The New River Retreat was so cute and convenient for a stay to visit family while in Jacksonville. I highly recommend it!

We came to Jacksonville for our two granddaughter's birthday celebration. This location was perfect for us, it was easy to get to, and it had everything that we needed and more. Loved the recommendations that were left for local restaurants! The location is ready for families or a couple looking to get away for a couple of days! We will be back!!!

This stay away from home was the most magical experience I’ve had in awhile. The house was gorgeous and spacious for me and finance and the views from every window were happy and inviting. The house itself had all the necessary amenities and was very comfortable. It was only me and my fiancé and we stayed for 3 nights but I will definitely plan to come here again if we are back in town. It’s near camp lejunee about 20 minute drive and also 20 minutes to the airport and the best beach. Lots of great breakfast joints 5 minutes away and awesome spots for shopping as well. Thank you so much!

New River Retreat was a sweet space for our family of 4. It was clean and so family friendly. Our 8 year old loved the basketball hoops and the gaming system. We all enjoyed the board games. The small details were my favorite, it made it a great space to wake up and get ready for our day and to come back in the evening to enjoy winding down our day together. I loved how open it was, but also had space upstairs if someone wanted time alone. It was a super easy drive to beautiful North Topsail Beach. The hosts were so accommodating and had information all in one area of the house.

We had a great trip and would not hesitate to rent this condo again. The hosts communicate quickly and are extremely thoughtful!! The home is clean and filled with little "extras" that you may forget or to just feel comfortable.... comfortable beds, bedding, natural soaps, sprays, cleansers, TONS of games, well stocked kitchen .. The location is perfect, whether shopping, exploring, or using the beach!!

We were in town for a few days for a family event. I loved that we were able to bring our pups and that there were dog bowls provided for them.
The attention to small details made by the owners made it such that we didn't need to buy alot of the things that we've had to in other rentals.
The owners were quick to respond to any questions or we had.

My wife and I were in Jacksonville for a Marine Corp reunion. A perfect place to reach everything. Easily found. The check in with coded door was awesome. I would recommend this listing.

We had such a great time making memories here! It is such a beautiful home. The grandkids loved all the toys and games they have. The firepit and outside games were a plus. It was so nice being able to seat on balcony and have my cup of coffee in the mornin. We would definitely stay again.

Our stay was perfect!
The house was very cute and layed out very well. Stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed a walk around the neighborhood and over to the board walk in the park and was located close by to MCT to bring our new Marine.

For small to medium sized families, this is a great pick. Although the place is close to other properties, the location is great just across the street from the water. The hosts make sure there is plenty to do inside the place by providing board games, gaming consoles, TVs with Roku, and lots of toys for kids.

Chad was great about communicating with us and giving us suggestions about what to do in the area. I would recommend for anyone looking for a great little place in Jacksonville.

We had a great time staying here, the property was perfect for us. Everything was very comfortable, the beds were good and the layout of the house worked well for us, my 14 year old niece could go upstairs to call her friends in the evening while we could be downstairs watching a movie and no one bothered each other.
The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, there was a Keurig, a toaster, a toaster oven, and a waffle maker, besides the normal stove/oven. Anytime we thought we might need something, looking around a bit proved it was already there, a great example would be measuring cups and spoons, so we didn't have to guess how much milk to put in the mac and cheese!
The neighborhood was great, the river is just across the street and looks so pretty, but there were also two parks within walking distance, and I was able to walk the trails there with my dogs every morning. The area hardly has any traffic since the house is on a no outlet street.
It was too hot the week we were there, but there was a great area outside for a bonfire if you did have a nice chilly evening for it.
Only half an hour from Topsail Island, or about 40 minutes to Emerald Isle, so we went to the beach a few times. Also enjoyed the restaurants in town, and being from up north we'd never been to Bojangles or Cook Out before and we loved them! Be sure to try Daryl's Bakery and Sweets just about five minutes away, their glazed croissants are amazing!
We'd definitely love to stay again!

This was a good central location for a nice visit to the area while visiting a locally stationed Marine. The unit was set up well for visiting with a child and the host was friendly and easy to work with.
