We loved our stay here! The unit was very clean and cozy. The bed and chairs were super comfortable and the AC unit worked incredibly well keeping us cool on hot days. The kitchenette - though small - had everything we needed during our stay. Our unit did not have a dishwasher like the other units so we did have to hand wash anything we used. There were a few lights that weren’t functional in the bathroom so it was a bit dark in there when getting ready. The shower also has poor water pressure so we had to mainly use the outdoor shower for getting all the sand and sunscreen residue off. The outdoor and indoor fireplaces were an added bonus - we loved sitting by them! There was a vacuum in the unit but it did not work so we had a hard time keeping sand off the ground - I wish there was a broom in the unit so we could keep the floors clean. The driveway was a little tight with the other guests present but definitely doable if you have a smaller vehicle. The house is in a great location and within walking distance to many great restaurants. The beach is a bit far to walk when you have a bunch of stuff to carry so we found ourselves driving every day to park at the beach. I didn’t hear any noise from other units the entire week I was there and we had no issues with the TV or streaming. I also loved how they provided first aid kits, tide pods, coffee for the keurig, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, and other supplies so we did not have to buy any during our stay. The next time we are in OBX, we would definitely stay here again. Thank you for having us!

My boyfriend and I loved the area and the house! This location was great for restaurants and evening outings! Everything was great and the Vacasa owners were always there to help with anything we needed!

The unit itself is super cute! It was clean and the bed and pillows were super comfy. Shower is spacious and water was hot! The only downside to the unit itself is that there are no curtains (windows face east), so it’s pretty bright in the mornings and you can hear the upstairs neighbors walking at times.
My issue was not with the unit itself, but with Vacasa. When I checked in on Friday and tried to use the fire pit, it wouldn't work. I reached out to Vacasa, who responded quickly, which was nice, but it took multiple messages for action to be taken.
I was told that a ticket was created for local staff to further assist. I followed up on Saturday and Sunday, as no one ever reached out or contacted me, but was only met with "I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused" and told that "local staff have been updated” every time I reached out. I was also told twice that a firepit was “not listed as an amenity for this property,” when in fact it is, and there are photos of it on the listing. I had to follow up numerous times for someone to finally come to fix a simple issue (ie change the propane tank). I don’t think they ever would’ve resolved the issue if I hadn’t been persistent. It makes me wonder how responsive/reactive they would be if there were a more pressing issue (ie no hot water, issue with refrigerator, etc)

We booked this place for a short weekend trip. It was perfect a very clean, close to all the restaurants and perfect for two people.

Rented this for elderly parents for their 60 th anniversary. Accessibility was important. This met their needs perfectly. They really loved it. Everything was nice and clean. They loved the decor. Location was great. Easy access. Only complaints were no hand rail in shower and bed was a little high and hard to get on and off easily. Otherwise great. Great value. Hope to stay there ourselves in the future.

We were pleased with location and room. Located across from Mama Kwans, room was a good size.

Definitely a cozy place to stay for 2. Located in a decent area near plenty of restaurants and beach access. Will definitely come back.

Myself and a friend booked this cute VRBO for a girls weekend, unfortunately, we were not able to attend because of the Tropical Storm Ophelia that was impacting the area and us travelling safely. As many of you know, the roads to the Outer Banks and the Outer Banks itself are very prone to flooding. Multiple highways in the region were closed limiting the ability to both get to the Outer Banks and leave in an emergency. I reached out the week of the trip with the predicted weather trying to make plans to reschedule/cancel/see what my options were. Unfortunately, Vacasa's management did not see the weather as a concern to allow us an opportunity to reschedule.
I provided tropical storm warnings, school cancelling, beach hazard warnings, called VRBO directly but still not allowed to reschedule. Moving forward I won't be booking a stay through Vacasa, and recommending others to not as well.

We loved the room and it was even better than what we expected! We loved the huge comfy bed and the cozy rockers! The kitchenette was great! And the access to laundry was super helpful! We loved going for walks/runs through the Nags Head Woods Ecological Preserve.
The only thing was the shower curtain kept falling down.

Starting with checkin, we couldn’t get into the room. The code we were given was incorrect. 30 minutes later, we finally had a code that worked and got into the room. The room itself was very cute and cozy, but the cleanliness was extremely questionable. Black mold in the shower, mildew, a USED BANDAIDE in the shower, stains on the bedding (so much so we washed it before going to sleep). No trash bags provided, yet they want you to take all the trash out. For a company claiming such high cleaning standard, it was extremely disappointing. Location is convenient, 20 minute walk to beach access and even less to restaurants. Overall, 3/5 stars, but for the price and the level of cleanliness with no response on anything to rectify the situation, I am unlikely to ever book here or with Vacasa hosted homes again.

This place was EXACTLY what we were looking for for an intimate weekend getaway for two. Even though the room wasn’t huge, it was set up perfectly with a lounging area, sleeping area and kitchenette that made it feel spacious. It was very comfortable, nicely decorated to make you feel at home and clean. Both the closet and bathroom are also spacious, which is helpful because you can store away your suitcases out of site so it feels even more like home. We would definitely go back. The only criticisms we had were that our code didn’t work when we arrived after a long drive so we had to call to get a new one - also, the laundry wasn’t accessible.
