Fabulous hotel for our 4 night stay. The views of NYC and Empire State Building is phenomenal. Staff were extremely professional and accommodating. When delayed checking in by 1 hour they gave us a $150 credit to hotel bar and restaurant. Sky king chamber room 3505 empire view is perfect. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a great view. Will continue to stay here each visit to NYC. Attached is the view from 3505 in the three directions that can be seen from the windows.

Over hyped hotel. hotel is modern and contemporary but lacks luxury which is the hotel price point. Lobby feels like a travelodge. Service was slow, very laid back and nonchalant.. rooms were OK Mimimalist and basic, housekeeping service basic, the beds felt like a converted sofa bed with a large gap between mattress and headboard. A pop up Mariah Carey bar at the hotel was the worst evening experience I’ve been to…Chaotic, poorly managed and organised.

The hotel is Wonderfull.
The room wasnt ready yet when we arrived so the hotel credited us for $100 for lunch in the hotel.

Pretty decent hotel, the elevators are small and packed so sometimes you might have to catch the next one if you’re on one of the lower floors. Security isn’t great either since you don’t have to badge to ride the elevator so pretty much anyone can get on and go to any floor. The best part about this hotel is the location, I’d stay here again just because of that.

Amazing view from our room. Friendly helpful staff. Easy check in. Would definitely choose this hotel, again. Location is perfect for exploring and close to Penn Station

Okay, but a lot of self-service and not very posh. I think it is meant to be a hip style. Restaurant service is rather slow for breakfast.

Fantastic newish hotel in the heart of Manhattan. Has an elegant cool vibe. Great decor and interior design. Service was friendly. Only issue was slow elevator service! But overall a fine hotel.

Terrific hotel. Starting with Darnell at the front desk. Beautiful service, location, views and rooms. It even had a yoga mat in the room. Comfortable separate dressing area with vanity and sink. The shower and toilet are also in separate rooms off the dressing area. The bedroom has a pocket door with seating area next to bed. On the other side of the pocket door is a full length wide mirror. A+ The gym is fantastic with great views and mirrors. The outdoor seating area is fantastic. I wish I didn’t leave to go to the dreadful outdated horrible room at the Westin Times Sq. Literally started crying when entering today. Separate horrible review coming this misery.

I had the best customer service experience from the moment I walked through the door to my room to getting breakfast every morning to having to ship items home. Everyone was so helpful. It's my new go to hotel in NYC.

Virgin Hotels NYC - One of the best experiences that Manhattan has to offer!
My wife and I stayed here for four nights, and we were checked into our ADA King Chamber Room with a City View!
The first check in Host wasn't so welcoming. Didn't catch his name, so it maybe wasn't the best start... (Different staff may have carried habits from other hotel chains I felt).
When we reached the room, the view was lovely! However, as my wife is a Wheelchair user, the view was a little obstructed for her.
We were staying celebrating two special occasions, and when we mentioned this to Darnell, he was quick to see what he could do for us and arranged the most special stay for us. Darnell, Jestin & Dee Dee were very attentive to our needs, and Darnell, quick to realise the issues my wife experienced manoeuvring the room, was quick to rectify this with Jestin. We were then Re-Booked into a Suite for our remaining two days, which was fully ADA and included breathtaking views of the Empire State Building. The room even included its own Private Balcony! (Room 2205) This was the most memorable stay we have ever had, and it was all down to the exceptional service given by Darnell and the team. We can not thank him and Jestin enough! Lots of local knowledge if you're looking for a speakeasy/places to eat!
Late check out wasn't a problem, and neither was an early check-in after a long flight.
We can't wait to return for our 10th Wedding Anniversary with you!

We came with a friend who wanted to explore NYC. The Virgin Hotel room is pretty clean and housekeepers did tidy up the bathroom. But not the bedroom floor. Not sure why. Things can be requests through the hotel's tv device for anything else. Also be aware - the free drinks for guests of the hotel - not worth the worth. It's best to order the foods ($$) as another alternative choice. The 3rd Everlane is pretty busy and we wait a long long long for the drinks. Probably an hour and waste of our time sitting down waiting for it, So best is to look for elsewhere, with faster services. Note: waitress staff are good. They are working hard to bring things we were waiting for.

Location is excellent but overall it’s by far not the best hotel as it’s advertised.
There are hotels 2/3 blocka of that have larger rooms …real queen size beds… and more welcoming lobby.
1.5 / 5.0
The room was advertised as nearly 300sq ft. but my room was substantially smaller. Given when the hotel opened, the condition was substandard.

For a room that on average is £250-450 a night at best, this is below what a 4 star in most of Europe is - and they can range at half the price - In fact it’s pushing some London 5 star prices.
Here’s what you can expect:
- False fire alarms at 3 and 6 in the morning, coupled with a series of room tannoy announcements by a staff member clearly out there depth
- Out of action pool
- Safe that didn’t work
- Up to a 10 minute wait for the lifts (plan accordingly)
- Temperamental room charger
- Underpowered shower with broken temperature handle
- No dedicated room service leading to incorrect order through concierge
- Air conditioning that periodically makes loud restarting noises (enough to wake you up)
- Up to an hour late checkout whereby you have to answer your door 3 times to different staff members in this period
- Just got back home to realise I was charged for a lunch meal I never had
2 stars would reflect it’s actual rating. Not a boutique hotel in most peoples eyes.

The room was comfy and very nicely done. The lobby of the hotel was lacking, well worn and beat up, but otherwise, the rest of the hotel was lovely. The bed was comfy. Love the separate shower/toilet!
The burger was awful, just FYI. The pickle-y sauce on it ruined the whole thing and made it inedible. The few other menu items we tried were very chain-like, so I'm going to say only go to the restaurant for the nice patio and drinks and head out to eat.

The hotel was nice, but not totally finished,
We were on the 10th floor and one evening the fire alarm went off everybody on that floor went to the reception and waited. They told us there wasn’t a fire. It was a fault with the alarm system and to go back to our rooms for the inconvenience they said, there will be a refund of sort's.
not that I am that bothered, but in America, everybody expects their tips so they shouldn’t say things unless they’re actually going to do it

Disappointing Stay - Standards Have Dropped
This was my second time staying at the Virgin Hotel in NYC, and unfortunately, it was a letdown compared to my first visit. While my initial stay was fine, this time around, the experience was far from satisfactory.
First, they still seem to be operating with Covid-era in-room dining practices, which means disposable utensils, a far cry from the more premium pre-Covid service I would expect. It feels like they’ve been slow to bring back the full guest experience.
Housekeeping was another issue. Over my 4-day stay, they didn’t clean the room properly at all. The room wasn’t vacuumed, toilet paper wasn’t replenished, and fresh towels were never provided unless I requested them. It was frustrating to come back to a room that clearly wasn’t given any attention.
Additionally, I had issues with the TV not being connected properly. When they tried to fix it, they ended up leaving marks on the wall, and the problem still wasn’t resolved. No one came back to address the damage either.
Overall, my expectations were higher, especially based on my previous experience. For a hotel that prides itself on quality and guest experience, this stay left much to be desired.

Housekeeping didn’t always clean and we had to request a couple of times.

Excellent property overall. The only issue would be the slow elevators which caused a logjam to reach our room. Otherwise, it’s quite convenient to the train and dining options.

Empire View deluxe, great tidy modern hotel / room , first 2 nights aircon was not working effectively , after complaining we were moved to another room . Clean compact rooms , the work desk is in the bathroom which makes the bathroom area larger but the main bedroom smaller . level 3 bar good most days but tuesday night was a shambles was sitting right at the bar & waited absolutely ages for a drink & to cash out .

It was Fashion Week so the hotel was packed. We were traveling home from Europe with our dog and the staff made the experience exceptional for us. The rooms are clean and comfortable and easy to move around in
