As it was off season the property was dark on arrival. I had trouble getting the lockbox open in the bitter cold. The place was really comfortable and spacious with all things supplied. However the sink in the bathroom was barely draining so we had to use the kitchen sink to brush our teeth. I called the number on the billboard outside to get the matter fixed but the response was in French only and spoken too quickly to copy down the email provided for contact. I know some French but not enough to copy down the email spoken that fast. I did report this to hotels.com and they said that the owner would be advised and contact me directly by email. 2 days later on checkout there had been no contact.

This is a good, standard address in Rimouski, facing the water. Clean and convenient.

We enjoyed our stay.
Positives:
- price
- kitchenette & fridge
- rocky beach offers great sunset view
- easy parking
- above average sound proofing between rooms
Negatives:
- old property with some of the equipment showing its age: couldn't close bathroom window for example
- no range hood for kitchenette: we had the smoke detector go off once by toasting bread
Overall, I can recommend the motel.

Great place with nice views close to the water.

Price is high. But room was nice good thing was breeze outside though

Amazing location near a great seafood restaurant and beautiful beach across the street as well as wonderful walking on a small road along the beach. It is peaceful and relaxing. The hotel is overpriced for a road side motel but we didn’t have many options travelling with a pet. When our toilet got plugged we had to wait for the next day for service to find a plunger ourselves we were left frustrated. We also were not allowed any more cups when asked.
I was happy with the location but not necessarily the place.

Nice view of ocean. No A/C. Far from place to eat.

Ok for price and all include for cooking wich is nice. It is small but clean and casual. The view is good.

Bed was horrible. Stains on mattress and a flat sheet was on the mattress which did not stay on. Not acceptable. Room very clean, view across the road was great and surrounding grounds well maintained. Buy fitted sheets and better clean mattresses, and you would have received a great review.

Was told by phone for another added night we'd have queen beds, they were twins. Expedia didn't allow me to modify my checkout 10 minutes after making my reservation. Horrible uncomfortable beds. Do not recpmment expedia nor Hotel De La Mer. 400$ 2 nights, what a joke

The building is old and needs improvements, but the front view is beautiful.

We stayed in the family room (it is basically the part of the house over the checkin). The size was great. Full kitchen, stove, fridge and dishes. Two rooms and good beds. Only issue we had was the cleanliness of the floors and especially the couch. If you have pet or dust allergies, it may not be the place for you. Also, privacy was not great. Missing some curtains/shades on the doors and some windows. (With camper parking at the back and regular parking at the front we generally felt "on display" when we were in the living room/kitchen). As for location, it was very convenient off the highway however nothing walkable from there.

Very nice. Friendly staff, convenient location, great sea-side promenade. Would go there again.

We were going to arrive much later than the regular check-in hours. So when I called to advise them, they offered to simply leave the key (actual key 🗝️) in the room for us, which gave us more time on the road instead of having to rush to check-in.
Rooms were separated in different buildings, and ours was a little difficult to find but it was great for a quick night sleep before heading back on the road the next day.

Beautiful location but cheap construction of motel units allows for every sound your neighbour makes to be heard through the walls. Also, tv and wi-fi didn’t work, tiny fridge made a huge buzzing sound and motel sent an email before check out saying you’d better clean up, otherwise you’d be charged $50 for not washing a cup or leaving a chair a few feet away from where you found it, or not emptying the garbage!

The place was clean and they had chair if you wanted tu sit outside

William who created us was very kind, even took time to give us dining options near the hotel.
Unfortunately really bad neighbours made the overnight stay very unpleasant.
They were very loud.
It seems that the rules about quiet time is not being reinforced.
For the hotel itself I don’t have anything to complain about

What a gorgeous view! The room was small, but it had what we needed.

Old, not cleaned properly. Lower expectations. Moistures in the bathroom. Location is by the St-Laurence but...

Annual trip from Toronto to Gaspe. First time staying and will definitely return. These independent motels are what makes the essence of a good road trip.Clean comfy rooms on the ocean. Will return!

The only inconvenience was the noise of the cars passing by on the 132.

Just perfect for one night on the road.
Maybe an association with a restaurant for the breakfast would be nice.
