property is located in the center of all of the shops and restaurants so it was impossible to open windows at night due to the noise. apartment was large and definitely got great use of the kitchen but there was no proper covers on beds and just decorative pillows in one of the bedrooms. Our apartment was on 3rd floor there is no elevator in the building. I contacted the property for towels and wifi password never received a response.

We rented 2 apartments. This place needs work on cleanliness and basic amenities. It was challenging to find the host for the keys to the apartments upon arrival in the early evening on our first night stay. Standing on the street of downtown Brussels in the dark and cold with all our luggage with no one to greet us, was not pleasant. To further our frustration, the phone number listed on hotels.com was not correct, and the combination into the garage door breezeway leading to the apartments did not work as the “0” on the keyboard sticks. Finally, a local business man of a restaurant next door helped us make contact with the host. We were grateful for this man’s help! Once the manager (a friend of the owner) did arrive with the keys to the apartments. he left us with the incorrect keys to unlock one of the apartments and no host contact information despite the fact that we asked for contact information. In hindsight, we believe it was intended for us to be in the top apartment, not Apt #2, as the key left with us was for Apt #3. Furthermore, the apartments lacked basic amenities, particularly for the bathrooms, such as bath towels, soap and TP! The freezer was filthy! It was great though to be right in the heart of Brussels. Our group truly enjoyed the location. But these were NOT “luxury” apartments as advertised. Basic amenities (toilet paper, paper towels, bath soap, shampoo) as well improved house cleaning would have helped to make our stay more comfortable.

The location of this apartment is great however gaining access can be slightly difficult, the entrance is as grotty as the floor of a chicken coop and the stairs upon stairs upon stairs to finally get to the flat is darn difficult at midnight after many a mulled wine. The greeting was lovely, fast and easy but unfortunately the pictures didn’t completely resemble the actual state of the apartment. One bed had unclean sheets on it from the previous occupant. The pillows are there but tiny, unfortunately not lumpy free and so flat you may as well just sleep with none. The duvet is thin and there are no extra blankets to keep you warm. I did request some with our clean sheets but twas nil blankets for us. The bathroom has a shower fit for a child and no screen so water will go everywhere. It’s actually a bath so please do note this. We had one toilet roll, 3/4 used. No other amenities. On the plus side, it was a newish bathroom, just needed a more thorough clean. New cleaner??? Kitchen was a little disappointing. No bin bags. Beer explosion in the freezer and a coffee machine that hopefully will be thrown out. Won’t lie, we were a little upset that the quality didn’t reflect the photos but the host was quick to bring new sheets when we called. Suggestions. Bring all your own amenities, towels, toilet paper even, to be safe. Take a packed lunch for the copious stairs to hike up, make friends with the amazing guys at the restaurant next door. Location is still great.

Take care, 20 minutes before you will get the real address. Dont go to the Rue Gretry 54 which is listed on your reservation. The apartment was quite OK, and in the middle of the centre. However the TV didnt work which was not a serious concern as I was out, working and emailing, so too busy to watch TV. Also no explanation about the WiFi, but I used my 4G. The apartment was well furnished.

Before reservation I called to Expedia and I emphasized the adviser “what is floor the property?” The advisor said me ground floor but have 45 stairs until the property. My parents are old and it was very difficult for them to step. WiFi was a problem throughout our stay. We called several times but it didn't work out

This apartment is in a great location if you enjoy the night life and want to be in walking distance to all the sights. Since it’s near all the restaurants and pubs you can expect people being loud until the morning, 0500, but with the windows closed you can nearly hear them.
