it clear in an email on booking that this is the case.
Building and amenities: ok. Note narrow corridors and lift which may be less accessible for some.
Room: has all the basics dirty walls and ceiling.
A fresh paint job would have made a surprisingly large difference to my impression.

Had damp walls and not clean

There was only one key-card for the room, which is needed for power. This meant that when one person left there was either no electric or they needed to be let in. The doors are locked between midnight and 9am with the key-card needed to access the room. We stayed for 3 nights and housekeeping never came into the room. The room could benefit from being painted and some of the tiles in the bathroom need replaced. Overall though it was good value for money and close to Public transport links.

Comfortabe for a reasonable price

Horrible hotel, pathetic room, absolutely a disaster
3.5
The bedroom is very hot. The light in the bathroom is so silly. But the view is very nice.
3.5
The room had no AC and was clearly just a fresh coat of paint over an old terrible place. Not worth £250
3.5
Needs a big facelift. Old, and dirty.
3.5
terrible

The rooms are clean, but touches are missing, like a good shower.
Room was very, very hot and the fan didn't work. Stagf said they would get a new fan. They forgot to do this, so had to back to reception very late to get one.
3.5
Very impressed with the bedroom. Beautiful old building.

I felt that the property was not as clean as it should have been. The rooms were also old and grubby. Many of the renovated parts were falling apart e.g. carpet peeling away, dirty walls and light switches, toilet roll holder not securely anchored to the wall, lights next to the bed not working. The beds, although clean, were not comfortable and the pillows terrible. Bathroom was clean but water pressure quite poor. Overall, it was not a great experience and I will not be visiting there again
3.5
It had all amenities required but it’s a box room that need a good deep clean. Bed was okay but Bathroom wasn’t the cleanest
3.5
Needs updating badly, carpets frayed and paintwork chipped everywhere, photographs don't portray how it actually is
3.5
What really brought the rating down was the cleanliness. Not only did I see spiders around the room but i found a bug on the bed. Disappointed.
3.5
The fire alarm was covered with a plastic bag ! The door and curtains let lots of light in. At one point all I could smell was weed !
3.5
Brilliant more coffee and sugar and teabags needed
3.5
The shower head had a missing holder so had to manually hold it.
Water pressure was terrible.
Staff were friendly though.
3.5
There were stains on the ceiling and the walls were dirty and scuffed.
There was no handset in my room
The lift was not working so had to walk up 4 flights of stairs
The mattress was old and worn out.
Apert from that fine
