About this house rental
Located perfectly at the end of 11th st in a quiet part of Arcata. Our home is just far enough from town center to benefit from plenty of piece and quiet while still being able to get everywhere you need to go easily. Kids love playing ping pong in the garage, walking down the street on their own to the new playground or to the corner store for ice cream. Jaycie and I love lying in bed with the sliding door open so we can hear the rain fall on the roof of the covered patio We also love that from our door step it's a easy walk or bike ride to the Arcata Plaza, Wildlife Sanctuary, Cal Poly Humboldt, Local Restaurants and the Hammond Trail that now runs all the way north to Clam Beach.
We love the open kitchen, living and dining room floor plan with the surround fireplace located in the middle of it all.
Super comfortable beds, puffy pillows and high thread count sheets for a good nights sleep.
Washer and dryer and free high speed wifi are on site.
While we welcome well behaved pets it is important to note that our back yard is very small. Just big enough for the pups to do their business:-)

The property is well set up for a family vacation, with table tennis and foosball included. The house has a great 60's vibe, while also having been updated nicely. The house had everything we needed and is convenient to downtown Arcata. We would love to stay there again.

The house was great! We walked to dinner a couple times… Only a 10–15 minute walk to downtown Arcata. The neighborhood was quiet and the house was great. Beds were super comfy! There was no coffee, so I reached out. It was so nice that he dropped off filters and coffee for us! Wonderful communication! I will definitely stay here again

We were looking for a staycation feel away from home and this home was a great fit. We had everything we needed. Since we have a young kid, bedtime is early, so we're not concerned about being in the mix of downtown. There's a playground and small market on the corner. While there's no great view to relax to after kid bedtime, we were more interested in watching the Olympics and the tv provided that access. Would stay again!

Very clean house in a quiet neighborhood, convenient location, near Arcata center and the owner is super friendly and easy to communicate with. Lots of books, games for young kids (2 parks nearby) and teens (fooseball and ping pong!) Really enjoyed our stay!

The absolute convenience of this spot is perfect. There is a store right across street and a downtown area 5 minutes away. The house provided more than adequate necessities from a washer and dryer to comfortable beds, even a ping pong table for down time. An absolute amazing stay! Host was more then accommodating and responsive.

We really enjoy the McKinleyville area and love to visit with our dog. The house was clean and my dog loved the fenced yard. It was a quiet neighborhood and very close to Clam Beach and Hiller Park. The beds were comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed. We hope to rent this property again. Thanks for a relaxing stay!

This house was in the perfect location to explore the Redwoods and the Northern California Coast. It's an older home with plenty of yard in a very quiet neighborhood, minutes from Safeway and Starbucks, and easy driving to whatever we wanted to do. The owner was super responsive, the bed and the pillows were of good quality, and the kitchen had everything one might need. When we book again, we plan to stay longer!

We loved our day at Jason’s vacation rental. We shared it with my mom and 9 year old granddaughter along with our two Aussie mini dogs . They enjoyed some frisbee and catch in the back yard and we spent our days at the beach. I loved the nice bedding and comfy beds, thick, fluffy towels, the natural light in the home, nice cookware and kitchen. It has a large dining room table, two bathrooms and my granddaughter enjoyed the board games. Jason great at communicating and we would love to return one day!

Our family of 5 stayed here for several days while visiting the Redwoods and nearby beaches and coastal towns. We loved the extra pillows, blankets, fluffy towels, and cozy beds that made the home very comfortable. The kitchen and laundry room were well-stocked, which made a long stay with a family easy to manage. The keyed entry was easy to manage.

The home was clean and welcoming. The bedding was pristine, and the home was the perfect place to get ready for our friend’s wedding, nearby. My dogs were happy, running around the big backyard. Overall, a lovely experience. Thank you!

This house is absolutely perfect for anyone with kids and dogs!! The house was nicely spaced out, provided great necessity items and the owners were suuuuper helpful! I will DEFINITELY stay here again.
The only warning I would say is the couches are COMFY, but they do sit a little lower to the ground so my in-laws simetimes struggled to get up a little.

Our family stayed at this home while visiting the Redwood Parks and local beaches. The house is spacious, clean, and has a double yard that is perfect for kids to play. We enjoyed a couple bon fires in the backyard fire pit. The home provided fast access to the 101 Freeway, local beaches, grocery stores, parks, and is a short and scenic drive to the Redwood Parks. The host is friendly and responsive. We highly recommend this home.

Took a last minute family trip with our 2.5 YO and Dog up North. House is a cute little house, perfect for our needs. Kitchen had all the tools and gadgets we needed. Backyard was huge and perfect for our kid and dog to get some energy out.
Location of house is perfect for adventuring. Quick drives to multiple beaches and relatively quick drives to the Redwoods.

We had never stayed at a VRBO home and after this experience I can’t imagine not staying in one again. Jason was amazing with helping me book our stay and making sure we were as comfortable as could be. They had everything in the home we could of ever needed including toys that entertained our kids. It felt like home. Would 100% recommend staying here if you need a place to stay in the Humboldt county area! Thank you so much for making our experience a wonderful one especially with our kids. Hopefully we will be able to book this place again when we come to see family.
