We had 12 adults stay comfortably without needing to use the above garage bedroom. We were able to easily rent a pontoon boat and explored the lake. Many very cool houses to look at. We also went to the Slyvan wine cellar and it had a great outdoor space and good drinks. House was well stocked with everything we needed.

We had a great week on Sylvan Lake. The house was the cleanest we've stayed at so far, with more than enough space for our group. We enjoyed the lake, and the town, walking the path to get ice cream was a highlight for the kids. We would definitely stay here again!

We loved staying at this lovely home in Rome City. Courtney was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The home accommodated our family of 20 for the second year. The kitchen is large and well furnished. We also really appreciated the second refrigerator in the garage. There are enough beds for everyone and four bathrooms is a real plus. The older kids like having their own space above the garage.
We love Sylvan Lake and enjoyed tubing, wakeboarding, and skiing all week. We visited the Jean Stratton Porter home and explored the Big Island on foot. We played board games, did puzzles and enjoyed great meals together. Large tables both inside and out worked well for our family meals. The firepit was also a wonderful gathering space.
The only downside to this property is a small backyard that is on a bit of an incline. But we still managed to play cornhole and spike ball!
Thank you, Courtney, for sharing your home with us and for helping us with any needed details. You went out of your way to be helpful and we really appreciated it!!

It was a lovely set up with plenty of rooms. We had some great discussions in the big living room and the ladies loved the many places to sit outside. We had a wide age range for this retreat and somethings were harder for our older ladies to manage. All the bedrooms and all but one bathroom not on the main floor was tricky, as was all the steps to get supplies in and out. The garage fridge was very helpful. The large well lit kitchen was nice but for our purposes it was a little too close to the living room where we were trying to have discussions. I received so many compliments from the attendees that it was so beautiful and relaxing. Some even got up with the sunrise to enjoy to view together.

It was a great place to connect with friends and our families. Love the location on the water and the rooms accommodated our large group. We were able to rent a pontoon and pull it right up to the house as well as enjoy the lake. Great firepit and scenery.

Absolutely loved our week at this lake home. It had Everything it promised. This lake is definitely a hidden Indiana gem! Loved the location of the home, the outside space, and the pier and water space.

Plenty of rooms and beds for our group of 16. Loved the bonus room above the garage. Ample seating both indoors and outdoors for meals together, watching movies and playing games. Kitchen was well stocked. The lake and outdoor space was beautiful. Quick responses to our questions leading up to the trip and during our stay. The owners did warn us that the patio pavers were loose- they were quite loose and a falling hazard around the edges. Also could not get the indoor fireplace to work. These were minor issues. Otherwise a perfect stay. Would love to return when the weather is warmer so we can enjoy the lake.

Great Place- Clean and Ready to use. Grilled Steaks for 14 people, beds were plentiful, played family games at large dining table. Were able to strategically Park 4 Midsize SUVs and 3 sedan cars. Lake was frozen- so we couldnt enjoy that- but patio had plenty of seating. Would definately stay here again.

This was a terrific place for an extended family of 20 to gather for Thanksgiving. Not only were the lots of options for sleeping arrangements (and multiple bathrooms), but the house was superbly stocked for all our needs in the kitchen, as well as with linens and bedding. It was obvious that the hosts had put a lot of thought into anticipating needs for a group like ours. It was also very, very clean. We didn't make much use of the lakefront because of the weather, but the views were great as well -- without being too far from essential groceries or restaurants. Very helpful, welcoming, and responsive communications with our host. We've stayed in many short-term rental properties, and this was easily one of the best.
