About this house rental
Cliffside Casa at Silverpick was remodeled in 2020 with all new furnishings in 2022. This great mountain escape has an open floorplan downstairs, with a large fully equipped kitchen (with crockpot and blender), wood burning fireplace and large private deck with amazing mountain views, and separate seating area under the trees. The townhome offers a washer/dryer, WI-FI, Smart TV's for streaming, cute coffee bar, deck with grill and seating, and office workspace with monitor, printer, keyboard and mouse. There is also a PlayStation 3 console and games for guests to enjoy. Given its proximity to Highway 550 and paved access, 4WD is not required in winter. There are 2 parking spaces at the condo. Guests are welcome to use the 2 cruiser bikes in the equipment storage section of the garage! The owners also added 3 portable wall-vented AC units - these are not window units, so you still have full use of all windows for cool mountain air and incredible views! There is one in each bedroom and one in the main living space.

AMENITIES: The property has a shared hot tub, playground, and hiking. You can also walk or bike the 0.3-mile dirt road from the condo to the Nugget Mountain Bar - they have a food truck and indoor/outdoor seating with firepits. In the summer, they also feature live music! In the summer, a bike ride to the ski resort would be easy, too.
LOCATION: Silverpick sits at appx 8800 feet in elevation. It borders the National Forest and is about halfway between the historic towns of Durango and Silverton. This prime location is just 1 mile from Purgatory Ski Resort's entrance and approximately 25 minutes from downtown Durango, with scenic drives up to Silverton and Ouray. Enjoy both quiet privacy and the incomparable Needles Mountain views from this townhome, while being close enough to the action of Purgatory Resort where you can enjoy a variety of restaurants, winter and summer activities, and festivals/events.
PETS: This home is pet friendly! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs max and the pet fee is $40/day (for a max $250 per stay). Pets must be crated if they are left home alone.
There is a Ring spotlight camera over the front door - lights will turn on with motion.
Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

This place is absolutely beautiful and feels very much like staying in a home rather than a rental.

The condo was comfortable and perfect for our ski vacation. We really enjoyed the wood stove and appreciated the ample supply of wood. The kitchen is also very well equipped. The wifi was great with no drop outs and strong signal throughout the home. The streaming options on the tv were also great.
There were only two things we noted that could be improved. One is that we found some items such as utensils, coffee pot, dog bowls, etc. weren’t completely clean. This is likely due to the dishwasher not doing a great job. The other issue was that snow removal around the property isn’t great and we had to do more shoveling than is typical in our experience at ski condos. These are relatively minor inconveniences however and didn’t detract from our enjoyment of the stay.

This is a beautiful, clean and well stocked mountain home. The kitchen had everything you would need to prepare meals including a fun coffee area. The 3 king beds (one bunk bed) was comfortable with nice pillows and blankets. The washer and dryer was available for guest use. We did not use the fireplace nor the hot tub but both appeared to be very nice. We felt safe staying here and the views of the mountains were great. This is a fun place to stay if you are visiting Durango but you don’t want to stay in town. We would definitely stay here again!

The house was very comfortable and super clean. The kitchen was well stocked including basic spices, storage containers, cleaning supplies and everything you would need to make meals, plus a nice dishwasher. I enjoyed using the large copper kitchen sink. The beds were comfortable with nice sheets and pillows. The three bathrooms were spacious and well stocked including nice towels. We did not use the fireplace or the hot tub but both appeared to be very nice. This is a great location between Durango and Silverton. There are some small lakes nearby as well as a convenience store and gas station. The large TV’s were a nice touch as well as the coffee station. We would definitely stay here again in the future!

Perfect location for a short family getaway; appointed with all the right amenities and space for a visit to the mountains. Loved the corner unit and made it easy to park our truck with UTV. From the ease of access to the communication with the property this was a wonderful place!

The condo was perfect for our group. It looks even better than the pictures. It had everything we needed. The bunk bedroom is huge! Our family would definitely recommend and would stay here again. We came in the summer but would be an amazing location for winter and skiing. We walked to the Nugget twice for lunch. My kids loved the trails for hiking right behind the complex. We sat out on the patio every evening. Highly recommend!

We go 4 Wheeling every summer and this year we needed to take our dogs with us, so we came across this gem. We normally stay at a different place up the road from the silverpick but they do not allow pets. Their loss our gain as this place is much newer and very well equipped. Plenty of room and close to everything we do. The price was very comparable and the townhouse was very spacious unlike other places we have stayed. We will book again in the future. The management company was very easy to work with and very good about keeping in touch with us, very nice to have good channel of communication.

We loved our stay here. Very close to Purgatory ski resort and a wonderfully quiet area. You could see all the stars at night! The house had everything you could want as far as kitchen appliances and amenities as well as comforts throughout. We will definitely look to stay here again.

Our stay at Silverpik was outstanding. The condo across from the lodge was perfect for the wedding festivities of my daughter's college roommate. We were close by but could escape to our beautiful and quiet accommodations. I have one suggestion. The morning sunrise was spoiled by the dirt and grime on the sliding doors to the deck. I would have cleaned them myself but we were too busy with wedding jobs. Otherwise everything was perfect.

From start to finish the experience was wonderful. 5 stars in every category.This is our 2nd stay on this property because of the proximity and ease to Purgatory. Property inside and out is well maintained....including daily snow clearing methods AND they even cleared off the front porch and back patio of the snow each day. Amenities: had everything we needed. Nice touch was the availability of a computer and printer, a book about Durango, and the detailed, easy to understand property instructions (some rental properties are not as thorough.) Owner and manager were prompted with any questions we had. We definitely recommend this location to those wishing a close location to Purgatory, beautiful scenery, pet friendly, many amenities, and a clean well maintained property. Restaurant locations are few but can be found and accessed easily. Durango and Silverton are pretty much equal distances from each other in this location. The drive to Silverton is worth is a lovely drive. See you next ski season 2024.

This is a very nicely appointed condo. It is really well decorated, very comfortable and has lots of nice touches (and everything we needed). I loved the king sized bunk beds and the kitchen is fabulous!
I'm a very light sleeper and the heaters make a bit of noise so we had to turn the thermostats down at night -- otherwise this was a perfect stay.
