Amazing stay! Everything in perfect condition

Incredible place to stay - friendly check in, privacy, stunning location for viewing the Northern Lights two nights in a row. Large house, good amenities.

One of the best rental properties - perfect place for a quiet vacation.

This is THE place to be quiet! With spectacular view surrounding the properties. Very pretty, comfortable. Bring food before settling in, you wont want to get out and anyway, there is nothing around. I recommend.

Lovely!

The property is more beautiful than advertised and the caretakers waited up for us, bypassing the check in time of 10pm. We were in the highlands and had no reception and I had messages from them asking where we were and if we were okay. When I did get reception, she informed me that check in time had passed but would make the exception and once we arrived, she took us to the home, opened it for us and gave us a tour. We regret not being able to spend more time because this was our favorite place on our whole vacation. It was serene, impeccable, and the landscape was breathtaking.

Beautiful scenery with an amazing view! Conveniently located between Selfoss and Vik!

These cottages are beautiful. I wish my group couldve stayed longer, but we were simply using it as a stopping point on our trip around Iceland's ring road. The setting is tranquil and the modern design and amenities are phenomenal. We really enjoyed the wood fired hot tub and the sauna after long days of hiking.

Beautiful location. Very peaceful in nature. The staff were excellent.

Phenomenal location that allows a great view. The house is very modern and spacious and the hosts are very helpful and friendly.
Kitchen could be better equipped. We were 6 people so we could only eat once and then had to wash up.

The place was ok for one night. It’s in the middle of nowhere, and the roads are gravel. The property seemed to have some water damage on some walls in the hallway. The sauna was very nice but the hot tub outside was pretty useless unless you want to spend at least 4 hrs heating it up by constantly throwing the wood in. Wish we could use it but we ran out of time. Overall, it’s a nice quiet place for a night or two but it looked better in the pictures and I expected more for the price.

Literally one of my top 3 favorite places I've stayed anywhere. Such a beautiful property, with stunning views. Can't wait to go back!

Great spot. Wonderful views, comfortable beds. Sauna was great, everything we needed. Hot tub did not get hot after 4 hours, and constant attention, just to cold out to get there with the set up. Everything else was great.

This was a spectacular stay. The rooms were very comfortable with space for luggage and clothes. The living room and kitchen were spacious and comfortable with all the amenities needed. The heated floors in the bathrooms were also a lovely surprise. The hot tub does take a while to turn on, so something to be prepared for, but enjoyable nonetheless. Would definitely come back here!

Absolutely gorgeous property and location. You feel like you’ve walked into a Travel Channel special! Beautiful living and dining space, kitchen, outdoor dining space, bedrooms, laundry, WC, sauna and wood fired hot tub. All impeccable!

The stay was very good, although we did struggle to get the fire going for the hot tub. Suggest to provide more kind of kindling to help fire going easier. The rest of the stay was amazing. Cabin was perfectly equiped.

Hrifunes Nature Park is special for many reasons. For starters, the house we stayed in was modern, clean and beautiful. It was a perfect and peaceful place to stay in hopes of catching the Northern Lights. Additionally, the host who runs Hrifunes was truly the kindest person we encountered on our trip. We arrived late and he was waiting in the cold to help make sure we found the house okay and then walked us through to show us everything so we felt settled and secure. Additionally, we had run into some car issues before staying here and the host helped us repair our window the next day. He was incredibly fun and kind and our stay at Hrifunes Nature Park was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Iceland. Incredible.

Just like the pictures. We didn’t get to try the outdoor tube but love the sauna room.

We fully enjoyed our stay and Trygve, the property manager, was extremely helpful. However, one important advice: it is better to book on Expedia since Trygve did not receive any of the messages that I sent on Vrbo and it was a big pain for me to get into touch with him to confirm the reservation. But once I was able to do that, everything was super easy. Trygve sent me detailed instructions right away and met me in the office for check-in. He showed me how to start the wood-burning hot tub, which was a lot of fun to work on, and offered extra help during our stay. We like the modern kitchen and sauna is easy to use. Would highly recommend.

Some of the most gwrogous views we saw in Iceland. The property is very remote and peaceful, yet it felt very safe and comfortable. The house has amazing amenities sushi as a private sauna and hot tub, full kitchen and large living room. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing place. 360 views of most wonderful scenery including glacier. Well designed rooms with big build in wardrobes. Fabulous leaving room with an open kitchen. Sauna and hot tab is an added bonus. Very welcoming host.

It was outstanding! Just dont forget the hot tub 4h before you want to use it. And refile with wood every 20min

Modern home with all the amenities, outdoor wood burning hot tub (does take more than 3hrs to heat up the water), indoor sauna & full kitchen. We wish we were staying more than one day!

This place with the best view around the area, the house is modern, however, the bathroom is so small and outdated, and what's worse, when we arrived and ready to take a shower after a long day, there is no shampoo and body wash, so we call the property manager, he told us "this is a home, not a hotel" , so we don't have those. We couldn't believe it, we paid almost $500 for the stay and ended up using hand soap to take a shower, that was a joke. Seriously? So there is no shampoo and body wash in your home? The road to the house is very bumpy, and it takes at least 30 minutes to nearest town, so that's why we ended up with showering with hand soap. The living room is great, but most of the furniture are from Ikea, with such high price property, the house should have better furniture and better material, they used laminate countertop instead of quartz or wood. The hot tub is great, but it took 4-5 hours wood burning before you can enjoy it. And you only have Icelandic TV in room, no Youtube/ Netflix and no smart TV either, the house we stayed use a very outdated TV. So to be fair, the View of the house worth 5 star for sure, but the rest just ok, and what makes us very unhappy is that we have to take shower without shampoo and body wash with a not reasonable excuse.

Beautiful, well equipped unique property with views of the glacier. So peaceful.

The place was amazing. Very friendly check in and the views were indescribable. Had a wonderful time!
2.5
This place is utterly amazing. Incredible views, stylish property with all you need to have a stay in a remote landscape. Sitting in the hot tub at night when it’s minus 8 and rushing there from the sauna is one of the most memorable experience in Iceland. Can’t recommend this place enough if you want to feel alone in nature. You definitely need a 4x4 car to get there though in winter as it really is in the middle of nowhere.
2.5
Excellent property! Host was incredibly nice and had fantastic communication. Everything we needed was there.
2.5
Very spacious and comfortable and clean. The views are to-die-for! We hope to return one day and stay longer.

Perfect location with the best view. In our group of four there were three from Iceland and we all agreed that we had never seen anything like this before. Couldn’t recommend it any more. Good location for exploring the beautiful surroundings. Thank you for having us!
2.5
The house is beautiful and has everything you need to have a great time. It is secluded, and has the most amazing view.
