Very cute old lodge with a lot of character. Our room was spacious as was the pool and hot tub area. A lot of the outdoor area is under construction right now so that took away a little charm but I'm sure it will be great when it's done. Our bed was comfortable but the pillows were chunky and terrible, our only complaint of the stay. Only a 10 min walk to the village!

Wen enjoyed the free bicycle rental, and Shirley Canyon Trails. The Bluesday Tuesday was also a reason we visited. We love the Granite Chief area, just sad he lost his “squaw.”

I really liked it for our family. The kitchenette was fully stocked with utensils. 2 rooms with TVs so everyone could be happy. Plus my husband goes to bed earlier then the kids and I so he was able to have a bed and go to bed earlier without us keeping him up playing games and watching tv. The only 2 things that would have made it better are AC and they’re doing construction so it will be nicer once finished but in project mode right now.

Our one bedroom condo was clean and neat and well taken care of. We visited during a very Time at Tahoe and the unit does not have air-conditioning. Two fans were provided, which helped in bringing cool air in at night, but it was difficult to cool down the bedroom because the window opened on the walkway outside the door. it was a very nice perk that they offered free use of their specialized mountain bikes to ride. A lot of construction was going on around the pool areas and roofing while we were there. The staff were very helpful and very friendly. We would certainly consider coming back and using the property another time.

Our room, wasn't cleaned, when we returned, for our 2nd night stay. :-(

It was an awesome place to stay, overall you are tucked away in in mountains.

Can’t beat staying at Palisades! Once we arrived and parked we never had to use car again. Great hiking and biking right there!

It’s an old property with old stuff and old smell. Their cleaning service was not scheduled for the days we were there as they would clean each floor on specific days of the week!

This property is showing its age. It's historical, but not particularly comfortable to the modern traveler. We booked for three adults (sharing our condo with a friend) but no where in the room description there was a warning that in order to exit the condo someone had to go through our bedroom. Awkward at best. The weekend ended up to be particularly warm: no air conditioning available. We were told to keep windows and doors open between the front and the back of the condo, however, sharing the property with someone else and wanting to have/give privacy that arrangement was not an option.
Staff very helpful. Grounds very nice. Might book egain IF we are not sharing the condo with anyone.

Very charming hotel. Stayed for Western States. No AC in room but box fans are provided and room was comfortable.

The willingness to address issues was very good. The unit was very clean. The issues we had were the TV not connecting and when finally working wouldn’t turn off when going to bed, the telephone wasn’t working, the refrigerator wasn’t cooling and we kept playing with it, put ice in bowls to make it like a cooler for our food and after my husband fussed around with it, he got it working at least for our second day, instructions for coffee maker wasn’t very clear, a type I have never seen before, so we YouTubed the model and figured it out. We called about these things and they were good and kind about trying to help. They couldn’t come until the next day for some things, so we figured out things for ourselves. The tv guy was great. There was no air conditioning. We were aware of this from an email they sent out about the property a few days before arriving. It was hotter than we expected on travel days. That is not their fault, just something you might want to know before going. We decided we like air conditioning available when we travel. The buildings are old and need a lot of repairs on the outside. They are re-roofing now but need to fix up other things. The configuration of the unit was odd making you walk into the bedroom then walk through the bathroom to get to the front room. This was used previously as dorms for the Olympics. Most likely 2 rooms connecting to a shared bath. We talked to the manager about issues and when I rented an enbike they did not charge me, nice!

It was good only thing it got a little hot but at the end it was all good

The property is under renovation. There is roofing work, grounds work, and jacuzzi replacement going on. There was a tractor jackhammer operating adjacent to my room all day and the sounds of roofers nail guns. My room smelled like mold and the only peace and relaxation came after 5 PM when the contractors stopped work. I was told the work would continue all summer.

We really liked the layout. There was a Jack and Jill bathroom between the living room (with queen pullout couch) and bedroom so we had a door to shut on each side for privacy. I liked the balconies. The kitchen was well equipped. The staff was very friendly. We loved the free bike rentals and nearby hiking trails. The only downside is there is a lot of construction on the property this summer. It got more and more difficult to get to the pool and use the amenities. There is also no restaurant or market onsite but it is a close walk to the shops and restaurants in the rest of Olympic Village.

Overall the stay was great and the booking as advertised. One issue I did run into was less than stellar communication. I was sent a message by the inn thru Expedia asking me to call for check in instructions. When I tried to call the answer provided it went to an answering service. When I didn’t receive a call back by the afternoon I called again, and again was sent to an answering service. The agent at the answering service would not listen and was constantly interrupting or talking over me. It wasn’t until I replied to the message via Expedia that I got a call back and was able to obtain check in instructions. When I called later that evening to let the front desk know we’d be there later than 11 I was told I’d have to call back when I arrived for a code to get the key to our room. Overall communication was very challenging prior to arrival and made everything much more involved than I would have hoped. Once we were checked in the stay went very smoothly.
The location was great and the room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Even with the bumpy start I’d likely stay again.

Had a great spring skiing week at Palisades Tahoe. The property has some age but mostly maintained well. Our small one bedroom timeshare condo is tight with an odd layout: access from the public balcony hallway at the bedroom side. Two sharing one bed can get by but any need to use the sofa bed would leave no elbow/leg room. The same can be said of the outdoor hot tubs but the vibe was generally cheery with the good spring weather. The staff are helpful and low key.

The people that work here are so nice and accommodating. Great location. Cute place.

Great shuttle service to the base area. Didn't need to use our car at all during our weekend stay.

An old school resort. It is great. Be aware that the layout can be awkward with the bedroom as you walk in. Then the bathroom. And then the living-room/kitchen/pullout bed. Our kids slept in the kitchen which made it hard to use but it is surprisingly well stocked to cook on a stovetop.

Unit was updated with a bigger fridge and bathroom vanity and the bed was comfortable but not motion transfer reduction. Free shuttle to and from the hill is a 3 min drive so you only wait maybe 5-7 mins for the shuttle. Tuesday afternoon cider was delicious and the prizes were a nice touch as well. Highly recommend this hotel.

Good value for money in this area. The kitchenette was well equipped for such a small unit, everything was clean, hot water was hot. The walk down to the village was easy (in normal footwear), and the shuttle (for when you are in ski boots) ran every 10 min.

The beds and sheets were terrible.

A gem! Spacious, comfy condo with all the needed extras (hot tub, clubhouse, free shuttle to the lifts). The decor is a bit dated but that’s part of the charm and history. The staff’s attention to detail and the cleanliness is superb. Highly recommend!

Great space, very comfortable and ideally located.

Nicely maintained. Friendly reception. Kitchenette nicely equipped. Sink and WC/shower btw sitting area w sleeper sofa and bedroom allows some privacy. Care shown w details such as plenty of hooks for jackets, bathrobes etc. Small outside balcony. Many units have a view. There's a spot to work or socialize in reception w coffee in am. Grounds are pretty.
Pool that's relatively large and !heated! In the winter. In the winter: One jacuzzi that in OUR opinion fits ca. 7ppl, plus 2 more that fit up to 4 each (if you know ea other). Two outdoor grills and a lounge room w kitchen and WC and game room.
Only negative is that walls are thin. Neighbor's conversations, children, ski boots are loud. (Therefore a 4 out of 5 in comfort)
Continuous Shuttle to easily get to lifts. Or Walk over to food at Olympic village.
