About this villa rental

Casa Mariluna, is a beautiful three bedroom Villa situated just above the beach on the quiet north end of lovely Sayulita Bay. The house was architect designed in the classic Mexican Colonial style with an artistic touch.
Mariluna is a spacious, elegant but comfortable home with all the modern conveniences. It has exceptional beach, mountain and ocean views. Sunsets can be spectacular from this side of the bay. It is an easy two minute walk down the cobbled driveway to the palm lined beach just below.
Casa Mariluna has fantastic views of the ocean and Sayulita Bay from all rooms. The home features a large pool which lies partly within the house overlooking the ocean and gardens below. Mariluna accommodates six adults comfortably, (one bedroom can be converted into two twins). The Casita below the pool patio can be rented also which will accommodate two more people making the house four bedrooms. Also, Templito, my second two bedroom house just below can also be rented making a total of six bedrooms. All three properties can accommodate a total of 12 people or any combination therein.
Car rentals, taxi service, ATV's and golf carts are all available to rent in town.
It is about a 15 minute leisurely walk along the coconut palm lined beach to the lively town center, interesting shops, and many fine and varied restaurants, or you can walk along the paved road, a mere 10 minutes to the first restaurants, shops, and fist of two surf breaks. A trail head starts here that goes through the jungle to a pristine undeveloped beach. You can also hike on to San Pancho the next town north.
You enter Mariluna through a large walled entrance into a classic portico presenting you to the central fountain area which is surrounded by the beautifully arched columns of the open living room and dining area. Expansive ocean and bay views lie before you.
There is a queen size bedroom and bath next to the pool and two larger king size bedrooms on the opposite side of the house. All bedrooms have ensuite tiled bathrooms, plus there is a fourth marble bathroom off the pool. One of the large bedrooms with a king size bed can be converted to two twin beds.
A staircase winds around a black flagstone tower waterfall to the upper bedroom. All bedrooms have air conditioning, fans, safes and fantastic views.
Iris, the property manager who speaks both English and Spanish fluently can can arrange catered meals of delicious local cuisine, arrange airport pickup, massages at the house, golf cart rentals, fishing trips or any other activity you wish to enjoy.
A whole house water purification has been recently been installed.
Beach chairs, umbrellas and towel provided.
Casa Mariluna is a tranquil, elegant yet comfortable, spacious retreat where body and soul can listen to and watch the ocean waves, the whales and dolphins, exotic jungle and sea birds, and be awed by magnificent sunsets. Casa Mariluna is a great property with an excellent location. The pool and views of the ocean are outstanding. The house had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. The property manager is Iris and she is wonderful. Iris is easy to work with and a great help in setting up transportation, chef dinner and massages in the house. Highly recommended this property.

6 adults stayed 5 nights….wish we could’ve added another week! Beautiful property with helpful housekeeping and grounds personal to make sure we had all we needed. Location was peaceful without neighborly noise. Only sounds you’ll hear are the ocean waves breaking on the shoreline. Brief 15 minute walk into downtown, or do as we did and just rent a golf cart. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again or recommend this property to others. Gracious property owner checked in with us as well.

The property is fantastic. We had some issues at first with the appliances, but they were quickly dealt with. Because of the open air living room, we rarely felt the need to leave. The water fountain and the water wall were exceptional. We had a wonderful stay.

We had a wonderful stay. The home is everything you could want. Iris, the property manager was available, attentive and delightful. Berte, our houskeeper, did a great job and was so pleasant. Next time, we’ll probably rent a golf cart. After a few margaritas, the walk home from dinner seemed much longer than the walk in. Overall definitely 5 stars- Highest recommendation!

Me and my husband and two other couples stayed here from 9-10-16 to 9-17-16. The house is as beautiful as the pictures show, and the open-air concept of the living area/pool area is wonderful! There was an amazing thunder and lightening storm one night and it was spectacular to sit in the living room and watch and hear it. The pool is gorgeous and it was really refreshing after a day of shopping in town. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortably air-conditioned. We rented a golf cart to go into town, but it was also easily walkable. Iris was there to greet us and was very accommodating, and we had Ramon pick us up at the airport and take us back the day we left. We also had him take us into Puerto Vallarta for an excursion one day. He was very friendly and charged reasonable rates for transportation. The house came with a cell phone so we could easily call either Iris and/or Ramon and they were very responsive and helpful. Berta came every day and cleaned for us. She was very friendly while also giving us privacy, which was really nice. We had one of the best pasta meals we've ever had at Mamma Mia. Mary's was also great and of course, ChocoBanana had wonderful breakfasts! We LOVED Sayulita and will definitely be back and wouldn't hesitate to book Casa Mariluna again. I highly recommend it! This rental property was everything & more. The pictures don't do it justice. It is way more beautiful than we ever imagined. The house was neat & clean. Everyone was so nice & accomadating too. Thank you so much Iris for coordinating everything we needed & going out of your way for us! We really appreciate it. We had an amazing vacation/wedding celebration this weekend! We definitely want to come back sometime soon!

Just back from a week at Casa Mariluna and we were very pleased. I can say this is BY FAR the most beautiful VRBO I have ever rented. The three en suite bedrooms were ideal for our traveling party of three married couples. Each room has an ocean view and we could hear the waves at night. Quiet, peaceful, incredibly clean, and well appointed. Great staff and lots of help with questions/transportation/etc. We felt very safe and had everything we needed to enjoy a long week on the Riviera. I'd absolutely recommend this home and would stay here again.

There is always a degree of risk when you rent 'unseen' house - photos can play tricks on you...not on this occasion. This place looks even better than what you can see on site. Hidden in a nice part of the town and very safe. Nicely decorated and the beach is beautiful. Staff and Andrea the owner pleasure to be in touch with. We had a great time at Casa Mariluna. The home is beautiful and provides everything you need to relax and enjoy yourselves. Its nice to have a golf cart as the walk to town gets a bit tiring day after day. Sayulita is a lovely town with lots to offer and feels very safe. We've been coming to Sayulita for nearly 25 years and how the town has changed! I have to say the 'North End' is where you want to be and this house is the just amazing. Everything was top notch, the house manager's and her daughter were incredibly helpful. The beach out front was beautiful and much nicer than further south towards the town. We would recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful spot to take their family and/or friends. We will rent this place again!

I have been to various places in Mexico and this home in Sayulita was by far my favourite! The house is absolutely amazing with a drop dead gorgeous view of the ocean and sunset! It is easy to walk everywhere from this house and the walk on the beach is beautiful. The rooms are all extremely comfortable and have ocean view rooms that are amazing to wake up to. Both the owner and the property manager were extremely helpful with making our trip the best it could be, including helping us book excursions as well as even setting up personal chefs to come to the home and cook an amazing meal. I would highly recommend this house for an incredible experience and vacation.

My three daughters and I visited Sayulita and stayed at Casa Mariluna for 4 nights beginning Sept 5th 2013. The house is exceptional! It is well maintained, well equipped with all necessary appliances, and beautifully/tastefully decorated. We were welcomed by a very friendly property manager, house keeper and gardener. The views are spectacular and the house is every bit as special as the photos indicate. I do suggest packing insect repellent in your suitcase. Thank you to Andrea for offering this little piece of heaven in Sayulita!

I procrastinated writing this review, as I kinda wanted to keep news of Casa Mariluna to myself lol. I've stayed at many houses in Sayulita, and I believe this has the best combination: close enough, yet away from the town center, close to beach and not up a hill to walk yet with a great view; great amenities and beautiful, tasteful decor (down to the bathroom soap dishes). Andrea's staff does a terrific job without being intrusive. I will undoubtedly make this my annual winter Sayulita retreat home.
