Very convenient location. This is a 100 year old hotel- floors squeak etc. we expected some inconveniences, but the AC controls and the ceiling fan remote did not work. Fortunately, it was a cool night and we slept well without either.

The desk manager was not friendly. Maybe she had a bad day, but I will not be coming back. My clients in Florida have met there for several years. The quaint touch of a breakfast roll and coffee delivered to the room in the morning is gone.

We were extremely excited to stay at this hotel for a short vacation as the first trip after our twins were in the Nicu; however our excitement was quickly taken away when we were met with some of the staff at this hotel. Many of the staff were wonderful but unfortunately, we had the displeasure of encountering Cheryl and Pat. Both employees did not greet you upon entering the lobby and had headphones in (while watching tv and doing homework) to the point that we had to repeat ourselves multiple times when asking a question. We also had a stroller that would not fit through the front door without opening the second door that was latched and not once were we offered assistance in opening the latched, 100 year old door. They then gave us a “lesson” on how to properly close the door after we left with the stroller and blamed us for a guest not being able to get in the night prior. Had Cheryl and pat not had their headphones in, I’m sure they would have heard the guest asking for assistance with the jammed door.
In addition, they state they are a dog friendly hotel but when our little one who is 15 pounds and lovely barked a couple times, they called us back from dinner and gave us a hard time. When we arrived back to the hotel 10 minutes later, she was asleep in the room. Even though some of the staff offered for us to leave her there the next day, we felt forced to put our girl in a doggy dog care the next day knowing Cheryl and pat were there that night and we did not trust

Charming older hotel in need of some renovations and sound proofing

The first night the A/C was not working at all. We moved into another room where the A/C was working but with a bad performance, liking water ALL night, what made our stay really uncomfortable. The night manager has the nails ( a man) the size of half a finder, was really disgusting.
The day managers (except for the last morning) never say "hello" or good morning or good night, the barely noticed us, they were always on their computers (except for the last morning were the new couple was really nice). So, I will not recommend this Hotel at all. Location is fantastic but there are are several options much better than this one.

This hotel is a piece of history. It’s lovely inside and we had a room that opened to the long wrap around balcony overlooking the park. It was a wonderful place to have a morning coffee or a nightcap. The location in Winter Park couldn’t be better.
What you need to be prepared for are old and very soft beds (which could be upgraded)- small bathrooms (which they probably can’t really change) and extremely thin walls. It’s an old hotel and some things just can’t be made modern and so you have to just expect it’s not perfect. But it’s charming and worth at least one visit.

Beautiful historic property in the heart of Winter Park. Many shops and restaurants steps away.

Nice place to stay

The bed was like sleeping on a rubber raft. Only one light to read by. Room was so incredibly small it was difficult for 2 people to walk by each other.

Great stay

I loved this cute property!
4.2
Location is great. Place is old and has a historic value. Expect bare minimum amenities.
4.2
The property is definitely in a great location and the bedding was very comfortable. The bathroom and shutters need some love. I saw the cleaning girls but they don’t even have a vacuum. The hallways smell musty and carpets could use a good shampooing. There was dog hair in the stair ways and hallway's. They do supply ear plugs for the noise.
4.2
Very convenient location to great restaurants, shopping and museums. Friendly staff, ready to give recommendations for restaurants and directions.
4.2
I just love the history, architecture, and general vibe of a classic 1920’s era hotel; and was not disappointed in the richness of all 3 at the Park Plaza. Nearby dining options were amazing, walkability factor a perfect ten, as well as staff’s professionalism .

Old charming hotel with exceptional
Staff. Perfect location for downtown Winter Park.

It was our first time staying and it was our 22nd anniversary! It was a treat! We enjoyed the outside balcony over looking the busy Park Avenue shopping and restaurant district. The room was just as we imagined it would be. Comfy four poster bed. The only complaint was the bathroom sink was clogged so the water didn’t drain away fast. Staff were friendly and accommodating. We will be back again for sure!

Great boutique hotel in a perfect location. Really friendly staff!!
Would stay again for sure. Thank you

Very helpful lovely place

No complaints. We would stay there again without any hesitation.

Bed was externally uncomfortable . Mattress needs to be replaced urgently . Water in the lobby was not kept cold ( with ice ) and many times they were out of coffee and water . Valet parking is available but nobody shows up at the front door, so we only realized that there was someone when we already parked . The staff is very friendly but not very proactive ( some of them ). The hotel needs some remodeling and better cleaning . There were no hangers in the small closet . No little freezer . Plants are lovely but they need to be trimmed a little bit , so we can see the street . Location is excellent, historic building , but hotel needs to improve in several aspects. I would not go back especially for the price they charge. .

Good stay

Great little hotel, a stylish classic built in 1922. Friendly and efficient staff. Small rooms but great bed and shower. Internet worked great.
4.2
Tired...like an old horse that needs to get trailered to the glue factory
4.2
Shutters are broken. Bathroom very tiny.
TV very small. Overcharged on valet parking.
Bed was very comfortable, but AC was very loud
4.2
The hotel was unique and in the heart of Winter Park. It is older so it doesn’t have great soundproofing between rooms. I still loved its charm. The most perfect location.
4.2
A very clean, quiet and eccentric stay! We loved it
4.2
Great location. Spacious room
4.2
The service was amazing. The front desk and the valet attendant were great, professional and welcoming. The hotel is old which we were okay with but the room we were in was so muggy, had a strong smell (a scent covering a bad smell) and the air conditioner had a bright light that wouldn’t turn off with the remote. The bed was not comfortable and the view was not a view. This room was one of the worst rooms I’ve ever stayed in. I wanted to love it and return, but afraid that the room will be as bad and as uncomfortable.

Loved the hotel, real European style!
Excellent location

Beautiful, historic place!
4.2
The hotel is full of character. If you are looking for updated and modern this is not your place, but if you enjoy eclectic character, historic features, kind employees, friendly atmosphere in a great location this is the best place a round. I would absolutely stay here again. In fact I can’t wait too! The staff was accommodating and went above and beyond. The rooms are old but that is part of what you are paying for in my opinion. They even supply ear plugs if you are concerned about the train.

This was a mother/daughter trip over spring break to just hang out, shop, and eat at great restaurants. It was perfect! The hotel is right on Park Avenue so we could go back to our room anytime we wanted and not worry about driving anywhere. The shopping is great but the restaurants are even better! It was nice to sit on the patio overlooking beautiful Park Avenue with a coffee or glass of wine. The hotel is older so you have to understand what you’re getting. There is no refrigerator or room service and everything around you is “dated” but that adds to the charm of the place. The most important thing was that the bed was comfortable and the staff was lovely. I definitely plan to return and highly recommend staying here.

You can’t beat the location of this hotel right in the heart of Park Ave in Winter Park. We stayed for a night as we had a special dinner that was walking distance from the hotel. Reception was very helpful, the hotel has plenty of charm as well. The room and bathroom certainly aren’t ultra modern or updated, but everything was clean and acceptable especially for our short stay. I would definitely return and recommend for anybody needing to stay in the area.

A wonderful historic hotel in the heart of Winter Park. A treat to stay there. Highly recommend

I have so much affection for the Park Plaza and the people working there were all great. But the unclean condition of the rooms and balcony, hallways, etc… was kind of shocking. No consistency with the cleaning. I tried 4 different rooms, stayed in 2. Some of the furnishings were dilapidated, unclean, broken, etc… from room to room the TV was smaller and not user friendly. Fans were not very functional, a lampshade was broken, all the wicker/rattan furniture was filthy and the seat cushions too. In my room the cushion cover was gone and they haphazardly tucked a big dirty old sheet around it!! Also my mattress in one room was ok and in the next was hard and flat as a pancake,…with no mattress cover!! I could go on and on but I was too tired and so in need of a rest, I just stayed and waaaay overpaid. Oh I don’t think I ever heard a vacuum and my room was filthy with dog hair and wads of dust balls.
Sorry to report all this but no one seemed to care or clean properly. I also found both rooms had a “junk drawer” full of tourist brochures, outdated tv instructions, junky menus, etc… the staff cleaned out the drawers after I asked them about it, but did no other things to assist my communication to them. I even turned away the maids for 4 days because they barely cleaned anyway and had no proper equipment.
4.2
Historic and pleasant. Amenities are perfect for the vintage.

Looked onto the roof with all the Air conditioner units , noisier than the trains going by.
When I requested another room , was told I booked an economy room and that is what I got!!!!

This property was in a prime location in Winter Park. The staff was friendly and the hotel was unique with lots of history and charm. It had a beautiful balcony that you could sit out and enjoy the weather and the activity along Park Avenue. It was wonderful.
4.2
Love the location and the "old time" feeling of the Park Plaza Hotel. Staff was really nice (they may be the owners) and although the room was small it had a great atmosphere.
