The pub, restaurant and patio are the highlights of the place. The room was a disappointment and over priced.

Our host met us and showed us the room. The room was small but nice and clean located on the second floor. It was a warm day so the room was warm and we slept with the window open.

Outstanding detail and concern especially for my food allergy
Aidan and Kevin are as hospitable as you can get. Also best blow dryer I’ve had in a hotel or bnb in Ireland

This is a lovely traditional country inn in a beautiful area. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed because the staff is just fantastic! We arrived late on a busy Saturday evening and were taken care of immediately. We chose to eat in the pub where Annika, Alan and Sam went above and beyond to look after us. The food is great, the room was great, the staff was great times ten. I sincerely hope to be able to stay there again.

Mark made us feel very welcome. Mark suggested we take the backroads to visit Wicklow Mountains and his suggestion was fantastic. The food and service was superb. Thank You John & Zara

Staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. Food in the pub was fantastic (seafood chowder & bread, summer risotto), and the atmosphere was just what you’d want and expect in an Irish pub. Room was lovely, great bed and pillows so slept very well, room very clean. Lots of car parking space, and the village very lovely.

Really cool place. Clean room with nice amenities. No breakfast but coffee, tea and cookies. Also great bakery right next door. Restaurant was closed on Monday but had a great meal on patio. Great bar as well.

Friendly staff and helpful. Huge room, nice decor, large comfy bed. You can go to the restaurant during the day and night but have to pop out (2min) walk for breakfast

Our stay at the Horse & the Hound was one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland. The food served in the restaurant was exceptional, and the room was clean, comfortable, & quiet. We especially appreciated Alan at the pub who made us feel welcome the moment we arrived. He recommended wonderful area sites and cafes and invited us to hear live Irish music in the pub the first night we were there.
Because of his attention & care, the best days of our travels around Ireland were there in Wicklow County hiking in the beautiful countryside & talking with friendly locals wherever we went. We will visit again, and when we do, we’ll definitely stay at the Horse & Hound.

Nice spacious room with en-suite . The room was very comfortable and clean and was well maintained. It is a pity that breakfast is not available as it was a nuisance having to leave for food. Otherwise a very nice stay.

Great spot for an overnight stay! Ben the Bartender went out of his way to help us from checkin to grabbing bags to food and beer! Great experience with the room being massive for us which was great and one of our best pub stays yet in Ireland!!

I really enjoyed our stay here, the room was clean and very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant in the hotel and our meal was fantastic, the staff were so friendly and helpful and we enjoyed chatting with Mark who helped us choose from the menu etc. The front bar had a traditional music night and the bar was full, the craic was mighty. The village is beautiful and we stopped off for a drink in the Wicklow Arms which is also a lovely place. I definitely intend to stay here again, it's so handy to Dublin city yet so rural and pretty. Highly recommended S.

Hidden Gem, cosy little hotel. With great attention to detail. Great service. The room I stayed in was quite small so book a larger room for couples.

The room pictured that we thought we were getting was nothing like the one we got. Ours was so small. We were very uncomfortable. No room for our luggage, not enough plugs, not enough counter space. Bathroom was the smallest I’ve ever encountered.
