About this cabin rental

Large cottage by the sea for rent.
The cottage is of a high standard, with large living room, kitchen and beautiful bedrooms.
The cottage is well equipped and is beautifully located on Sotra at the far end of the sea.

A perfect starting point for those who want to go deep sea fishing, or just a family vacation.
Own boat that is possible to rent is located in the marina 100m from the cabin.

Boat is not included in rental price but can be hired on request.

There are very good fishing conditions in the area. There are filleting houses at the boatyard. Here is also a freezer for storage of catch.

Large and secluded and spacious terrace with sea views.
The chalet is located 150m from Panorama Hotel and Resort, which offers its own wellness department, restaurant and Bar.
The cottage is newly built and has a large living room, separate TV room and attic with terrace in the 2nd floor kitchen and 2 bathrooms.
3 double bedrooms and 2 large bedrooms on the 2nd floor. In addition, the TV room and loft area are equipped with a sofa bed.
Also suitable for several families, or groups wishing to vacation together.

sheets and towels can be rented for 150NOK / person

The cottage is built for private use and is rented out for vacant periods.

We so appreciated being right on the water and enjoyed the view from each room in the house! The sunsets were magnificent! The owner was available and responsive to the couple of questions we had. We cooked our meals and the kitchen had all that we needed. The hot tub and sauna were enjoyed at the end of each day for a relaxing moment. The house is approximately 45 minutes into the center of Bergen and a beautiful ride. We wanted our first trip to Norway to be authentic and the best way we found to do that was to stay in a lovely fjord to take in all the natural surroundings… this house provides that and sweet memories that we won’t soon forget!

We had a lovely stay at William's property. The cottage is lovely and well equipped. The location is stunning and was a much needed respite during a busy trip - everyone wanted to stay longer. We hope to be back next time we're in Norway.

The house is in a very nice location and has al the amenities you need. The firepit was pretty cool with the stunning sunsets. There is other houses just around which seem to be kind of partylocations. It was a bit noisy 3 evenings during our week...but maybe that's just because im getting older ;-) William is a very nice host and takes care of everyhing. The fishing is also pretty good and there's a lot of fish just a 5 min drive with the boat. We really enjoyed our stay in Steinsland.

Das Objekt war für skandinavischen Verhältnissen gut ausgestattet. Kleinere Schönheitsreparaturen stehen noch aus. Aber insgesamt ein absolut schönes Haus zum Wohlfühlen. Der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter war zu jedem Zeitpunkt vorbildlich und freundlich. Wir freuen uns darauf im nächsten Jahr abermals dieses Haus besuchen zu dürfen.

Views are lovely, & flowers on the deck were a nice touch. Unfortunately, this experience was very disappointing. Too many things to review, but here are some: no number on the house (hard to find), bad directions, odd layout, poor lighting (no light over kitchen sink), broken washer door, missing baseboards, guests are expected to make their beds on arrival, sheets weren't provided, what was there didn't fit the beds, one towel per person (no hand towels, washcloths, pillowcases, etc). The bedrooms are tiny, no closet, shelves, nightstands or dresser in master (only a hook for clothing), and bed is only place for luggage. There was large piece of burlap over the bed that is covering a large hole in the wall. I found it when I was struggling to make the sheet fit the bed and leaning against the wall. Shoddy workmanship in house (see some pics for examples). I contacted the owner/manager, who seemed less than interested in fixing the issues. There was no book that owners typically provide that gives house information, local information, restaurant info, etc. I have never left a review like this - I have been using VRBO for about 9 years, and this is the worst experience I have had.

The house was immaculate. Incredible unobstructed water view. Very nice and responsive owner. Open floor plan from kitchen to dining room to living room to deck. Too many bedrooms to count. All furniture brand new and very comfy. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking and dining ware for larger parties. This was MY ALL TIME FAVORITE RENTAL. There was a new gas Barbie if you like to grill. And, the Panorama Hotel is a five minute walk if you want to dine out a night or two. What an excellent value. The listing doesn’t do it justice. Again, highly recommend.

Très belle maison, confortable et bien équipée, vue sur le fjord magnifique

L'île de Sotra est assez sauvage bien que proche de Bergen. Belle nature et beaux coins de pêche, possible depuis le bord. La météo est assez humide comme à Bergen. La maison de William Lindberg est dans une lotissement, mais elle est située en première ligne au bord du fjord. C'est très calme.

Perfect place to stay. My 2 sons and I really loved it! I rented a car but I really didn't need to. You can walk or drive to a bus stop. House is beautiful, quiet, relaxing. Easy access into Bergen. Can't recommend this place enough!!!!

Vi var en voksen vennegjeng som hadde en flott helg på denne hytten. Hytten var koselig, stor og velutstyrt. Uteplassen var veldig bra, med nydelig utsikt. Meget mulig at vi kommer tilbake hit.

Superbe maison parfaitement équipée et fonctionnelle avec une vue fantastique. Mais l'étage n'est pas terminé, des planches trainent et surtout, le balcon supérieur dont les panneaux vitrés n'étaient pas solidaires auraient pu constituer un danger si un enfant était sorti sans surveillance. Et attention, même si la photo laisse supposer que la maison est isolée, elle fait partie d'un lot d'une douzaine de maison. Elle est la plus proche de la mer et une fois à l'intérieur ou sur la terrasse, one ne voit personne. Nous la recommandons vivement, que ce soit pour une grande famille ou groupe d'amis. Un supermarché et station service à moins d'1km rendent l'isolement relatif et du cup confortable!

En flott og trivelig hytte! Mange fine muligheter i nærheten som vi ikke rakk å benytte oss av, men en tur til Panorama resort & hotel rakk vi - det kan anbefales! Hytten har god plass både inne og ute, og vakker utsikt. Vi hadde også alt vi trengte, og vi hadde et flott opphold. Vi kommer gjerne igjen!

With no doubt the best experience.Wiløia left the house fully equipped for our stay. It's clean, spacious, modern, new and beautiful. He has an eye for design and it's translated into the spatial experience. The place is also in front of the water. And there is nothing besides a few houses in it's surroundings. If i lived in Norway, I propably would think about renting the house in frequent basis. In general terms, he was a magnificent host and i compleately recommend him.
