Very warm and lovely welcome from Lyn.
The Old Police House is a very special place, small but there‘s everything you need. Comfortable bed, cooking place, fridge…
Lyn recommended us a few good places to go out and have diner, within walking distance.
We would really come back once.
Thank you Lyn for your kindness and helpfulness.

The location was wonderful as was the hostess. She was very friendly and helpful in finding a supermarket and somewhere for dinner. The room was a stand alone unit which had everything we needed and had a super comfortable bed. Breakfast was really good too. Highly recommend staying here.
There was nothing to dislike.

Lyn’s homemade breakfast baps were incredible! The location was great - stones throw from Cheddar village and gorge. Lyn and Franky were so accommodating, and couldn’t do enough for us. The friendliest hosts we’ve ever come across - you can tell that this annexe is their pride and joy! Would highly recommend!
Nothing - it was a perfect stay!

Fantastic host who couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable! Cosy annexe accommodation with everything we needed. Lovely breakfast roll served in the room. Was offered the option of muesli, yoghurt, warm rolls with homemade jam and Lyn was happy to serve breakfast at a time suitable for us. Off road parking which is always a bonus and just a 10 minute walk into the village
Having to leave!

This dwelling serves as an annex to the main property, providing an exceptional level of privacy. Positioned ideally, it is conveniently within walking distance of Cheddar's main attractions. Simultaneously, it manages to maintain a sense of seclusion, making it an idyllic sanctuary to unwind in after a bustling day exploring tourist sites and embarking on hikes, free from the din and traffic.
Lyn, a truly hospitable host, extends a warm welcome and readily endeavors to accommodate requests regarding check-in and check-out times. The breakfast, meticulously prepared in accordance with our preferences and enjoyed within the confines of our room, was a culinary delight. The offering struck a harmonious balance between complexity and simplicity, and the inclusion of Lyn's home-baked baps was an exquisite touch.
For those seeking reprieve after a full day of activities, I wholeheartedly endorse this establishment as an optimal choice. It not only offers a place of respite but also elevates the overall experience of your visit.

The property was situated in a very good spot. The owners were very pleasant and helpful, the owner had a lot of knowledge of the area. The little mini kitchen was a good thing to have. We enjoyed our breakfast, but would have liked a menu to choose from rather than having to ask what there was available.
We found it a bit cramped especially the bathroom. The shower was quite old and not really adequate, I would not have liked to rely on it in the winter. The owner did say it needed doing. We felt the price should be lower to reflect this.

Friendly welcome, made to feel at home. Tailor made breakfast personally delivered to the accommodation.
8 minute walk to Cheddar village so able to avoid excessive parking charges in the gorge itself.

Wow what a place! Very clean has everything you could need & is within walking distance of local pubs/shops and of course the gorge. Lyn makes you feel incredibly welcome with lovely touches such as home made breakfast baps (which are fantastic) served in the room with tea or coffee. Perfect start to a day of exploring.

First of all a lovely welcome from Lyn the host. Received a message saying room was ready and we could check in earlier thought that was very nice. Breakfast was superb. Home baked fresh baps and rolls ( to die for). Locally sources fillings bacon sausage and eggs, locally sourced home made jams. For two morning I had bacon, sausage and egg bap. Last morning fresh baked rolls and jams. Large pot of coffee to finish and make sure you try the apple juice, it’s special.
Bathroom facilities great, large shower, nice little extras like shampoo, shower gel, pad to remove make up and cotton buds if needed. Bed comfy and nice pillows. Facilities to cook if you wish, fridge to chill your wine and tins, tea & coffee there if you want it. We stayed for 3 nights plenty of room we thought. Great having a parking space.
We popped into Bristol, parked at Park & Ride and spent a lovely day around the docks and shops. Dropped into Wells had great coffee and cake at the Strangers with Coffee cafe, walked to Cheddar brewery where you can order a pizza from the Pizza van and have an Ale to two. Had a great time.
Will see you again for sure.
Cannot fault The Old Police House as a place to stay.
All good.
