Fabulous property. Clean and tidy. Comfortable beds. Quiet area. Fabulous stay.

A lovely property in a lovely location. In the countryside but a short drive to all of the local attractions. Stayed for a long weekend and would definitely return. The garden gets good sunshine and is mostly fake grass so doesn't get muddy if it rains. The cottage was clean and well equipped. The walk in shower cubicle is in a small ensuite but there's an over bath shower in the bigger main bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped and there were tea bags and coffee pods already there for us.

Our very helpful host ensured we had everything we needed for the stay. Great location to explore the area too. Loved the local beaches.

We stayed at Manuka cottage for 5 weeks, of all the places we have stayed over the years Deb is by far the best host we have experienced, very friendly and attentive to all our needs. The property itself is beautiful, spacious, providing everything that we needed, very comfortable beds and based within a quiet area. The biggest perk would have to be the hottub which as a family we enjoyed very much. Over all a luxury experience and we would definitely come back again at some point.
Thanks for everything Deb, hope to see you again soon 😊

Wonderful welcome as house was decorated with Christmas tree and decorations, a cream tea and a bottle of Prosecco. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the owner was very attentive to all our needs. Comfortable rooms with an amazing TV which was much better than our own!

We had a lovely week in the great property. Traditional English September weather with a mix of rain, sun and gale force winds, but no matter as it allowed us to simply enjoy our surroundings. Everything from the Sky Glass TV, the luxurious hot-tub, good Wi-Fi, and comfy beds and furniture was spot on and made for a very relaxing time. Village itself is lovely with the absence of street lights making for a spectacular night sky. The River Shack, a 10 min walk, was a lovely spot with good, reasonably priced food and good beer. Was a good base for exploring both Devon and Cornwall. Dog friendly beach at Goodrington was just a15 min drive away and much enjoyed by Duffy. Whilst we didn’t get to meet Deb, she checked in regularly to make sure everything was ok, which it was. Will not hesitate to book again when we next return to Devon.

Manuka Cottage is set in a beautiful location a quiet peaceful village. The cottage was a wonderful base clean and very well maintained everything you could wish for. Debbie is a fantastic host even popping round to make sure everything was ok and if we needed anything.
The welcome pack was much appreciated after our long journey.
We would highly recommend Manuka cottage to anyone wanting to visit the south west.
We will be going back soon that's for sure...
Thank you so much Deb for making us feel so welcome.

Great location, lovely host who had all things covered and even called us from her holiday abroad to make sure we were all ok. We also took the dogs with us and they were really happy there, great garden for the kids, hot tub is lovely and would thoroughly recommend this property as extremely gpod value for money. Would absolutely use it again. Thanks Deb.

We had an amazing time staying at Manuka cottage, Deb was an amazing host, answered any questions we had and was incredibly helpful. The house was beautiful and clean, so was the garden and hot tub which she came and cleaned mid week.
There is so much to do locally, everything was within 10-20 mins drive for where we wanted to go with little ones. The pubs in the local village are 10’mins walk, the church house inn being a particular favourite!!
The only thing I would say constructively would be to have a few more mirrors, my husband in particular takes ages in the shower! So I found I didn’t have a mirror whilst I waited! But other than that, everything was perfect. Thanks so much!! Xx

We have enjoyed the property a lot! Very clean, very well equipped (kitchen tools, coffee machine, board games etc.), and a lot of space and things to do for the family and our little puppy. Three bathrooms (one of them en suite), three separate bedrooms, a living room with TV, a great kitchen area with a huge dinner table and - last but not least - a very clean and cosy Hot Tub in the garden (38 degree celcius at all times). There is also an outside table on the patio and a relax area equipped with lounge furniture. A parking lot is placed next to the house. It’s just a few minutes drive to a big supermarket, a few surrounding cities and to beautiful beaches. Stoke Gabriel has a cute little village centre with nicely decorated traditional pubs and restaurants. We would also like to mention Deborah, the owner, who was around supporting us and making sure we have a great time - Many thanks again for your hospitality! A special recommendation for fathers & sons (no way to make my daughters joining me): If you would like to enjoy a remarkable day out, it is a worth visiting the Tank Museum in Bovington (two hours drive) with a huge selection of WW1 and WW2 tanks. A great exhibition and lots of opportunities to learn about history and engineering. We hope to be back at some stage, Deborah!

We had a fantastic holiday at Manuka cottage. It was spotlessly clean and very spacious for our family of 2 adults and 2 young children. The outside space and the hot tub was a real bonus for us and we were lucky to have great weather during our 10 night stay. The kitchen is well equipped and we were able to cook easily.
The location is also perfect. Stoke Gabriel is a really friendly village with 2 pubs a shop and close to the river for crabbing which my children enjoyed, all walking distance from the cottage. Also a short drive away is a choice of nice beaches, and seaside towns to explore. I would recommend the steam train from Paignton to Dartmouth, and we had a great day at Paignton zoo as well.
All in all we had a fantastic holiday and would definitely return to Manuka cottage again.

The property was just how it was described and looked in the photos. Modern, bright and very well equipped. The hot tub was fantastic and huge. The conservatory was lovely too.
The location was great. 10 mins walk to the village pubs and river. Easy drive to Paignton and surrounding areas.
Our host Deb was very welcoming and helpful.
We were well looked after and had a wonderful stay. I would love to return. 😀

We all enjoyed our stay, the hot tub was very relaxing, it was local to places to visit. I would definitely recommend a stay. Deb (the host) was very nice and helpful.
The roads are very narrow and the locals now the roads and drive very fast.

We had the best holiday at Deb’s cottage! Everything was just as advertised. The hot tub was a big hit. The welcome pack was a lovely touch. The only thing we didn’t use was the TV as we were too busy having fun. The location was a perfect base to explore from with lots to do within easy distance. Deb was the perfect host and it was lovely to meet her just before we left for home. We can’t wait to go back!

Debs’ place was absolutely lush, with everything you need under one roof. The kitchen/diner were super clean and spacious, the bedrooms were very comfy and had the best sleep for a long time. We spent most of our time in the garden as we had beautiful weather, enjoying the seating area and the incredible hot tub and bar, which was an added bonus. We would recommend this to anyone who wants to explore Stoke Gabriel and the surrounding areas, and would come back in a heartbeat. Thank you for such a wonderful stay :)

We have just returned from a great break at mannuka cottage. Deb was very helpful and the place was absolutely spotless !! The prosecco cream tea and other goodies were greatly appreciated and we loved the hot tub !! . The only downside for us was the bed as we are both tall , hubby 6 ft 5 but should have read the property description. All in all 5 star stay.

Lovely homely cottage with everything needed.
Responsive and friendly host.
Handy location to visit nearby places such as Paignton, Goodrington beach and Paignton zoo.
The grandchildren loved it, nice enclosed garden that is astroturfed and a hot tub for the grown ups in the evenings.
I would definitely book this again!

We had a lovely time at Manuka Cottage. Spotlessly clean, nicely furnished, very well equipped and the icing on the cake was the jacuzzi, even in the rain. Also the goodies left were much appreciated. Excellent contact with our host Deb who as promised had lights and heating on for our late arrival and checked on us throughout our stay, ourselves and our dog, Elsie felt very welcomed.
We visited both village pubs, The Church Inn and the Castle, the River Shack and also Emma’s where we had a gorgeous meal on our last night. Stoke Gabriel is a lovely village, plenty of walks and friendly locals and we will be back.

The hot tub was FAB, and heated ready for us on arrival.

A stunning spacious and modern cottage, spotlessly clean and really nicely decorated, in a quiet location.
We didn't get to see much of Stoke Gabriel village but it seems a really nice place. Far enough to be quiet and away from the hussle and bussle yet just over 5 minutes drive to Paignton. Within 20 minutes are Brixham or Torquay.
The cottage had everything we needed for a brilliant stay.
The garden is really nice with lots of outdoor seating. The hot tub is what we booked it for and we got plenty of use of it. There's a 'bar' by the hot tub which has plastic glasses and cocktail making kit (using your own drinks!).
There's a big dining table in the conservatory where we spent a lot of time too, with games that are provided.
The owners Deb and her husband Adam are really good hosts, with Deb phoning to make sure everything was OK and if we had any questions. Also told us about local events going on.
We can't recommended this place highly enough.
