The room was cold. The heat in the room was not working properly. Water pressure in show started strong and weakened. Hot water is shower was luke warm at 7:00 am

This hotel does NOT have an EV charger. Not only do they not have access to one, they don’t even know where one might be! After a bit of research, they suggested I (a single parent with two small kids on a 28• night) park my car a 10 minute walk away and drag my kids through an unknown neighborhood on a freezing night. There were no apologies for the false advertising on the EV charger, even though I was clear that that was the only reason I was staying there.
The hotel is beautiful, though our bathroom could have used a deep clean, but the stay was weird. There was a shirtless guy just lounging in the lobby. Quite a juxtaposition with the pretty atmosphere, and a different gentleman sat in our hallway until late at night FaceTiming on his phone.
Also, our room was HOT. I set the thermostat to 62, but woke up multiple times at night feeling like I couldn’t breathe because the room would not cool down.

Great location close to the Metro blue line. Wonderful staff. Comfortable lobby line with books. Only one negative: the “historic hotel preservation fee” is high and seems rather arbitrarily set by the hotel itself.

There are so many amazing hotels in DC that we’ve stayed at. This one was good but not one to write home about. It is close to Georgetown.

very accessible to metro, nice neighborhood, convenient catholic church next door, there was a billing discrepancy but hotel took care of it. when you stay inside the loop, the nightly retails at all DC hotels are high (inclusive of melrose) but you do save some at melrose. place is recommended

Did a staycation for my birthday. It’s a good hotel, but it is NOT 4-star. The lobby and entry area is beautiful decorated and updated, but the elevator and rooms are dated. The bed was not very comfortable and there were obvious aesthetic issues, like cracks, paint chipping, etc.

The check-in process was a breeze. MOD on Octerber 26th evening was very helpful. Apologies, I forgot her name.

Nice common areas. Dated rooms w some issues. Carpet stains, backwards shower handle …
Not bad overall. Hard to find something good in DC right now.

Valet will tell you anything. Fine with the price but it was actually doubled. One price for half of the day and another charge at night. Better off eating out for breakfast, wasn't worth the money and quality wasn't great. Stayed before in the past.

This was first time stay but will not be the last. The staff was professional and willing to help. The location is lovely area and very walkable to the main sites.
❤️Loved the room- had a large fridge, coffee maker, and a comfortable bed.

Decent spot although the A/C wasn’t working the first night we were there. Be advised that the valet is pretty expensive also. In addition, we had to get our electronic lock had to be replaced as we couldn’t get in our room the 2nd day.

The only thing that wasn’t good was there was no hot water in either the sink or the shower. Other than that the hotel was beautiful, very clean and staff was very friendly.

A bit dated. Surprise tax for historic buildings added at checkout for 25$ per night. Bar expensive and full Of mosquitos. Great location however.

Beautiful location and really nice property. It needs to be updated and modernized. Things like the bathroom and the room in general are starting to look worn and outdated.

The Melrose is a lovely hotel, and absolutely every staff member we interacted with was upbeat and delightful. We felt very welcome and well cared for, and have zero complaints. We’ll definitely try to stay here again, and will recommend it to others.
