It doesn’t look like much on the outside but it was a nice, clean, cheap room. I wouldn't suggest it for a family stay or vaction stop. But, if its a layover like me and my husband had its a good stop.

Felt unsafe, lots of drunk/stoned folks stumbling around, had to ask for soap, would not go back

Staff was unprofessional. Alot of ppl blocking stairwell to smoke weed, someone was outside my door all night talking on speaker keeping me up. Staff kept deposit because i wasted juice in the bed. I had no issues last time, but the 2nd and last time i will stay at this hotel. Also, the roaches started coming out the first night.

Hall was filthy and smelled like weed, elevator was filthy and safety license was expired, bathroom was very dim, roach found in bathroom, mirror was filthy

I like the new tvs and the bed and the fact that they had the plastic cover over the mattress

I was in town for work and spent 5 nights here. The staff was not overly welcoming, but they were friendly. The hallways were not clean and had an odor. The room, however, was clean and comfortable when I arrived, but it wasn't serviced during the entire stay. I did ask for a change of towels twice, they never came.

Staff was rude and couldt find my reservation, we waited 1:30 hours and contacted expedia three times to get the issue resolved.

Creepy clientele. Lobby had a plexiglass shield between the customers and the desk person locked by a broomstick handle. The rooms were OK clean but given that there are three equally priced alternatives within a 1 mile distance of this hotel I’d go elsewhere.

Walked in the front at 6:30am after driving all night. Had booked fri-sun so we could check in and get to sleep. Staff member was in the breakfast area when we looked at him he said "you really want a room??" Looked down shook his head and proceeded behind the counter. He looked at our reservation and stated well you had it booked for Friday we let him know we had been driving all night and wanted to check in to sleep. He said well your payment was declined. I said I elected to pay when I got here. He sighed was all sweaty and rude. The whole place was sketchy anyways so I said never mind cancel it and we will go somewhere else then walked out. Horrible service.

Checked in went sightseeing came back.. never went in room, shady characters outside, right off main highway didn't feel safe for two women traveling. Turned in keys, told Manager of things we witnessed in parking lot, he didn't seem to concerned because he also lived on site, however did say I'd be refunded....will be watching to see. Paid at hotel, not via app so should get a refund as room was never entered.

It was not the best

It was just something for the night which was perfect. Didnt like that i had to pay an additional $50 for a deposit & was told if i paid with a card itll have a hold on it. Other than that, it was worth what we paid.

I genuinely appreciate them accommodating me as a person who arrived to checkin at 2:30 am in the am after we missed our connected Greyhound Bus.

I mean…it’s a cheap hotel. Not much else to say. If you just need a bed, a shower, and a fridge, it’ll do, but a hidden gem it is not.

not a typical Red Lion you would expect. No hot breakfast, sign that tells you that you need a $50.00 refundable deposit IF all the towels and bed sheets are in the room and in good condition. No coffee pot in room, no iron & ironing board in room, clock and phone does not work. Can not take food in lobby to room. Upon check out, manage goes to your room to inspect before giving your deposit back.

The room was clean and the staff were nice, but the water to the toilet wasn’t turned on for some reason, and you had to shut your door with some force and double check to make sure it was actually closed. It seemed like it was a hotel that had a few people living there, but I never felt in danger or uncomfortable. McDonald’s was next door, and it was only $25 Uber drive to downtown St. Louis. Great affordable option for a one night stay right outside of the big city if you need an affordable hotel to catch a concert in St. Lois. It isn’t ideal for extended stays.

Shower curtain bar broken. Bath drain clogged with bandaid, hair. Linoleum floors. Fire alarm went off in middle of night for no reason. Breakfast promised, but only pop tarts, white bread, and fruity pebbles cereal offered. No one bothered to change sheets or towels on our 2 day stay. Bed was comfortable.

Horrible dirty room roaches crawling around. Sheets had a hole in it with Yellow stains on the Sheets, hair and dirt. Everything all over the blankets, the room smelt like urine. The hallway was dirty smelly and the guy that was in the front was very rude. Y'all need to take him off of Expedia that hotel does not need to be up there. That was the worst hotel i'm

We were supposed to have free continental breakfast in the morning, but we only had white bread, pop tarts, and coffee. They accused me of stealing a towel and then claimed they found it.

They had maintenance issues. We had to go to Motel 6 and redroof paid for it. But then Motel 6 had issues getting us a room to. Door keys failed for 24 hours!!

The hotel was supposed to be smoke free but the smell of weed was strong as soon as you walked in. Issues in room needed fixing. Not as nice as I was hoping.

It can be tempting to save a little cash and bargain hunt, but save yourself the grief and find a better (if pricier) hotel. After a long road trip, I pulled up to the hotel at 11:00 PM. The first warning sign was a front entrance that required me to be “buzzed in” by someone working the desk. Once I got inside, I was assailed by the smell of marijuana and cigarette smoke. The service was slow (but courteous), and I eventually got my room key. On my way to the room, I noticed that giant rolled up tarps took up nearly every free space in the hotel and that a number of children were roaming freely (and loudly) throughout the establishment. Odd, but I proceeded. I got to my room and unlocked it, and I was met with horror. The room stank of unwashed bodies and more smoke. The bed was made but had an odd, lint-like residue all over it. The walls were paper thin, and I could hear everything (including the incessant herd of children) through the entire night. Perhaps the worst thing about the room was the lingering stench on the pillows. They smelled like a moldering gym bag. In short, the room was awful.
Equally awful was the location. After drifting off to sleep, I heard loud verbal altercations in the parking lot and genuinely feared that I was in a location where violence could break out. In total, I got three hours of sleep. After trying in vain, I got up at 5:30 AM, showered (the shower was fine), and checked out—even though I had the room booked for two more days.

the hotel overall appearance was nothing fancy , cheap price so it was really run down looking. The walls were paper thin, we were on the 1st floor and above us was a bunch of kids that were constantly running back and forth all day and all night the entire time we were in the room. The hotel staff weren't very friendly made me feel like checking in and asking for extra linens was an inconvenience. The side security doors didn't lock. The room air/heat unit didn't work properly

The hallway smelled like weedbeing smoked and cigarette smoke. I had a non smoking room. The bed was clean but the carpet in the hallway looked old and dingy. They should not advertise breakfast because it was just cereal and bread and coffe NOT even juice. The service was fine and employees were nice but the hotel could use updates.
