The house is great and so is the location. It has plenty of room and amenities that others don't. You will not be disappointed. Beds could use a new mattress soon but still comfortable. The view from the top deck is awesome!

I'm very disappointed in this property. This property was built in 2012 and the pictures on silver sands website must be from day 1. This property is in need of upgrading from the property owner, especially the separate apartment next to the garage. The furnishings were old looking and mattresses were in terrible condition. The pillows, linen and blankets were old looking, probably never replaced since 2012. It smelled terrible the first day we were there.
I must have called silver sands 10 times that first day we were there. First, the A/C was not cooling in that apartment room. Also in that apartment room, no linen was available. The mattresses were old and springs sticking out. Roaches were seen. Smelled terrible. In the main house, bunk beds squeaked terrible. Kitchen pots and pans were highly used. There was an old pool table/ping pong table in the garage, but unusable because pool balls missing, cue sticks broken and no ping pong balls. (We wouldn't have used them anyway).
The house and the service we received was not what we were used to from silver sands. We have used silver sands for many years and never had a problem until this place. We will never stay at this place again, and will really think twice before renting from silver sands again.

We have been going to north Padre and port Aransas for over 10 years and this was the best place Everything was awesome More than what we expected everything was excellent clean and close to everything and loved having the golf cart. We stayed in the apartment down stairs everything was awesome the only thing I would would suggest is that y'all add or update the air conditioner luck we had an extra fan. Other than that we will be back next year.

This review is for both the unit and cart rental.
Overall, we had a good experience, but there were some issues:
Cart- lock box to get key didn't work (didn't work for neighbor either); called SS, pushed to after hours number- 2 messages and text never got a reply), parking brake didn't work, cart in decent condition (slow and canopy was oddly loud/squeaky)
Unit- lower unit lock didn't work (wouldn't stay locked?), pool table missing a ball (not a big deal, but what's the point?), only a single kitchen towel?, upstairs sofa was in rough condition (I shouldn't be able to feel the frame), kitchen ice maker wasn't working.
That said, good views, good location and family still had fun. Thanks

We had two elderly people with us that had to cut there vacation short along with the folks that had to take em home. We had the elevator go out on us, we called at 11am and was told we were on the priority list to have someone come out, called back at 3:30pm and was told someone would be there soon. After waiting all day at the house called emergency at 8pm just for them to say they couldn't get someone out there till early morning. Called back at 9pm that same night due to the AC going out, someone came out and blew out the drain and recharged it. The next day I had to call again for the elevator since no one came early morning, this time someone was out within 10 mins, fixed it within 5 mins. We got to go out that day and have a little fun upon returning the elevator was out again this time we were fed up with bringing the elderly people up and down the stairs the previous times, we didn't want to wait another day for it to be fixed, so they decided to go home. Later on that night around 6:30pm we had to call again for the AC to be repaired, they came out and repaired it. There were tons of nails and rusted razor blades due to the repairs they did from the roof decking they must of missed taking a magnetic device to the ground we cleaned it up didn't want any accidents from us walking barefoot coming from the pool/beach. The 3 sofa bed mattresses need to be replaced downstairs in the apartment springs are showing, couldn't sleep on them, I could go on with all the problems we encountered. I really think this house needs to go through a major renovation. For the price we payed for this unit was definitely not worth it. I really feel for the next elderly folks that have to rent this unit, hopefully they'll have help getting up and down the stairs. Please take off that you have an elevator in this house until the issue has been fixed. Very disappointed. 1 star rating for the view on top deck

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. It is 3 stories so the elevator being broken right when we got there did not help the load in. We called management and they said it would be the next day to get it fixed. 4 days later nobody had come to look at it. Same with the microwave. Same with multiple outlets in the house that did not work. The first picture you see on the listing is this amazing view from the rooftop deck. The door to this deck was locked with a key they could not find. Management told us it was reserved only for the owners, but then someone else from the management company eventually found the key and opened it. In the check in, there were no instructions on where the key to the golf cart was so an additional call to the management company. We felt bad they knew us so well but literally things kept breaking. The kitchen cookware is extremely inadequate for a house this big where you anticipate cooking family meals. I feel like the majority of the issues with our stay were solely on the property management company and not the owner. I hope this review reaches the owner so they can make appropriate changes because this property is a really cool one in the Village Walk community.

Location was good. House was nicely decorated. Booked this home because of location, price, and the fact that it came with a golf cart... all of which met our expectations. During booking, there was concern for the fact that it was 3 stories (had an elderly person in our group) but the fact that we could pay $250 to use the elevator diminished that issue at the time of booking. 12 hours into our 3 night/4 day stay, the elevator broke and did not work for the rest of the trip. This caused a great deal of agony for us... $250 down the drain also. The internet in the home does not work. It allows connection but has no service... this was tested by many personal devices and also, the array of TVs throughout the home not connected to cable, do not work for this reason. The 3rd floor TV and the apartment TV on ground level did have cable. The master bedroom is warmer then the entire house. Overall, our group enjoyed Port Aransas, however given that we stay in rentals 3 to 4x each summer in Port Aransas, this rental was not one of our favorites. Silversands could have at least offered our $250 back out of courtesy, but that has not happened. Actually there was no additional correspondence regarding the elevator except the maintenance man saying that he would need to call the actual elevator company and then we never heard another word. I have had some negative interactions with Silversands prior to this as well and for a year or 2 tried avoiding their properties, but reality is, they are huge and hold the keys to MANY Port A properties.

We came in for Sand Fest & It did not disappoint. Port A Paradise did have some issues tho..... It started when the deadbolt would not remain unlocked. We got locked out several times the first evening/night we were there. They did come take the batteries out the next day & provided a key so we could lock up when we left. Next the microwave was broken, but they said it wasn't going to be replaced. Then we were in the downstairs bathroom and water started leaking out of the light fixtures onto the sink area. We reported it and they came to look, but that was the last we heard about it and it continued to leak for the remainder of the weekend. Also, if you go up to the Crows Nest balcony, lean towards the house & don't lean on the railings.... they are both quite unstable. Overall, the home has a lot of potential and if a few things were updated/fixed I would definitely come back 😁

Listing was accurate, house was clean and inviting. We stayed busy but the spacious kitchen/living room was nice to cook while visiting. The top deck was a favorite. Watching the sunrise on the balcony was nice too. We would recommend.

First impression was good. Golf cart was in the driveway when we arrived, easy checkin, view on the roof was great. The oven and microwave weren't working. I called and someone came quickly to check the breaker. This fixed the microwave, but not the oven. Oven never would warm up correctly. The microwave quit working a second time. The water filter on the fridge did not work and the shelves were falling apart inside of it too. There was one dish towel and zero dish clothes to do dishes with. My family who stayed on the first floor were not happy at all, especially for the price we paid for this place. There was a major roach problem. We ended up not being able to eat anything downstairs. They carried their food up to the 3rd floor and had to keep it there. Once I went to brush my teeth and a roach crawled out of the little hole of my toothbrush cover with my toothbrush still inside. So disgusting.
Water damage and continuous leaks and puddles from the ceiling and floor during our stay. This was bad and we had to move our preschool age son to sleep with other kids on the second level because he developed a cough during our stay, and I believe it’s due to the wet conditions on the first floor. There were two puddles, a third that started forming as the ceiling above the fold out couch, where our son was sleeping, began to leak. We did call to let the company know. They stated they were on their way but never showed up. They did nothing about our situation. For the high prices they charge, they do not satisfy the cost in any way.
The downstairs bed is very loose, unstable, and uncomfortable. Obviously, this is not news to the management company because there is a plaster area on the wall where the headboard touches the wall when you touch the bed, or simply sit on it. The fold out beds have large holes in the mattresses and if an adult sits in this mattress, as I did, the adult will fall through to the floor.
The bathtub faucet is rusted pretty bad. The shower is gross. The shower curtain fell on us. The pool table would have been cool if the cubes and sticks weren't all broken. The ping pong paddles are all broken as well.

Loved sharing the sunset on the top deck with the family and watching the waves with a full view of the water. The elevator was a must for the grandparents to be able to join the family on the various levels of the house. A big concern for the adults was the rather rickety appearance of the railing on the top deck. Was disappointed that a bed that had been described as folding in the middle from an older review was still there. All new sheets etc. but no extra blankets for the pull out beds. The "pools" were small and not convenient for our location. We were happy to have the golf cart handy along with one of our cars to drive to the beach and go back to the house to finish the day with a meal, games and deck time together. The nest time I rent I will not depend on pull out beds. Another important item:
The owner or someone needs to spray the house for roaches and water bugs. I didn't see any in our bedroom, but the adults sleeping in the family room/kitchen area saw them late at night.

Rating Details:The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless.I was very happy with the location.I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.Reviewer Comments:We loved the house, to be honest it looks better in person than in pictures, the views are excellent and no one bother us during our staying we really enjoyed it, the only issue we had is that the elevator doors were locked and we werent able to use it and the house is three floors high so it was really exhausting for us and the kids to go up and down, other than that we found it perfect

We had a great time; my husband and I and two of our daughters, my father, and both grandsons. The space was great, and all had a wonderful time making memories.
