Welcome to your family-friendly waterfront vacation rental, with everything you need for the ultimate lakeside retreat! Nestled onto 100 feet of pristine Pine River Pond shoreline in a secluded cove, this newly renovated house is perfect for kayaking, canoeing, fishing, hiking, water skiing, swimming, grilling, or just chilling out by the water. With a comfortably furnished patio and deck, private dock, and beautiful sunrise and sunset views right from home, you may not get far - but when you want to explore, Wolfeboro is around 16 miles away and offers lots of restaurants, shopping, and sightseeing. The lakes region also abounds in hiking trails, farmer’s markets, festivals, and activities happening on any given summer weekend.
At home, start the day with coffee on your deck, listening to the loons on the water - you may even be lucky enough to see them in the cove. Inside, you’ll find a cozy cabin vibe, with hardwood floors, pine-paneled walls, and an open layout. The full, well-equipped kitchen makes meal prep easy, and you can grab a bite together at the dining room table. Even better - step outside and dine alfresco on the deck. After a day of exploring, relax at home in the central AC. Entertainment options include books, board games, free high-speed WiFi, an iPod docking station, a DVD player, and large movie library. End the evening back outside by the lake, roasting marshmallows around the fire pit, with wood thoughtfully provided. Lake life awaits - all that’s left to do is book!

We have been staying at this property for years and love it! Cleaning was a bit spotty, but still worth the stay!

The lake was gorgeous and the views from the deck were amazing.

The cottage is lovely on the inside, not very well kept on the outside. The picnic table was too dirty to eat on and we had to broom down the front of the cottage and the deck, scour the table and clean the bbq before we could use them. The lake water is lovely to swim around n but there is no ladder access and n or out. The shared dick situatiin means that your time down at the water is in no way private. When there were guests in the cottage next door the waterfront was far from peaceful.

This is a great lake house with modern facilities. The house is clean and well stocked. The beds are comfortable and I loved not having to lug linens back and forth. The lake and views are stunning. It’s quiet and relaxing there. The lake itself is clean and clear. We brought our kayaks and paddle boards and left them at the dock for our stay while not in use. I loved listening to the loons also. If you have small children, I recommend bringing flotation type devices as there isn’t a gradual walk into the water. We hardly left the property except to dine out occasionally because we didn’t want to leave this beautiful spot.

I rented this as a getaway for my wife who has been under tremendous stress. We were hit by a guy who ran a red light & fled the scene as we got off ferry. My wife melted down & wanted to go home. Reached out next morning, related events & asked if they would consider a partial refund-3 second got a response that we should have paid more for insurance. So they got almost full payment for nothing. I think the lack of even considering the request is most abhorrent. I understand “policy” & profits, but it would have been a human gesture to refund anything. Will totally avoid in the future & suggest others be careful.

Beautiful view, small town feel, great scenery while walking around and pretty private. You're not alone, but people either kept to themselves or were friendly. The place itself is a nice mix of rustic and modern. You get the cabin feel, but with wifi and cable. I most definitely would go again.

House is placed perfectly with beautiful views. Unfortunately if the weather isn’t cooperative there is nothing to do locally. We drove 35 minutes to Lake Winnepesaukee one day which was cool. The next day we drove an hour to North Conway for the day. We quickly realized we should have just stayed at either lake Winne or north Conway. We could still stay on a lake and if weather was bad we would have plenty of other things to do all around us. The house wasn’t super clean. The sofas are old, pleather is wearing off, and they’re incredibly uncomfortable as there was not much cushion left. Heavy dust and cobwebs throughout. Dirt and stain on broken blinds. Cabin give a dark and dank vibe verses bright an airy (so much wood on every surface). Upstairs carpets are extremely dirty. Beds covered in stained linens that don’t fit and seem like someone’s hand me downs. Heavy heavy dust on fan cages over the beds. Towels were extremely small and felt like sandpaper. Listing stated a blow dryer would be available, there was no blow dryer. Fishbowl effect at night as there was not blinds on all the windows. Outdoor furniture is old and not cleaned. Only a little stairway into the water if you don’t want to jump off the dock. Family’s with little ones don’t have a beach area or shallow water to let your babe play in. The house could be amazing, however I feel the hosts rely solely on views and waterfront location for ratings. It was an underwhelming experience.

Worried on Sunday that the boat traffic was going to be heavy but come Monday it was calm and totally peaceful. Lots of loons calling. Beautiful sunrise.

This cabin is lovely for one or for a romantic escape. I arrived in pre-Memorial Day May when the pond was quiet and I saw very few folks nearby. The cabin is nicely modernized, with a great kitchen setup for cooking, a new bathroom and plenty of heat and air conditioning. The view of the pond is perfect from inside and from the lovely deck. The washer/dryer are clean and new (just duck down to the lower level - easy). Great "couchage" (the linear feet of comfortable couch space -- a key criteria my family uses when selecting a place to rend). A canoe would have made my visit perfect - I'll do that next time! The Internet service was sufficient for streaming and my other needs. The steps to the sleeping areas is very steep, so not good for anyone unsteady on their feet. Cell signal is not great. The Vacasa staff was very helpful when I needed them -- fast and responsive. The other cabin mentioned in another review is up the bank, but far enough away for privacy. Renting both cabins would be great for a family reunion. It is easy to get to Wolfeboro and Ossipee. Not far off the main drag through Wakefield. Things to wish for:
** a hook or two on the back if the bathroom door for hanging dressing gown etc.
** fix of the shower valve (thing you turn to adjust shower temperature) so the shower temperature is more reliable -- Vacasa came out and adjusted the shower but the valve really needs replacement -- someone from Vacasa should attempt to take a shower :)

The house was in a great location. Other houses are all around it, so it is not as secluded as advertised. Perfect for our group (5 adults, 1 child, 1 dog). Had issue with it not being cleaned before we came, so that was a huge disappointment, but overall a good choice.

Cabin is very nice, perched charmingly right on top of the shore. Hosting experience seems designed more around longer term vacations than short weekend trips, but easily changeable if hosts desire. Directions/guide/instructions on Vacasa need some serious work. For future reference, the dirt road leads to two houses- the one directly at end is not the correct house. The rental property is the smaller driveway that is cut to the right.

The scenery out the front windows was wonderful. This house is right on the lake.

What a wonderful week! Perfect size for our family and perfect location for what we wanted—lakefront relaxation, water fun on a clean, clear lake and close by to hiking, restaurants and North Conway adventure! We would have never known about the beauty of Pine River Pond had we not stayed here. Will be watching for available property in this area!! Loved it. Thank you.

This home on Pine River Pond was absolutely phenomenal! We had access to a boat dock for our bass boat and kayaks which was perfect. The home is incredibly clean and well appointed with good sized bedrooms, a wonderful living area, gas grill and a lovely deck. While we brought water toys, chairs, linens, games, etc. we did not need to, this home has everything! Excellent heating/cooling system and wifi - a perfect vacation place!

Cabin was great. Very clean and generally well appointed. It was helpful to have A/C, despite our week being relatively temperate. It would be nice to have some kayaks or a stand up paddleboard for guests, but no real complaints. Dock and front deck are mostly shaded throughout the day - so not a lot of opportunity to sunbathe. The location behind some islands helps provide a safe place for the kids to swim or sit in tubes, which was really great. And our oldest caught several fish from the dock throughout the week. Our host was also responsive to our questions. Thanks all.

My wife and I stayed here with our two dogs for the week for an anniversary get away. It had an amazing view of the lake and had everything we needed. Only about 20 minutes away from stores and restaurants and we were pleasantly surprised by how clean it was upon check in. Would definitely come here again.

Everything about this place was amazing. The pictures of the pond do not do it justice. The cabin was immaculate. We had incredible weather and caught many bass right off the dock. There are some neighbors close by but it was really quiet. I can't recommend this place enough.

Absolutely beautiful view of the lake. Secluded and peaceful. A perfect getaway.

Well-appointed in every way. Dish washer did not work. And unfortunately a mouse ran across the flower the first night there!
But overall still an excellent choice for us. Had a refreshing swim. Loved sitting in the water!

My friends and I had a fishing trip and we LOVED this property. Immediately walking out to the back deck, it was known it would be a great weekend. The view is beautiful and it was a fun pond to explore and fish. Easy access with a dock to fish/boat. Rented a boat locally to cruise around. House is minimal (beds/couches) but we didn't spend much time inside...mainly on the deck and on the water. Would 10/10 recommend.

The cabin is stocked and very clean, lovely view across the lake. Beautifully furnished, the lake itself was perfect for swimming. Not too many restaurants or grocery stores in the area so best if you are looking to unplug and hang out at the cabin.

We had a lot of fun being right on the lake. The shallow and sandy waterfront right in front of the house is perfect for kids. The house was also the perfect size/space for the four of us.

Great property, nicely shaded. We'll equipped house, with full kitchen and wifi and several TV's (that we didn't need with the great views of the lake). It would be nice if kayaks were provided, but we were able to rent some nearby.

Property is situated in between 2 others and directly in the water. Cottage is rustic but clean and well prepared for guests. There is not much in the way if privacy but the lake is beautiful. 25 minutes to some great hiking. Overall a comfortable stay.

We had a wonderful stay in this Wakefield cabin. It was very private with a beautiful lakeside view. We drove a lot of the backroads to view the fall foliage. Spent time in Portsmouth and North Conway. Lots of great shops and restaurants there. The weather was wet for the first 2 days so we never hiked. The cabin was well furnished with the essentials. Heard the loons and owls. We read that the fishing was great and a kayak in nicer weather would be sweet!

Quiet neighbors during the week, clean property and house. Well equipped, with nice deck and great views of lake. Our only complaint is the Nest thermostat was odd to use, and A/C blower fan is loud. But, we had A/C on the hot nights, so not too much of a complaint! Great stay, highly recommended.

We had a great week, house was clean well stock with supplies needed. Lake is great for fishing, swimming and boating. Plan to go back next year.

My wife and I and our Labrador Retriever stayed for the 2019 July Forth week. The home is very comfortable and located right on the water’s edge with easy access to a sandy beach area and clear water lake. The house was super clean when we arrived and we felt comfortable as soon as we walked in. The week we stayed was very hot so perfect for enjoying the lake by day then relaxing at night with the central AC running and watching Netflix on one of the large screen TV’s. We spent most of the week fishing and exploring the lake by kayak. One thing that really caught our attention is how light the boat traffic is on the lake. We were sitting on the deck on the 4th of July ~3:00pm and all we could see were two pontoon boats. We’re pretty avid fishermen/women and the bass fishing on this lake is some of the best we’ve seen. The location is perfect with lots of dinning, hiking and shopping options close by. For the past ~8 years we have rented lake front homes once or twice a summer in locations in Maine & NH and this one is our favorite. We have never booked the same place twice but we’re already looking forward to returning to this property on Pine River Pond next summer.

This cabin is just as advertised...clean, quiet, and with a lakeside view. My kids loved the couches and TV'S and the adults appreciated the comfortable beds and clean/cozy linens. I brought my own linens but went with what was provided since everything was well prepared. This is a great place to relax and enjoy the view!

We had a great time at this well-kept cabin on Pine River Pond. It was our first visit and we immediately felt comfortable and at home. Very clean and well-laid out. I don't believe you could be any closer to the water. When sitting on the deck, it feels as if you are out over the pond. It was also very quiet which was probably partially due to the time of year we were there. Although there are a few neighboring cabins, no one was at home. All in all a very peaceful few days in a cozy cabin on a lovely pond. Just perfect!

I spent the last two weeks of September here with my husband and another couple, and it couldn't have been better. The lake may get busy in summer but in late September it was extremely quiet during the week, and there were only a moderate number of boats and water-skiers on weekends. An eagle hangs out on a tree in the island, just across from the cottage. There are nearly unlimited options for hiking in the region if you're willing to drive a bit, and we had outstanding meals at the Wakefield Inn, the Restaurant at Province Lake, Yankee Smokehouse, and Hobbs Tavern. The cottage is beautifully furnished, and clean, and better supplied than any house I've ever rented. The lake is perfectly clean and very good for swimming. The best part was being able to bring my yellow lab. I highly recommend this place!

My wife and I and our dog had an amazing week on the lake at this property. The house is a great combination of cozy and modern with newer kitchen appliances and a new bathroom. Comfortable king-size bed with plenty of pillows.

We all liked the cottage: plenty of room for four adults and one child, well equipped kitchen, two living rooms with a television in each, aiery bedrooms with comfortable beds and a deck with expansive views of the pond. Quiet surroundings with easy access from the main road. Well supplied local markets and scenery everywhere.

I loved every minute of our stay. The cabin was pretty, comfortable and clean. The setting was amazing. The pond is crystal clear and so much wildlife. I highly recommend this vacation home.

We are repeat renters of this cottage, and we've never been disappointed. It's small, but very well appointed and up to date. My wife and I have two kiddos, ages 13 and 16, so there's enough space for sleeping and then living downstairs. When you are on the lake, you'll be outside all day anyway! We also bring our boat, and Pine River Pond is clean and great for skiing, boarding, and tubing. We look forward to the week at this house every summer, and I'm already thinking about next year! :)
