Summary:
CURATED PROPERTY PRESENTS: This modern new-build is ideal for large groups and families looking for a spacious property in the tranquil Bath countryside. Set across two floors, each bedroom is equipped with comfortable beds whilst the large open plan living/dining/kitchen area is a perfect space for socialising as a family or group. Window views and light are a common theme throughout, most notably the panoramic windows in the living area providing stunning south-facing views.
The Space:
Uniquley set across two floors, the entrance leads to on the first floor where you will find the kitchen/living area, bedrooms 1,2 & 3 as well as a small private office and cloakroom.
The open plan kitchen/living area to the south creates a sociable space for the group, be it enjoying a large home cooked meal or socialising in the evenings. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking meals during your stay and has ample hip-height storage cupboards as well as a large island/breakfast bar. The living area features a large U-shape sofa and flat screen TV, and the dining table can be extended to accommodate 12 should you invite guests for a dinner party. The large glass sliding doors extend out onto a balcony area attached to the living room where you can enjoy views to the east of the famous Solsbury Hill. In the evening you can also close of all of the electric blinds in the living area and create a cosy blackout room and retire away to the sofa after a long day of walking and watch a film.
Bedrooms 1 & 2 are tucked away at the back of the property and are each equipped with comfortable king size beds and have en suite bathrooms attached, whilst bedroom 3 is a twin room with two single beds. Head downstairs and you will find bedroom 4 which is a king room and bedroom 5 which also has twin singles, as well as the main shared bathroom with a large bathtub/shower and his and hers sinks.
Outside there is a grassed garden area surrounding the building where children and pets can play supervised. There is parking for multiple cars and the property can be locked off using the gate.
Guest Access:
You have exclusive access to the whole propertyand there are a couple of sets of keys to let you come and go as you please. You will be greeted on the day by our lovely housekeeper Mary, who lives a few minutes drive away.
The Neighborhood:
The property is located a 10 minute drive up the hill from Bath in a neighbourhood called Charlcombe, benefitting from the tranquility the countryside has to offer.
Getting Around:
A car is recommended during your stay so you can enjoy the most of the area. The city centre is a short drive away where you can park and enjoy the variety of shops, restaurants, bars, restaurants and tourist attractions on offer. There are various nice walks directly from the front door allowing you access to enjoy the surrounding fields and hills.

We had a lovely stay at Dearholme for the weekend of my wedding. The bridal party stayed at this property and the grooms party stayed up the road at the Ridge - it was a perfect setup and the location couldn't have been more idyllic.
The housekeepers - Clive and Mary - were absolutely brilliant during the stay. Clive met us on arrival (early check in was possible with no extra charge which MASSIVELY helped) and walked us through everything. There were issues with the water supply in the local area during the weekend (which as you can imagine is quite stressful the day before and of your wedding!). We initially thought it was an issue with the property but Mary was quick to respond near midnight to try and support.
The property itself was exactly what we needed and the light was perfect for make up and hair. There is a bit of an ant problem but it's clear they are trying to rectify this. The property is in need of a little TLC in areas (shower downstairs was cold, some fixtures are looking worn, and marks on walls etc) but this wouldn't detract us from staying again.
Would highly recommend this property for a big group looking for proximity to the city, but also with countryside walks on your doorstep.

We were a group of 10 friends who wanted a city getaway. We stayed at Dearholme for a weekend and we couldn’t be happier about the experience! This property has a great location, being super close to Bath, but still far enough to feel quiet and isolated. The house is modern, with a great view, comfortable, and it’s supplied with everything we needed. Mary left the house nice and warm for our check in and was kind enough to let us do a late check out. I definitely recommend staying at Dearholme :)
