My recent stay was elevated to an extraordinary experience with an exceptional room upgrade. The shower and bathtub were nothing short of luxurious, offering a perfect retreat after a long day. The room itself was incredibly spacious and impeccably clean, creating an atmosphere of comfort and tranquility. The service throughout my stay was excellent, consistently meeting and exceeding my expectations.
One of the highlights was the complimentary coffee and tea service. The quality was outstanding, with premium coffee pods and fine tea selections that truly enhanced my mornings.
Overall, my experience was positive, with only a few minor concerns. The kitchen staff appeared to be somewhat disorganized. Despite specific instructions from Patience to prepare Halaal omelettes on a separate pan, the initial preparation was done on a non-Halaal frying pan. It also seemed that the waitstaff were a bit unclear on the management's instructions, leading to some delays and confusion in service. Fortunately, Aziza eventually stepped in and personally prepared and served the Halaal omelette separately, which was appreciated. With a bit more coordination, this issue could easily be resolved.

We stayed in a Family Duplex Suite. The room was spacious and had all the facilities we needed. The ocean view was relaxing. Special mention must be made to Llewellyn at reception, who organized my room service. The breakfast was fantastic. We were also allowed an additional hour as a late checkout.

Buffet breakfast quality was good, but at Zar 205 pp was not value for money. A la carte breakfast was so slow and as often as not delivered incorrectly, or with items missing. We reorted to toast only and we made it ourselves!
The service standard in this hotel is frankly the worst I've ever experienced in a 4* hotel! From items in the bars out of stock, impossibly slow service in the restaurant, coffee lounge, reception.
We went to local restaurants and bars for virtually all meals, coffees and drinks - we could have spent a lot more money in this hotel.

Wat ons het meeste beviel is het comfort: er is zoveel aanwezig: restaurant, cocktailbar, gym, zwembad, ontbijtservice…onze kamer was een suite met veel comfort en ruim, een espresso machine, waterkoker, koelkastje, 2 tv’s
Verder is het personeel erg vriendelijk
Waarom ik geen 10 heb gegeven is omdat de kamer een wat kille uitstraling heeft met kille kleuren
Er staat geen gezellig zitje op het balkon maar 1 plastic stoel in ons geval
En het zou fijn zijn geweest wat meer internationale zenders op tv als je meer tijd in de kamer moet of wilt doorbrengen

Hotel standard could be 5 star, public facilities are beautiful and well maintained. The beautiful modern bathroom was of 5 star quality. Crisp white sheets looked beautifull. Our room had a big balcony overlooking the ocean, breath taking views. Had a GREAT complimentary breakfast Overall we had a good stay, just the room was disappointing and not romantic.
The room was bit disappointing, curtain seams were stapled in with rusty staples. Bar fridge cupboard looked really bad, obviously has had water damage. Laminate flooring had a lot of bad scratches. And my request for champagne in the room was not fulfilled. Unfortunately the balcony is shared between three rooms, so a lack of privacy for a romantic getaway.

I would just like to know where is the BnB?cause we asked if we could take some food up to our room and the lady at the restaurant told us we are at the BnB.. the amount I paid was very much if that is a bnb

The location was great and a few nice restaurants around the property.
Good size rooms and spacious bathroom.
We were given a room without a working aircon despite there being a notice at the front desk wall saying do not allocate rooms in that range as the aircons were not working. After bringing this to the receptionists attention, it seemed like she was not even aware of this but still made no attempt to give us an alternate room. We were told it was being fixed. We again complained later that night and was offered another room that was not suitable and opted to stay in the room given until the next day in hope that the aircon will be fixed. Once again nothing was done the next day and no attempt was made by the hotel to speak to us . Complained once again and this time was moved to a suitable room that should have been offered in the first place. Despite asking to speak to management, nobody contacted us. We couldn't keep the windows open as the wind was strong and sand blows in.
The breakfast had a variety but not much change in 4 days. We only ate the items that were covered as there were countless flies sitting on the uncovered food.

Breakfast was excellent. I was pleasantly surprised that you have chefs that caters for halaal patrons. This made my stay extra special because I started my day with excellently prepared breakfast in the knowledge that everything was halaal.
I am still waiting for somebody to bring me a towel at the pool. This request was ignored whilst I was swimming and I ended up getting my own towel which I packed just in case there was poor service at the pool. I asked several attendants who worked in and around the pool for a towel and they acknowledged me but never followed through in actually bringing me one.

Booked room with breaksfast, on arrival told no breakfast, although booked with breakfast through bookin. com. Room allocated were still in process of being painted with workers equipment and paint annisters all over. The shower did not work, no extra blankets or pillows available

The pictures looked really good in the internet. However they were misleading!
The breakfast was absolutely terrible! Quality of food shocking, the chef’s clothes and his cloths were filthy! No coffee! When we ordered coffee we were told “they don’t have any beans”! I had to ask for the manager - after which we received some coffee.

The swimming pool & gym equipment yet small without aircon
Upon arrival at 3:17pm my room wasnt ready (note check-in 2pm) by 4:30 i got access to my room. The aircon on, slide door wide open yet my sweat dripped even after a cold shower, receptionist said aircons dont work during load shed even tho i told her its on. By 6:30, no loadshed i called again and she sent the maintenance guy who said the aircons dont work . He later brought me a fan. The TV was snowy & limited channels NO youtube+netflex, no Cutlery or plates available in the room & the fridge also on but not working either. ppl shouldnt be obligated to spend at the onsite restaurants as i felt forced to do so. Also, theres no soap in the bathroom. Very DISTURBING & annoyed as this location has a beautiful view however thats how far it goes. UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED

It was my wifes birthday and we had a free upgrade to a suite.it was lekker and a veiw to match . Buffet breakfast next morning was first class and plentiful. We had dinner in the restaurant the night before. Very good . Food and drink not over priced.

Well done to Ash and Dominique on the front desk who sorted out some issues caused by poor service by a receptionist. We've stayed previously and like the duplex rooms
BREAKFAST - at best somewhat shambolic. Coffee machines breaking down and needing filling / emptying; only one person working the egg station who cannot cook a poached egg! They ran out of eggs 8/1! A lot of the food is cold and not replenished timely. Tables are not cleared timely. Problems raised with staff in the dining room are essentially ignored. ROOM - It was a daily adventure to see if towels, tea, water would be provided in the bedroom. Usually not and we had to ask

The views are spectacular and the hotel is clean and well kept, except for the restaurant which is a bit dirty. I cleaned the tables myself.
When I arrived, which was about 1.5 hours after check in, our room was still not ready and I had work to do so I was standing around the lobby with my laptop. There were quite a few people waiting for their rooms. This was highly frustrating as I had a deadline to meet. Apparently, they have a habit of allowing guests to check out late, which affects the next guest's check-in time. I suggest that you call the hotel before arrival to check if your room is ready.
Breakfast was okay. I won't take the breakfast option again as there are lovely breakfast places in the area. There were also no slippers in our hotel room. The extra bed which I requested for my kid during booking, only came after a few calls to reception. We were 3 people in the room, but they only put in one tiny bottle of shower gel, so on our first night we had to request more products. This was a bit strange because I stayed at this hotel before and I rated it 10 stars because the stay was exceptional. Not sure what happened this time around. I will definitely be giving the hotel another try because the location is perfect and although they do some things wrong, they also do some things right. I am hoping that the next trip will be exceptional.

No microwaves in the rooms , I’d love to have had a microwave in my room for when I didn’t finish my food from the restaurant and I get to reheat it later on .

We had a comfortable 3 nights, well worth the price.
Breakfast starts at 7am but on 1 morning we had to wait. Usually this won't be a problem but because the hotel is situated far from main tourists sites. Staff need to be aware of possible scheduled activities planned by guests and be well prepared to receive guests on time for breakfast.

Rooms wee a good size and were cleaned promptly and early the next day. Location is good with a few good restaurants in close proximity.
The balcony was a mess on daily basis by pigeon droppings which were never cleaned up the next day. A simple solution is to put bird spikes on the light fittings on the balcony lights. Breakfast was okay but if you are staying for four days or longer there is not much variety.
