We probably ignored some obvious reviews but here’s our reality.
-arrived to the AC totally OFF, the house was 97°
The ac never blew cold, the mini splits upstairs were dumping water onto carpet so turned those off
-the garage had a pile of trash from several stays sitting in it and the smell was….exactly that with flies
-the covered patio has bats, they’re protected and cannot be removed so just be ready for that they poop directly outside the back door and obviously no one bothered to clean it for arrival
-not a complaint just a fact the dock is a extremely damaged from the tornado and is very unsafe.
Now onto VACASA RENTAL COMPNAY
ughhhh
Yea they respond quickly, from a call center in BFE & a promise to be contacted from a ‘local team’
We arrived at 4pm and let VACASA know about the air, we had infants with us
At 9:30 pm we finally got a call from the ‘local’ Richard, and he cannot get a guy out there that night and offers us a full refund (we just drove 4 hours with 7 people…where would we go Richard??
OR another house that’s 1 + hours away on the other side of the lake
Arriving to a decent house at 10:30pm our day was ruined, our Saturday on the lake cut very short due to now driving 2 hrs to get our boat. What a mess.
VACASA/Richard the local offered a $200 out of $700 refund….ridiculous!!!
I have since spent hours and hours on the phone with VACASA as their refund is just insulting for the hell we went through.
I will NEVER RENT FROM VACASA AGAIN

The house is beautiful, lots of natural light, windows and hardwood floors. The walk down to the water was a bit of a hike. We weren’t able to use the wagon to pull our granddaughter down the trail. On arrival, the stove was on, I’m sure it was accidental. We had to sweep the floor before we put the babies blanket and toys down. Day 2 we returned to the house after being in the water all day and it was 80 degrees in the house. I messaged management and they said they would start a ticket and someone would be in contact. Day 3 woke up to 80 degrees in the house. Messaged again, told they did not have a time line of when we would hear from someone. We were told to check the batteries and send a pic of thermostat. We found a filter in the garage and changed it, the one in place was filthy. We had a 7 month old that could not sleep and if it weren’t for the ceiling fans, none of us would have gotten any sleep. Ice maker in fridge didn’t work and ice maker got hot and shut off. Gas grill couldn’t be used, when we turned on propane, gas rushed out of top of tank. Not safe at all. By time to check out we still hadn’t heard from anyone.

It was a nice stay with just slight issues (not anyone’s fault) when I told them about the issues they offered to have someone come and fix them right then and there and were very attentive.

The isolated and quiet location of this house was ideal for our purposes but the cleaning crew needs to do a better job to prepare for arriving guests.

When we arrived, they were working on Hot water heater, then we were texted about the cleanliness. 2 Red Flags! By day 2 Hot water heater went out and could not get parts to fix for another day. No offer to be moved, by that evening when a couple of us tried to take Cold showers, water quit. I tried to get us moved but had terrible results until finally by the next day they did move us, but it was a location I'd never have chosen but it did have water and working water heater. To Sum this property up they are putting no finances into repairs, and they should not rent out until all is fixed including cleanliness.

Loved, loved, loved the secluded location and access to nature and the pristine lake. However, problem after problem greeted us upon arrival.
1. Inside refridgerator did not appear to be working, even hours after arrival. Not even slightly cool. There were two additional refridgerators in the garage. But....
2. Two trash dumpsters full of STINKY trash awaited our noses upon walking above food out to garage from inside house. Just the aroma of "relaxation and vacation" one hopes for.
3. The beauty of outside was stunning! However...
4. There was a large pile of critter feces in front of the back door that led to the beautiful outdoors. Approximately a large welcome mat size, filled. This should have been cleaned up, at the least. Swept this up, then
5. Later this night, we accidentally discover we had indoor roommates a family of bats were living in the wood stove inside the house. Sadly, there was a variety of living and dead family members.
6. Called/texted with the vacation rental property "Vacasa" about all these incident, "someone" was to get back to us regarding these important items (there were other issues, just not noteworthy after this), however no one called or left any sort of message about our issues. Basically we don't care but thank you for choosing us
7. There may or msy not be mold on the upper most beam of the ceiling. It was definitely iffy.
If I knew all this prior to planning our trip, my family if 9 adults would not rent this.

Loved this homey get away - had a great view. Would love to come back but the water heater for showers was unreliable and the freezer was not working.

Beautiful location and views of Beaver Lake.

Deck was wonderful. Expecting more birds and animals, only got a glimpse of a couple deer. A lot of cars would have problems making it up the road. House was very nice and with the exception of master mattress, the furniture was very nice also. Expected it to be much cleaner for this price point.

The lake house was beautiful and secluded surrounded by nature. We enjoyed our time with our adult kids and grandkids. The large deck was a great place to gather from morning till night. Plenty of towels for bathing and kitchen accessories for cooking meals. The ice macine in the kitchen was a bonus for keeping our drinks iced. And having an extra refrigerator in the garage was another bonus. If you are looking to get away and enjoy nature, this lake house has it all. The grandkids enjoyed playing and sleeping in the room above the garage (2 twin bed room, that connects to the loft room) we called it the "hobbit room". Beaver Lake will is always a great place to visit. Thank you for a great stay.

We really enjoyed this place. Great location and wonderful house! Thank you!

Lovely house with outstanding porch and deck space. Decent kitchen to cook big meals for our crew. Nice indoor hang out space for rainy days. Upstairs sleeping space is open to the downstairs, so best if everyone goes to bed at the same time.

Awesome location right on lake. Completely private and secluded. Clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay. Only issues - handle on dishwasher was broken so it was hard to open and close, skillets really small with a lot of the kitchen items random. The towels were small and worn. So secluded we didn't have good cell reception.
