Introducing Barefoot Bungalow SPV26. Situated on Alister Street, this property is just a short distance away from the grocery store, restaurants, bars and other shopping. It is also conveniently located near Beach street which is a beach access road. These cottages have been a fixture in Port Aransas for many years and offer a truly unique location. The kitchen offers a cook-top stove, microwave and full size refrigerator.
Please note: This community does not allow boats or trailers of any kind. A maximum of two standard size vehicles are allowed. Golf carts count as one of the two vehicles. STR#524874

This place was a great little place to stay. Two bars in close proximity if that’s your thing. Ice cream shop right around the corner. We used it to buy vanilla ice cream for our coffee.
Totally enjoyed the screened in porch!!
Bathroom is very small, sleeps 4 is not acceptable unless you have two small children. Otherwise it’s perfect

We stayed two night and the bungalow was clean. Close to restaurants and you can walk to them as well. Having a yard was awesome for our fur baby. Will be back again I am sure.

we enjoyed our stay but were disappointed in the spv26 barefoot bungalow the ac would barely keep the room cool, the front door would not stay closed unless the dead bold was locked, the window ac was not sealed good there was electrical tape and part of a tea bag box to seal around window ac. we had to cleanup dog poop in the yard to keep from stepping in it there are mouse poop under the bed, flying bugs came in every night and big roaches in the room, I never complain about places we stay but this place needs alot of attention. We still enjoyed our overall stay.

We have stayed in this unit numerous times and always have a great experience. This time I noticed they made a couple small changes that were a pleasant surprise. The only thing that needs to be addressed is the convection oven has a tendency to stop working while cooking which can be annoying when you are trying to cook.

We enjoy our stay it was close to everyone who came out with us and around the shops and beach. Only thing I would complain about is the bathroom is small and needs to be redone the tile grout shoots out water and there is no vent other then that it was a great stay

AC in living room is old and held together with electrical tape makes a lot of noise
The hot water in the shower is Luke room at best also no room in the shower
you have about 14 inches of space to hang clothes no hooks anywhere in the house except for the bathroom to hang a beach towel or bathing suit

kids do more damage than dogs do you take a kid deposit or cleaning fee?
At the end of the day, very disappointed, and would not pay the money to stay in this place again
To add insult injury after paying for cleaning fees I get a text telling me to run the dishwasher and take the trash out before I leave
It’s obvious whoever owns this place has never stayed there
Vrbo will never be on my list again

Overall it was a pleasant stay for the weekend. There was just a few things that were unfavorable. First the hot water barely works. Had to take cold showers. Also in this cottage they made the shower a little bigger but rest of the bathroom cramped. The shower has a leak causing water to go all over the floor, we had to put towels down for the water. We've stayed in a few cottages on Spanish Village probably won't stay here again. We did love the yard, it was perfect for our little dog. Bed was comfortable as was the futon couch.

It was way smaller than we thought it was. There was a leak thru the ceiling fan in the middle of the night but was fixed quickly the next day & new sheets & towels provided. The fences were too short for our golden retrievers, but small dogs would be fine here. We were on a budget with the dogs so it was fine for the money. The best part was the screened in porch. Loved it!

This property is in a great location with bars and some restaurants all within walking distance. They yard was well maintained and my dog enjoyed running around. The inside was nice but much smaller than I imagined from the pictures. The WiFi went out about 5 pm on our last night and didn’t come back on until about 11 pm. While I realize it was due to a spectrum outage and out of the owners hands, a little refund would have been nice. There is no cable and wasn’t able to stream anything while the cable was out.

Great place to stay for a small family with little kids. There is a door on the bedroom so you’re able to block them off in the evening and can hang out on the porch! Also a really walkable locations with the shops on the same street.

We loved the little house, especially the screened porch. Very clean and well-furnished for a beach stay. Kitchen had everything we needed. The next time you remodel the bathroom, consider losing the window and moving the shower to that wall. A pedestal sink where the shower is, would give more room. Loved the pantry in the hall, very useful. The circle street was very quiet and made for a nice neighborhood.

We were originally booked for a different cottage but when we arrived to that one we were not happy with the yard so I called the management office and asked if we could be moved over to Barefoot Bungalow. The girl (I think her name was Hailey) who helped us was very friendly and had us moved over to the other property in less than 5 minutes.

This cottage was in the perfect location - close enough in town to walk to a few places if we wanted to, but out of the way/quiet enough to take our dog for a walk around the neighborhood without worrying about traffic. The house was clean - which I was super happy about considering this is a "pet friendly" cottage. I've been upset at previous rentals with pet hair on everything - and that was NOT the case here. I appreciated the amount of consumables (trash bags, soap, etc.) that were provided - it was enough for our stay. The fenced in yard was great for our mini Aussie to have room to run (grass was mowed and the landscaping was well kept and beautiful), and we loved the screened in patio area during the evenings (also in great condition - no holes in the screen, patio furniture was solid and not falling apart). We did take the AC filter out of the window unit and shook it off, so I would recommend to management to check those more often. I appreciated having a broom to sweep up the sand that makes its way into the house. Glad there were extra linens and pillows available, made the stay more comfortable! I also liked the keypad entry, it made checking in and out a breeze. The parking for this particular cottage was plenty for the 2 vehicles (truck + golf cart) that we had. We will definitely be considering this property or any other cottage in this neighborhood for a future stay.
