Nice mini family vacation. Close to Waterbury and Stowe. Big kitchen if you want to cook your own meals. Very close to the lake. Beautiful views from house. House was clean. I recommend renting this place.

The location is fantastic. The views from the house are lovely, and it's quiet and peaceful. It would have been a great trip if we'd only been staying for a couple of nights, but we were there for 2 weeks. That's where the problems appear.
For starters, the bedrooms have practically no useable storage. That lovely chest of drawers pictured in the "master" bedroom photo -- it's fake. There are no drawers. The property is listed as sleeping 5, but only one person gets a bedside table and reading lamp. And while there is technically room for 5 people to sleep, only 4 people get to sit at the kitchen island to eat.
The main bathroom (as opposed to the laundry room that has a stall shower) is nice and there's plenty of hot water. But you practically need to climb over the toilet to get in and out of the tub. Heaven help anyone who comes with younger children that require assistance while taking a bath.
There are a number of ammenities included in the listing or shown in the pictures that were far from useful. For example, that lovely hammock in the yard is falling apart and unsafe to use. The fireplace in the living room doesn't work. I could go on, but there's a character limit to the review.
The biggest problem is the property manager. VACASA IS THE WORST. Completely unresponsive to texts that they invited, and when I spoke to a customer service rep, whose heavily accented English made him difficult to understand, he lied to me.

This house was lovely, secluded and quiet on a dirt road. The beds and furniture were comfortable. Don’t expect to be able to cook a meal without bringing your own cookware.

The home is exactly as pictured. It is an isolated home with a beautiful view. Exactly what we were looking for. It would be nice if they left kitchen items from previous renters - like cooking spray or take and toss containers, but that is not the end of the world. Overall, a very nice cabin with comfortable beds and a rain shower head that will make you want to swap out the shower head in your house as soon as you return home.

Overall, the home was ok. Views were amazing and the location provided peace and solitude. The space was clean.
Some issues that came up for us:
-One TV was broken and could not be hooked up;
-the full kitchen had very minimal cookware and no basic cooking items (no salt & pepper, no oil, no spices, etc) - I have stayed in many places with full kitchens and they all have had more in the way of basic kitchen staples. This is particularly important in a rural area where you need to drive 15 mins to get groceries.
-One of the chairs was so loose in nearly broke;
-there are no tissues, just toilet paper;
-one bathroom has outdoor brick as the floor, so it's being on the patio...inside..
So no massive problems, just several annoying/frustrating things that added up.
However, a more substantial issue - the heat in one of the rooms was broken (permanently on) and one guest had to sleep in the living room because the room was too hot, even with the window and door open. We tried to get Vacasa to fix it but they were not helpful. So maybe this aspect is more about the company that the home itself, but worth noting.
Overall, is the place fine? Yes. Does it have enough? Yes. Is the environment around the house beautiful? Yes. But does it have "the little things" that make the difference between "just ok" and "great"? In our experience, no.

We enjoyed our stay at Wolcott Wonder! The house is very nice and filled with the basics. The overall property is beautiful and overlooks the mountains to the west. The home is fairly remote, so you can truly enjoy the peaceful energy from the woods. The road to the home is off the beaten path, so be careful driving!
Two things we noticed about the house that could possibly use some updating were the bath towels and the pots/pans. The bath towels were very small and most of the pans were eroding, so we did not want to use them.
But, we enjoyed our stay regardless. Elmore and Morrisville were cute towns to explore and we visited Stowe frequently! Great food (highly recommend The Bench in Stowe), cute shops, walking paths, etc.

Although it was a little muddy and snowy to reach this hilltop home it was very clean and warm. The home seems very new and we enjoyed our visit. Close to town and nice hike 8 miles away on river with waterfalls

If you have 0 stars I will give you that for this property. I still having issues with refunds for this property. The cleaning was horrible, the kitchen items are totally outdated and some non functional. Very limited things to cook and the few pots and pans are so old and in bad shape that is a shame they keep them in the house, the ice maker was plug with big chunks of ice and once we opened the freezer it was ice all over the floor, coffee maker filter holder broken, refrigerator door did not close properly. The bathroom with the washer and dryer is a disaster, no light on the shower, the shower and I am a 5'2 did not fit me,if you turn you will hit the side is a clastrophobic shower if you can called it shower. We had some towels with dry blood stains, no lights between parking area and front door, they installed some cheap solar path lights that when we arrived at 9pm they were out already. The entrance and the driverway are very dangerous for people like us 65+, is all gravel and the entrance is slippery and the rocks will be uneven making it hard to transport the luggage,. To resume if you can find another property do it.

Lovely home, wonderful location. Elmore is a great town. Many hiking options within 20-30 miles. We loved it!

Very relaxing. House was clean and adequate. Could use some additional cooking/kitchen supplies. Maybe a light by garage/parking area.
Enjoyed ourselves, porch was appreciated on the rain day.

Great house on a lovely property! It was quiet and very clean. We loved sitting on the back deck enjoying the view (amazing sunsets) and the many windows were easy to open and let the fresh air in. Kitchen was also very nice and all appliances worked great- but be mindful that the fridge and pantry will be completely empty so don’t count on spices or condiments (not even salt). I personally didn’t mind it since I came mostly prepared and prefer a clean refrigerator- but be warned. Also make sure to pack measuring cups and spoons if you need them for cooking since that is one thing they didn’t have.
Overall great place!!

The home is nicely decorated with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay. We enjoyed exploring Vermont by day and cooking dinner at the home each evening, followed by a bonfire under the stars.

It was a lovely place to stay. It was within a hour of all of the major ATV trails and great location close to dining & local shops. The property is as expected, nicely decorated and very comfortable. We will be definitely coming back!

The home is absolutely lovely. Beautifully decorated. We were very comfortable. We chose this property because of it's proximity to our daughter's home in Morrisville. It was an easy drive back and forth. Under 15 minutes. Stowe is a few minutes more. THE VIEW! Spectacular mountain vistas. We really enjoyed that.
This was our first experience renting from a Vacasa managed property. We have rented through VRBO many, many times over the years. We were surprised to find that there were no kitchen basics - spices, foil, condiments and the like. It was not a problem, but it was different from past experiences, so we did not arrive prepared with those sort of items. Easily remedied with a trip to Hannaford.
Overall, the home was perfect. We will definitely return. Highly recommend.
