Excellent location in the heart of Ortigia. Very friendly and responsive staff. Good breakfast with plenty of offerings. Lovely terrace overlooking one of the busy streets. Parking is best done by valet at 30 Euros/day but works very well.

My favorite hotel on my whole trip through Sicily. Charming hotel in a perfect walkable location. So much to see, do and eat right outside the door. My room had 2 balconies, was spacious, so clean. Super comfortable bed and pillows. So quiet at night. Great breakfast buffet. Wonderful variety, great coffee. The staff at the front desk are so friendly and helpful. Nice hot shower too!

The hotel has a very good position in Ortigia. The room was well furnished, roomy and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I would be very happy to stay there again and thoroughly recommend this hotel. Travel tip: you cannot get to the hotel by car. There is a valet parking service which allows you to drop off in Piazza Archimede, about 20m from the hotel. The alternative is a public car park some distance away.

We absolutely loved this small hotel. It’s perfectly placed in Ortigia for everything. It has beautiful rooms. We had a large terrace overlooking the sea and views of Etna. The bed was super comfy with lovely soft sheets. The room was clean and the shower worked well. Nothing to complain about. The staff were especially helpful in every way. The breakfast was typically Italian with nice cakes and croissants fruit and ham and cheese etc.

Beautiful hotel, right in the center of Ortigia! So close to the sights and restaurants, as well as 5-10 minute walk to the ocean views. Everyone we interacted with from the hotel was so helpful, and the room we got on the top floor was very comfortable with a balcony that was perfect to watch sunsets! We also had a rental car and they helped make that stress-free with the valet service option they arranged as well. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely 4 night stay in hotel Gilisto, room was delightfully quirky, first time we have had a full size pool table in our room. Breakfast was substantial and yummy. Hotel right in the heart of the action in Ortega. Don’t hesitate to book.

The location was fantastic, in the heart of Ortigia with a secure front door and someone at the front desk 24 hours. The breakfast was fantastic, the rooms a great size and very comfortable but what really made this property stand out was the customer service - so friendly and helpful, would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Beautifully restored and renovated boutique hotel in the heart of Ortigia. Our room was spacious with separate living area and balconies overlooking the streets. The reception and hospitality staff were very friendly and helpful. Large choice of Restaurants nearby. 20 euro taxi from railway station. Excellent !

We loved our stay! The staff and owner were so helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and our room was clean and comfortable. It was in a great area of the city and we could walk to everything we wanted to see. We had a sea facing room and it was nice to sit out on the balcony in the evening. We would stay again!

When they say ‘people’ make the difference this hotel is a perfect example! Extra friendly team made our stay in Ortigia great. Receptionists and breakfast buffet team were excellent! Rooms were very clean too! Only downside: the bar next to the hotel is lively until late, other than that, all super! Grazie mille ragazze

In Syracusa - - Ortigia, a lovely small hotel with a warm friendly staff, so helpful, that makes a fun place even better. Right in the midst of the main backstreet - walking corridor, you can exit the Pallazo and go to the Duomo, Arethusa's oasis, and the Diana fountain... All within steps. Delightful visit in every way.

My boyfriend and I had the most wonderful 3-night stay at Palazzo Gilistro in June. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the room was fab and house keeping did such a beautiful job every day. Breakfast was delicious. Palazzo Gilistro is in the perfect central location, just a few minutes walk from the Cathedral of Syracuse with an abudance of restaurants, shops and bars all in walking distance. Despite it being in the centre of town, our room was up high above the hustle and bustle and was lovely and quiet for bed time! If we had one suggestion, It would be to make better use of the great communal roof terrace - a bar up there would be perfect! We will definitely recommend Palazzo Gilistro to our friends and family and would love to return one day!

Our favorite hotel of our entire trip throughout Sicily. Great location, wonderful room, very nice breakfast and the most friendly and helpful front desk team. They went above and beyond in making us feel welcome and making suggestions for places to visit and things to do during our stay. WiFi and air conditioning were really good as well. A great location in the centre of Ortigia. We had a suite of rooms with balconies looking out onto the streets below. Breakfast was great, a good selection of cold meats, cheese, fruits, patries, yoghurts etc. We spent three nights here in early November and couldn't fault it.

We had a room with a rooftop balcony that was very large with a beautiful view. Breakfast was very good and staff very friendly. Parking is offsite so if a lot of luggage it can be a challenge.

This was the best breakfast for variety on our tour of Sicily. The b&b was situated right in the middle of Ortigia, and convenient for everything. In addition, I was suffering from a toothache, and the lady on the desk went out of her way to call around and find a dentist.
