About this cottage rental
Updated December 25th, 2023 - We are now renting Cross Country Ski's. We have a variety of sizes, but its limited to start. If you let us know what you need in advance we can likely put something together and have it ready for you when you arrive at the cabin. If you are interested we can forward you the rental rates, We have kept it affordable by providing used skis at about half the standard rates.
Update - August 27th - Outdoor Shower is completed, Deck has been expanded. Fences are completed, and stained. Coming soon - Bean Bag Toss (Corn Hole) to compliment the Axe Throwing!
Update - May 1st, 2023 - Screened in Porch is complete! Also added a few Hammocks in the yard, tucked away in quiet spots. Great spot for a book and your favourite summer drink! Mine is Gin and Tonic, ( or maybe Wine, or beer if it’s hot out! - I have a few favourites!). along with a variety of books - In to thin Air is one of my most enjoyed. Horse Shoe Pits are coming next. Original description below.
We think it’s a pretty cool space. Please let us know what you think. We are renovating the whole property, so the yard space and some of the out buildings are still in need of much love. But this cottage has turned out very well, it sleeps 9 people, as well there is a second cabin that can also be rented at an additional cost, that would sleep an additional 8 for a total sleeping spots for 17 ! (See listing VRBO 2693556) We have a Rustic Cabin feel with modern amenities. The stone fireplace makes for a cozy living and dining room after a day of Cross Country Skiing or Ice Fishing. Three bedrooms that sleep 9 in total. We couldn’t find a way to list the details of the third bedroom as it has a twin bunk bed and a twin over double bunk bed, but descriptions can be found in the pictures The entire place has been renovated including a new kitchen.
The living room / dining area opens out to a two tier deck and hot tub through the garden doors. We are in the process of creating a screened room from part of the deck and will be ready late 2022, and therefore ready for the 2023 season.
The property sits on the edge of the restricted area of Victoria Beach as well as the Walking /Cross Country ski trail network. In the spring, summer, and fall you park your car at your cottage, and head out the back of the lot and enjoy the Trail system and benefits of the restricted area. In the winter you ski from your back steps to the groomed trail system.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. Being beach people, we were dissapointed to find out that the closest beach was about 2 kms away. We felt that the ad was misleading, it said it was near a beach and has many pictures that make it look like the beach is actually very close. The hot tub and outdoor shower were very cool!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The owner was great and answered any questions we had immediately. The property has everything we could have wanted and more for a truly amazing beach vacation in a beautiful beach location. We enjoyed our daily walks to the beach and the sunsets. We had a relaxing hot tub to soothe our muscles and relax at the end of the day as well as after our hike to Elk Island. The property was also super clean. There are many beautiful upgraded amenities and we only wish we had another week to enjoy them all!

We’ve stayed at this cabin for two years in a row now for our annual vacation. Nirvana is great to rent from and Glen is always friendly and professional.
This cabin is so relaxing to be at and it has great hammocks scattered around the property too. There was a pump issue briefly that affected the water for the place but Glen jumped on the issue right away and got it fixed right away. Had an excellent week!

Cottage was large enough for 2 families including 2 dogs, and was newly renovated. We enjoyed the sunroom in the back as well as the hot tub and cornhole and bocci games. The beach was maybe a 5 minute bike ride. The main living room area and kids room had an a/c unit. The other bedrooms had a ceiling fan. The

Great cabin clean and well supplied with almost everything you would need. The kids loved the bunk beds and had a great time overall. We also really enjoyed that we were able to drive right to the cabin and not having to haul all our stuff

I’ve rented many vacation rentals over the years, mostly in California, and I’d have to say this is the nicest. It is immaculately clean, has new, very comfortable bedding in every room, high end appliances, everything you need in the kitchen, a beautiful, clean hot tub, outdoor shower, screened in deck, games, great location just outside the restricted zone. And the host was very helpful and available. You won’t find a nicer rental cottage anywhere!

Met halfway my daughter and grand daughter from Calgary. Very nice place, Enjoyed the outdoor as much as the indoor. Nice hot tub with shower setting outside. Backyard with fire place and lots of space to play with the kids. There is a nice walk trail. Did not enjoyed it as much because of the moskitoes😁
There is a nice gazebo where we can have dinner or just sit down and relax. The beach which is not too far - have to take a taxi with kids and to bring our stuff for the day - is beautiful.
Inside the house, all the appliances are new and works well. I loved the decoration - little attention for the sole😁. The beds are very comfe! We all enjoyed the place. Thank you

The property was just as described, the yard was big and beautiful, as well as private, our dog loved it! The trail behind was very nice as well. The cabin was well stocked and tidy. We really enjoyed the hot tub. Thanks for the great stay!

We had a great stay in this cottage. It was very clean and the kitchen was supplied with everything we needed. The screened in veranda and hot tub were a bonus. The beds were very comfortable.

We were very happy with the visit and the Owner/caretaker was very supportive. We arrived to snowy conditions and all the nearby roads were still accessible with quick response for snow clearing. Positive experience all around.

Came out with 4 women (40’s) and the space was IDEAL! Sunny kitchen was a pleasure to cook in, hot tub was clean and relaxing, and the open floor plan made socializing easy while we were using the dining room, living room, and kitchen at the same time. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was clean, and owner was quick to reply to all queries before and during our booking! We will be back!

This was my wife and I's first getaway with just our son and dog, and it couldn't have been any better!
The space was beautiful, clean and fully stocked. We didn't need to contact the property manager for anything, as it was so well set up to begin with. The extra amenities (hot tub, fireplace, etc...) on top of it all made this the perfect little retreat for a couple days.
We loved it so much we are considering booking again and bringing the rest of our family along. Thanks so much for a wonderful getaway.

Lovely place to stay!
We arrived after dark, so we had just a little bit of trouble finding the right place, as it is set further back from the road than the cabins next to it, and we couldn’t see a driveway/parking area because it was all covered in a good layer of snow. It would’ve been easy to find if it had been cleared before we arrived. We all drive trucks, so parking wasn’t a problem, and it got cleared shortly after we arrived.
The cabin is very cozy, very clean, and sleeping accommodations very comfortable. It’s got a rustic feel, but nicely modernized as well. Hot tub was a hit! Did a little bit of hiking as well, even though it was quite cold, and the trails are beautiful and you can hike right from the back yard! Definitely enjoyed the fireplace when we got back! The kitchen is very cute, surprisingly spacious, and has all the appliances, dishes, utensils, and serving dishes we needed.
Glen was very accommodating with specific requests, and quick to respond when I sent a message. He even offered early check in and check out, which we greatly appreciated!
All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back!! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!!

The cabin was all I could’ve hoped for, hubby loved building a fire each morning and children loved the sleepover in the big beds. The walk in the snow laden woods kept me looking for Mr Tumnis ! It was an amazing getaway! Thank you for everything!!

We rented the cabin to have a family Christmas weekend. There were 7 of us. It was a beautiful cabin, would 100% rent again. Very clean, very nicely renovated. Hot tub in the winter is amazing. Highly recommend!

We went there with another couple, and it did not disappoint. The place was beautiful, and clean and exceeded our expectations. The hot tub was perfect and we loved the sunroom. The only complaint was the beds were a little too firm, but that might only be a preference.

This cabin was very clean and well maintained. The beds provided lots of sleeping space and the bathroom was very modern. The property owner was amazingly responsive to deal with as a renter and very friendly.
The location was great for getting into Victoria Beach since it's on the edge of the restricted zone so we were able to bike in and out multiple times a day with no issue. We were also minutes away from multiple beaches by bike.
Our cabin group really likes to do outdoor games and board games indoors in addition to visiting beaches and there was a great yard with some outdoor games already supplied and tons of table space for indoor games too. We also loved the hammocks on the property to read in when we wanted quiet time to catch up on our favorite books.
Overall excellent experience! We had few small suggestions and the owner was very open to the feedback and we could tell he cared deeply for providing a good rental experience. Thanks for renting to us!

The cabin was so much more than we expected! It was beautifully renovated, with high quality finished and lots of attention to detail. The kitchen and bathroom were well stocked - we felt like we were staying at a friends home! The beds were clean, comfy and had quality linens. We enjoyed the screened in porch and the hut tub everyday. Loved every minute of our stay and would highly recommend without reservation.

Our week long stay was great at the Old Oak cabin. We appreciated the cleanliness, had great sleeps as the beds were comfortable, and found the kitchen to be very well-stocked and organized. The hot tub was an added bonus for cooler days. Thanks to the mgmt team who accommodated with bike rentals as well!

Our stay was pleasant and comfortable. We made good use of the kitchen and screen porch! There was lots to explore in VB and also cosy to stay in and play.
We brought our own children’s stuff like packnplay, high chair etc. Hosts were easy to reach for any questions.

We had a great long weekend. The only negative I can say is we couldn’t leave the AC on in the other room at night for it has a loud sound.

The pictures don’t lie, the finishes inside the cabin area very nice and the cabin is very clean. The new screened in porch provides a beautiful spot to spend any part of the day in. The kitchen was fully loaded and had everything we need to cook all our meals. Plenty of board games left there for your use, if needed. Wifi worked good and so did the hot tub.
There was some construction happening around the property but no work/noise while we stayed. The property is close to two other residents but it was not an issue.
Wagons or bicycles are convenient so you can make the trip down to the pier or beach easily.

We had a great weekend, the cabin is very clean and beautifully decorated. It was obvious that the owners put a lot of effort into making it cosy and comfortable. The cabin is well stocked and we had everything we needed. The best part for us was the screened in deck, where we played games and had all our meals.

Our group of 6 rented two cottages on this property. Both were extremely clean and well appointed. The kitchens had modern appliances and were stocked with all of the amenities. The bed linens were high quality and the beds were extremely comfortable.
The large, screened in deck was a bonus as were the hot tub and firepit.
The owner was very responsive and easy to communicate with.
We had an excellent stay and would love to return next year.
