We hope you will enjoy our rural and cozy home on the river as much as we do! We frequently see all kinds of wildlife on our property, which is a huge part of our love for the area. It is not uncommon to see rabbits, deer, snakes, mosquitos (and all other types of insects), lizards, spiders, possums, frogs, and maybe even a raccoon or two. If any of this makes you uncomfortable, we recommend finding accommodations elsewhere :).
This is an older home with all the quirks of an older home. We love our house and have devoted ourselves to making it clean, comfortable, and unique for our guests. If you are looking for a brand new luxury experience, our home might not be for you.
We require a signed rental agreement and for guest to be 25 years of age to book.
If you notify us of your intent to cancel prior to the lapse of the free cancellation period, we will return 97% of your payment. The other 3% will already have been collected by the credit card processing company, and we have no way to return that portion of the payment.
We are a pet friendly home. Pets must be crated when they are left unattended in the home. We do not allow pets on furniture or beds, and all waste must be cleaned up from the yard. All pets require a non-refundable pet fee. If there is evidence of pet hair on the furniture, excess hair in the home, stains, or waste found in the yard or home, you will be charged the cost to clean this. In the event that a security deposit is collected, we will retain all or part of the security deposit to cover any costs associated with additional cleaning due to pets.

The property was quiet. The only improvement is the thermostat. Sometimes the house would get warm, but it probably had a lot to do with I did not know how to use that type of thermostat. I had never seen that thermostat before.

Size was nice, but the promotion of the patio, dock, etc. was not what was expected. It was pretty rough. There was no gas for the grill, the TVs had no channels, the kitchen had no dish towels, spatulas, pitchers. Older couple could not shower as the upstairs tub was too deep, the downstairs was to hard to access. We did have enough space for 6 adults and loved the kitchen window overlooking the back yard.

We loved everything about the property...no complaints

We were in town for a funeral and we’re all relieved to arrive after 10+ hours of driving.
Pros: The location was quiet, clean and the beds were comfortable. Check in went smoothly, though I wasn’t thrilled with their insistence that I send them a selfie of me holding my ID after they’d already charged my card.
Cons: while the entire place was very clean, the basement area reeked of very strong bleach smell. The one person that slept down there the first night ended up getting nausea and slept on the floor upstairs the next night. The only bathroom upstairs can only be accessed by passing through one of the two primary bedrooms. One door between the bathroom and bedroom is a folding door and has clear glass through which the people in the bedroom can clearly see anyone in the bathroom. I highly recommend that these doors be replaced or altered to increase the privacy element. The refrigerator wasn’t making ice so bring your own if necessary.

The house was very clean and well decorated. But the beds and how comfortable they were was the best part of our stay.

Did not feel the property had been properly set up for renters. Door lock presented a problem that resulted in a call to mgt. Icemaker not working resulting in a call to mgt and was told it was disconnected due to a known leaking issue that was not addressed nor disclosed in the listing info. No ice cube trays provided. Area rug in living room presents a tripping hazard due to worn and curled edges. Beds on main floor uncomfortable for sleeping due to heavy duty plastic mattress covers with no padding between plastic cover and thin sheets. Areas of carpet very dirty. Pot and bowl put up dirty. Need better supply of cooking pots and pans, particularly skillets. No renter manual present to give info such as TV usuage, etc. No access to main floor bedroom closet for use due to it being locked. The other main floor bedroom closet was available but the floor space was taken up with a large footstool, upright vaccum leaving no access for use by the renter. Outdoor furnishings in need of attention and cleaning.. Overall, the outdoor area needs attention in upkeeping and maintenance. This rental could be a charming cottage but currently lacks in owner/management care, interior and exterior, that would make it a welcoming environment.

This property is not a bad stay. The house was clean and there is plenty of parking. The issue here is the management company. We were locked out of the house for almost 3 hours at night and the company was inefficient at solving the problem. Communication with the company was also very inconsistent. I would be wary of renting from this company.
