Only problem we had was only having to pay for valet parking and was not told in advance

We had a wonderful overnight in Myrtle Beach at the Homewood Suites. The room was clean, comfortable, and kitchen was fully equipped. The breakfast was included and offered a variety of delicious foods. I highly recommend this hotel.

The property is great, but the beds are terrible. They need to update the mattress’s extremely hard to sleep.

Really nice hotel and in a great location but the valet parking can be kind of rough. During check in or check out time it can be busy so just expect to be patient because they do work hard and they stay courteous.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The restaurants food is delicious as well as the breakfast. The staff was friendly and really polite. Homewood suites is clean, beds are comfortable and it was really peacefully during both of my recent trips.

Only valet parking available created a problem for us!

This hotel was not near the quality as it was 2 years ago when we stayed there. The breakfast was not as good. The TVs did not work properly and the room was only ok.

Front desk was polite, but not friendly. Never saw the same person at the front desk twice and we were there for four days. When we had questions for the front desk, some of the personnel acted like it was inconvenient for us to approach and ask them a question. Let me be clear, it was the majority of the workers, but not all of the workers. Breakfast area food was OK but what was upsetting was to see workers standing around & not cleaning like spilt waffle mix or turning the machine over when it was beeping constantly because someone didn’t flip over when done do I to did it. There were other little things such as that. When we checked into our room, the carpet in front of the bathroom was soaked wet and a baseboard tile was broke off on floor, called to the front desk and they moved us to a different room. It was better. There’s definitely some small things that happen to the room, but it doesn’t seem like maintenance is called when there are problems. The room we were moved to, the sink candle broke off in my hand, and we had to have maintenance come up and fix our sink. When we use the hot tub, it was obvious that one of the hot tubs was very low in water and when we asked if they could add water to it, they stated that it’d been low, but they’re closing it in a half an hour, so we’ll take care of it then. Very sad that they take care of it after the guests are gone instead of in a way where the guest could use it properly.

We stayed here for 1 night. Overall we found the hotel to be nice. We had friends staying as well. We had same type room but noticed a couple of differences. It was a king bed suite. They had a dresser in the living room area where we did not. They also had 4 chairs at their table, we had 2. Our son used the pill out sofa bed and it was not very comfortable for a 12 year old boy. (He normally never complains). Room was very spacious and our bed was very comfortable. Great view of the ocean. We walked out late during low tide and got many shells. Watering station to clean feet.was not working. (Not sure this is a hotel issue or the city). Pool area looked nice, but we didn't have time to do it. Breakfast was good. We got there at the end so some selections were limited, but it was good for a free meal. Location is great. We were able to talk to some and take car to others. The only area we had complaints was with parking. Valet service only; so schedule time for this. Usually 15-30 minute wait. Everyone working there we encountered was friendly. We would stay there again.

Picked the wrong time to stay. Breakfast was a waiting line each morning. Waited over 30 minutes to get my car from valet parking. I won’t be staying here again.

Thought it would be a bit more upscale based on photos. Was ok though. Would not stay there again

This was my first time here. Everything from checking in to checking out was excellent! My family and I will return. Thank you everyone!

Super confusing on how to check in. We had to ask valet where to check in, which the lobby is on the 3rd floor it was so confusing. Valet was $25 a day which is insane. Especially if you come and go a lot, and don’t want someone else in your car. If you didn’t valet you have to pay $3 an hour for parking at a meter. Area is on the south end of town, it’s a little ghetto. Wouldn’t take my kids here. Homeless people were seen and if you don’t get an ocean view your view is of a ghetto grocery and cash title store. Not appealing for the price and an ocean vacation. I would never stay here again. Staff was nice, not their fault. Location and logistics are terrible. Worth maybe $65 a night not $150.

Very much enjoyed or stay. Beds are the most comfortable we’ve ever had. Love staying there. Not to thrilled with paying $30 a day to park in their parking garage and on top of that its valet. Wasn’t having anything to do with that. Told the guy I park my own car and her allowed me. Will look to other hotels. Parking was a big turn off. Breakfast was great.

Hotel is fine for what it is if you just want a place to stay at the beach. We booked last minute and I knew the reviews weren’t great but the only other few options on a holiday weekend were a hard nope. Negative reviews that point are dirtiness are accurate. There was no table in the room, despite being advertised. Patio area was covered in cigarette ash and broken glass. Carpet in room also covered in sand and crumbs. Sheets had stains. Dead roaches were in sofa bed when we pulled it out. I had to ask multiple times for fresh sheets and it wasn’t until our 2nd day that they were finally sent up and the manager offered to have our room cleaned after I expressed my disappointment. Room was still not clean when we came back a few hours later. My kids loved the water slides so that was fun and most of the staff was friendly. Would not stay here again based on cleanliness and the fact that the price you pay here can get you a brand spanking new 5 star hotel right down the road.

Great views of beach & of July 4th fireworks! Staff were all very helpful. Myrtle Beach has really upgraded its venues since last time I was there, and my teens loved it!

The property is located by the boardwalk, which is very convenient. It is obviously on the beach and again that is great. The hotel itself though is past it’s heyday. It feels tired and could use a refresher. There was a bad smell coming from the bathroom and even though we kept the windows open, it did not help. The rooms are cleaned every other day but towards the end of the stay, the rooms were not cleaned. We only got new towels. We were charged an additional 200 dollars for god knows what when we checked out. Had I known that, I would have booked elsewhere. Overall, for the amount of moneys paid, I would not go back.

We stayed for 4 days with kids. Staff were nice and friendly. Too much hidden costs like valet parking, resort fees that I wasn’t aware of.

Great location and beach access. Staff was helpful and room was a good size. Good mattresses. However they do not provide beach towels.

It really is nothing like what I imagined. There is no parking and you have to pay 25 a day! I don't think I will return.

Customer service was terrible. We arrived early at the property after driving 8 hours and asked for a a room a bit earlier, the hotel charges 50 for early arrivals but this isn’t stipulated anywhere. They also removed the free self parking only allows valet parking for 25 a night. The staff did very little to make me feel welcome when arrived, didn’t even offer the free water bottles they are supposed to offer guests at check-in. During the stay I asked for housekeeping to vacuum and never showed up. The pool smelled fine the first day but by the second day it smelled nothing short of butth*le to be frank. I’ve come to this property for years and enjoyed my stay but this time around it was terrible between the poor customer service and the condition of the pool and their new fees for literally everything, value not worth the price. Try somewhere else.

You can tell that this hotel was probably fabulous in its heyday. The breakfast buffet was hot and decent. But the cleanliness of the room was not good. We found a helium balloon floating on the ceiling. And a vape on the couch. Some of the stuff was really friendly. Others were not.

Our stay at this hotel was mostly positive. The location of the hotel is convenient to the boardwalk and shopping nearby. There are several dining options within walking distance, and shopping/fast food options just 5-10 minutes up the beach. The studio room with kitchenette was nice for our family of 5 and gave us enough space to spread out. The pool area is nice for times when you can't or don't want to be at the beach. Parking was a bit of a headache. The only option they offer is valet parking for $25/night. They move the cars to a parking garage about 2 blocks away. They do not allow guests to access the garage directly, so you have to pay the $25/night. Wait times to get your vehicle when you wanted to go somewhere were sometimes 30 minutes during peak times. The driveway to the property gets congested, so sometimes there was a wait to get in when returning as well. The staff was friendly and there is a process to request your car via phone or text, so that helped some. But the cost is annoying, and not included in the $15/day resort fee they already charge you. So if you bring a vehicle, you are really paying $40/day in fees on top of the room rate and taxes. Lastly, we didn't have the best experience with housekeeping. They just never seemed to make it to our room before we returned for the day. But they did respond quickly to requests for towels, etc. Would stay again, but may check other options with better parking!

The hotel was amazing! Beautiful views. The only thing I wish was different was that the pool would stay open later the slide closed at nine and the pool closed at 10, which is not the best when you have young kids who just want to swim.
8.0 / 10.0
Only complaint is the elevators. Sometimes have to wait 10 or more minutes for one to be available, and there are 3.
2.0 / 10.0
Disappointing stay. The room was dirty, and housekeeping was inconsistent and minimal. Breakfast was repetitive and boring. There was nothing to do around the hotel. For the high price, I expected much more. Not recommended.

Loved the indoor water slide, lazy river and pool. Love the walkway in between the property and beach. It takes you straight to the boardwalk. Only down side was the elevators were always congested because one was down. And you must utilize valet parking to have your car parked.

Overall great experience they can do a little better with the valet parking
5.0 / 10.0
The trip was amazing! My kids love this hotel for comfy room, super cleaned, many pools and big lazy river. Great price with included breakfast buffet and closed to downtown. Only our concern about the Wallet parking that took a bit long to get our car.
