Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Das Essen war sehr gut und die Zimmer sind einfach toll. Der Blick auf den See traumhaft.
Die Anfahrt zum Gästehaus ist schwierig

The staff did their best to make one’s stay as pleasant as possible. If you want an authentic basic nature experience this is the place to go.
Everything about this place seems to be a misrepresentation. This place is best suited -maybe- for backpackers. We used a driver recommended by the property who clearly didn’t know his way and had to ask directions multiple times to get there.
The room was dark and uninviting. The bed was covered with a mosquito net that was too short to cover the bed and had at least 1 hole in it.
The “restaurant” offerings were limited and predominantly continental/western with few Ghanaian/African options.
We felt so uncomfortable that, despite paying for 3 nights, we left the next morning.

Very well located right on the lake. Lawn well kept, friendly staff. Boat rental possible.
The last 60 minutes to reach the guest house are needed for a road / path in very bad condition. High ground clearance of the car needed (which we had). Can not be reached in all weather. Neighbors play music much too loud, which takes away some of the beauty of the idyllic place under coconut palms. Absentee owner should invest in client relations.

Service was friendly.
It's very hard to each the place if you don't have a four-wheel drive. We endet up doing the 45 min. trip on the back of a motorbike which wasn't the safest thing ever. Our room was big but it smelled damp and moldy. Furnishing was very simple.

Nice view of the lake
Extremely poorly maintained.

We stayed 2 nights at the Cocoa Village guesthouse at Lake Bosomtwe.
Very nice stay in a relaxed atmosphere, the whole team were always very friendly and helpful. And the dogs are great!
Food and drinks in the restaurant were good with a stunning view on the lake and the fisherman in the morning.
Recommend the nice and cozy guesthouse when visiting Lake Bosomtwe

the setting is nice
this place is difficult to get to! the road is ridiculous.
staff is very off and very slow! we didn’t feel welcome!
it could be nice as the setting is lovely but it is basic with no aircon.

Lovely property on the lakes of shire, staff are friendly & welcoming, as was the owner who was around for part of my stay. Food was great and the room was perfect!
It is more on the expensive side, so it would have been nice if Wifi could have been included (given it was also only available in the communal areas).

the staff was very nice and helpfull. their boss was the opposite, he was arrogant and rather strange.
false information! when me and my wife arrived they put us in a very small bungalow from maybe 10 m2 while I booked one from 50m2. on booking.com all bungalows are 40 or 50 m2. After talking with the owner they put us in their family bungalow which was fine. the next day I would talk with the owner but that never happened. on monday when we left we got a extra bill for the family bungalow which we didn’t pay! the owner called and told us if we don’t pay he would call the police!🤣 We started to laugh about this and at the end the owner told us, ok we leave it like this! But there was a extra bill of overpriced diner, WiFi ect. This bill we paid but its obvious that there a lot of (hidden) costs so beware of that! if you make a reservation they will take off your money inmediately and no change for refund! the place itself is ok but the chairs are old and dirty and there is clearly a lack of maintenance. The owner is only interested in money! And again: the staff was very helpfull and nice. its just the owner who delegates a lot of extra hidden costs. Diner and accomodation is overpriced. On booking.com all bungalows 40 or 50 m2 which is not true! iIts a lie

Amazing location and surprisingly fantastic food. The staff was super nice.
There was no wifi and no mobile data with Vodafone, either. However, the host offered us a hubspot, as apparently there was mobile data with MTN. Also, the road there can be tricky for some cars.

Lovely place and good food. It’s a place to relax and to do nothing.
Rooms are not very fancy, but that’s part of the charm.

Very beautiful, yet remote location directly at the shores of the Lake Bosumtwi, which was formed after the impact of a meteorite about 1 million years ago. It is quite rustic but made with care and love. The food and drinks were great, cooked fresh with local ingredients. The terrace of the restaurant was cozy and comfortable. Also delicious breakfast, especially the pancakes 😋. If you want it quiet and authentic, this is a beautiful place to go.
There is a lot of wildlife, especially wall geckos that may enter your room. Moreover there was no AC or warm water. The staff were super friendly and helped out with warm water from a bucket. Something else that needs to be mentioned, but that is of no doing of the guesthouse, is the awfully bumpy and muddy road to get there. 4x4 is recommended

Amazingly quiet and peaceful place to spend some days in nature. The staff was super friendly and always there to help and nice to have some conversations with.
The beginning of the unhardend road to the accommodation is a bit tough if you don’t have a 4 wheel drive, but the place is worth taking the risk!

We loved the location, the peace, the food, the activities, the staff, the service... absolutely everything. We greatly enjoyed the level of privacy we had due to the fact that we were the only other guests for those two days... so that was a great blessing. The grounds were taken care of very well... I saw no pollution and the plants and lawn were very well maintenance. The swimming was fantastic as was the boating.
1. The "Two Bedroom Bungalow" includes two beds but there are no separate rooms with doors. Consider this if more privacy is needed among your guests.. you may need to book separate bungalows.
2. I recommend that guests bring water shoes with traction at the bottom. The rocks were very slippery and they hurt the feet very much when first entering the water.
