I need an accomodation to get at 4:30 am easily to the ferry, therefore it was fine. I expect something simple and I got something simple.

The wifi signal was good. That's the only positive thing that comes to my mind. Okay there was a fridge and kettle.
The building is NOT where you would think it is according to booking.com, but in an alley off the road on the other side of the highway. Took my long time to find it. No signs either. Phone number posted on booking was not answered. An other number was finally answered after numurous tries.
Whe I finally got to the dilapidated building that was described to me, there was a slow, not unfriendly, but monosyllabic man, showing me a piece of paper with my name on it. The impression of the level of hygiene of the man was similar to the impression of the room. He was nog the host, but seemd to be some sort of caretaker. He had to phone to a lady for every single thing (which paper I should fill, which room he should give me, where the keys was, etc. Then it appeared that he did not have the key to the room he was giving me and argued about that with the lady on the phone. Foun d a bundle of spare keys and started trying them all on the room door. After finding a fitting key, asked me for a knife (!) to that key from the bundle. Alll this time I was waiting, swaety from walking around in circles to find the place and very annoyed.
I thought I finally had the room to myself, but the man came in to check the TV. A few minutes later again to check the microwave. I managed to convince him I didn't need either, because I wanted a little rest.
The dust bin containted someone elses rubish. There was a half filled water bottle on the table. Just if someone else was using the room, or the cleaging had not been finished?
The whole building needs lot of work, reconstruction and painting, it's a mess. There was no glass in the windows above the door, so I had to share the room with mosquitos and a big locust that was hopping and flying around.
After I came back from the shop, I wanted to shower. But there was NO RUNNING WATER! I washed my hands with bottled water. There was no-one to ask or complain.

my whole stay didn’t turn out the way I planned - it was even better! this place is really close to the ferry (so if you want to take the ferry, this is perfect) and the hosts, Ruby and Mervyn were incredible! They help out with everything, answered every question I had and you feel like they really want you to have the best time in Tobago!
4.0
The close proximity to the ferry.
Extra touches like soap, shampoo & conditioner; coffee, tea & water
It seems to be 2 rooms in a building site.
I stayed for two nights in January and the twin room was ok. This time round I stayed in a single bed room-it was not ok.
One sheet on bare thin mattress, on board, had to cover myself with a towel-did not want a blanket only on me, as they rarely get washed!
Bin not emptied, first towel I unraveled was dirty, floor wasn’t swept let alone washed. Fridge in another room hadn’t been cleaned-smelt of rotten food-had food in it!
I booked 11 days before but was not expected.
I had to go away & come back 2hours later-why? Room had not been cleaned.
Shower not pleasant loose plaster/cement, managed to get warm water trickling out of one side of the shower head.
Could not get tv to work!
Next to a dual carriageway.

the hosts especially Mr O’Neil is very helpful.
reasonable price.
the bathroom was no light at all when we checked in. after putting a lightbulb, when I having shower, we found out some construction debris clogging the drain, including a pointed nail. My husband had to clean up the trash himself.
very tiny room.
