This was a very good location. Some of the reviews mentioned that the neighborhood was sketchy but I definitely do not agree. Neighbors were super friendly and made us feel welcome. Lots of southern hospitality. We did find that the beds were advertised as queen size but they seemed a little smaller. Two large people cannot fit in the beds comfortably. We solved this by having someone sleep on the couch. Which was fine. Overall this place was great for us.

Horrible area of town, hole in one bedroom door, miscellaneous crap in closets (broken tv, empty charger box, etc), shower curtain rod just hanging on the tile and not long enough shower curtains that were filthy, no check in instructions which resulted in getting VRBO involved, they gave us door code, but alarm went off and VRBO didn’t have code, police were dispatched…nightmare!

Newly remodeled 2 story shotgun home, it is very spacious, it is very clean and had everything we needed. Rouse's grocery is close by. We had a car and parked right at the front door with no issues at all. I would recommend for 3 couples visiting New Orleans. We had a great experience.

This property looks exactly as advertised. I saw a few ify reviews and i’m not sure why because this property was amazing! it’s about a 10min walk to the nearest bus stop that will take you all around the city. The property was extremely clean and the host messaged us back immediately every time we reached out. This house is humongous and is definitely the best VRBO i’ve rented in new orleans. Everything is extremely updated and clean. Such a great stay we will definitely be returning to this property. Thank you!!!

The house was awesome. The beds were very comfortable and bedding soft. We enjoyed the outside spaces as well. We had 6 adults and one toddler, there was even a bonus toddler bed in the Master bedroom! We were very comfortable with lots of room to spread out. We did have TV issues, could only get one to work. Didn't need to contact the property manager, only before the trip to get check in instructions. You will get those the night before or day of arrival, this made me a bit nervous, but everything was fine.

The house was very nice and clean, and very roomy. The neighborhood was a little sketchy, especially at night, with an all female group staying. The house directly across the street appeared to be a drug house, there were people coming and going all hours of the night. The first night we checked in there was a person who visited that house and stayed in front of the house, pacing back and forth for 20-30 mins, staring directly at us and the house (this was at 11:30 PM). We felt unsafe and ended up staying in a hotel for the night. Another morning there was someone sitting out drinking a beer and smoking a blunt. During the day, the area is okay, but definitely be prepared.

This was a lovely house with high ceilings and nice fixtures. We had lots of space to relax. Our non tech-savvy group had some trouble using the tvs, but the stay was very clean with comfortable beds and plenty of clean towels.

Awesome we love every thing about our stay and we will be back

We enjoyed our stay on Josephine St. It was a nice sized house for the amount of adult guests we had. As discussed with the owner, I would get the doors fixed for each bedroom as it was an atrocity in trying to open every time the doors closed. I literally had to use my whole body weight to open the door back up and would have been locked in if I didn’t have my significant other able to do so; seems like a fire hazard. We also had problems locking the upper and back balconies as well.
We also had to purchase additional toilet paper, as it was barely 1 roll in each bathroom. There is a trap house across the street, but no fault to the owner and everyone minded their business so no issues there being we were a larger group with 4 men with us.
The house was clean and just like the description. Location was key and would definitely stay again given those few suggestions were addressed. Owner was very responsive prior to our stay. Again, the location was lovely and we were able to enjoy the Mardi Gras parade just a block outside the house!

We enjoyed our stay the house it was very clean. It was bigger than expected. The home looks new and well maintained. The neighborhood looks like it is in transition but we had no problems with our car being parked in front and feeling safe.
Walking around in groups in the neighborhood during the daytime is safe. I I would not walk around at night time, Of course I would not walk around at night time anywhere in New Orleans other than the very busy areas so that’s pretty normal for New Orleans.
We would stay here again.

It's a very nice space. And it's a quiet area, even though you can walk easily to St. Charles, and a little bit after that, to Magazine Street. Also, the rate was very reasonable.
There are a LOT of little things the owner needs to address. The 2 downstairs TVs don't work. (We discovered at the end of our stay, so there was no time to have the owner address this.) There are no nightstands or lamps in the bedrooms. There was no soap or shampoo. There is almost no silverware, and very few pots or pans. You would have a hard time cooking there. Again, I understand that these are small things. In the bathrooms, there are paper towels instead of tissue paper.
Most importantly, the communication with our host was bad. The rest of the stuff was minor. I liked the house, and if they took care of everything, I would stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property in New Orleans. The home was is a good location for our needs. I know in other reviews people do comment on the neighbourhood being in transition. I do agree but never once did we feel unsafe and people we bumped into on the streets were all friendly. I would stay here again and I would also recommend to friends and family.

The location of the house was close to everything we wanted to go to. House was spacious and clean upon check in. Street parking but never had an issue not parking in front of the house. Contact was responsive when reached out to.

We enjoyed our stay in New Orleans, but were disappointed in the house. Access directions were not sent to us in advance which is unusual.
The house was not clean and was littered with the owner’s random ‘junk drawer’ type clutter all over the house.
The layout of the house lent itself well to family gatherings. All of the bedrooms were upstairs, which we didn’t know from the description. One bedroom didn’t have a closet - was locked. The dresser in the middle bedroom was too large to allow the door to completely open.
The kitchen is very nice, but missing typical niceties such as wine glasses and kitchen knives. The pantry and several drawers were not useable due to miscellaneous junk in them.
We’ve not rented from VRBO previously, not sure we’ll try again.

This property was exactly as pictured. The 2 separate living room spaces was perfect for having a large group with everyone able to hang out together on the multiple couches. There were plenty of extra blankets, pillows, and towels.
As a Nola local you always need to be aware of your surroundings, but given that this city is very block to block we felt safe and it was located on an attractive street.
Check in with a key pad code was a breeze.

Only 3 of the 5 TV's worked. Dirty clothes were left in dresser drawer. The kitchen faucet stopped working and we couldn't wash dishes. I was threatened and called a buster by the owner and asked to leave, although I didn't because the owner refused to refund my money. The house directly across the street appeared to be a drug house as we witnessed a lot of traffic and short visits. One bedroom closet was locked and my brother and his wife had nowhere to hang their clothes and the owner suggested to hang the clothes in the master bedroom, which had 2 closets. I was told that I'm going through closets and drawers of a house that's not mine. The shower/tub upstairs squeeks really bad as your standing in it. By far our worst rental experience ever. There were 6 of us. He offered to have January the cleaning lady wash dishes, but who wants a stranger around who you don't know or can trust. I still have text of our conversations, he was extremely rude! I strongly recommend to NEVER stay at a propery owned by this owner

Our stay began early evening of October 27!
Enjoyed having our children together in one location, even for a brief visit!
We visited several local restaurants, multiple sites, and tons of fun stops!
Did not take full advantage of enjoying the balcony views of the city. But, we did have a lovely time enjoying the back porch deck! The weather in NOLA was simply lovely!
We dined in one evening and found almost everything we needed (except a butcher knife), the appliances were very accommodating.
I would love to have had a walkthrough checklist upon arrival and departure to ensure accurate checkout issues (would be a helpful tool to Owner & Renters).
Thank you Jason for being our Host!
We look forward to a return visit!

We love New Orleans and really enjoyed our stay on Josephine St.
The house is large with 2 living areas and a large kitchen. The bedrooms were well appointed and we had everything we needed. Some reviewers have dinged the listing for the neighborhood, but we found everyone to be exceedingly kind and had no trouble whatsoever.
This was a great place to stay and we would do so again given the opportunity. Thank you to all involved with our stay and to the great city of New Orleans.

Visited New Orleans with family who hadn't been together in a few years. The house was fantastic. Newly renovated. Slept six adults comfortably with loads of room. Jason was very responsive to questions. Met a few neighbors and everyone was very friendly, welcomed us. Parking at the house is limited to the street. We had three small cars and had room but it was tight. Pro tip for getting around town...go to Walgreens, get a Jazzy Pass, and catch the trolley just up the road to get to downtown. It's a short walk to St Charles Street from the house (7 blocks) to catch the trolley, but it was worth it. A $3 Jazzy Pass got us on all trolleys and busses for 24 hours...super easy. The LePass app was easy to figure out the trolley schedule. Parking downtown can get expensive.

It was easy to communicate with the owner and he responded back to questions we had very quickly. We enjoyed our stay and will go back again.

Traveling with 5 adults. This home is beautiful as soon as you walk up. It is easy to access and get to and from. The home is a short Uber/Lyft away from the French quarter or the garden district. The red couch in the front living room is soooo comfortable along with all the beds. It was cold when we traveled but would love to go back so we can enjoy the balcony and the back patio. This home is located within walking distance of Super Sunday we unfortunately found out to late and didn’t get to see all the glamorous costumes and the parade.

Amazing place and great location for the Mardi Gras Parades!! House was very clean and organized. Jason was very helpful and responsive to our needs during our stay! Will definitely be back here again!

Our weekend started with being allowed to check in early, and finished with a last minute dash to the airport. Everything in between was awesome!! The property was clean and very comfortable, a great layout and terrific location. We walked to the French Quarter and parade routes and even to the casino. When we did t want to walk Uber was very responsive. At first glance neighborhood is in a transition but none of us ever felt unsafe. Would rebook again on our return trip.

We visited New Orleans for the New Years weekend and we had the best time. The Host, Jason, was very easy to communicate with and responded very quickly. The house was perfect for our needs. We had 6 adults and it was great. I can't say enough how perfect it was for us. Just a short Uber ride to Magazine street or if you wanted your exercise you can walk, only about 1 mile. Everything was a short Uber ride away. We went to Bourbon street a few times and it was not a bad Uber ride at all. Again, this house was great. Would stay there again!

The house was very pleasant on the inside however it was not in the best neighborhood but I was in a big group and felt safe. The check-in and check-out process was not very clear. It was a short drive to all the main areas in the city. I would definitely stay again! The host was very accommodating and responded very quickly.
