About this house rental
This beautiful east Memphis home is in the center of all that Memphis has to offer. Very safe neighborhood around the corner from Elvis’ first Memphis home. Plenty of space, artsy and upscale, cozy and inviting. You will feel right at home here. The house has 5 bedrooms, 3 full baths, and 2 half baths and an upstairs loft for the kids with 4 beds and game room. There are two patios, one covered and both have outdoor eating and sitting options with a play set and fire pit.
The entire ground floor of the home is available to our guests. This includes 5 bedroom and 3.5 baths, a laundry room, dining room, private backyard, patio dining with dining area and grill. The upstairs playroom has a game room and dorm afire style sleeping with 2 full beds and 2 twin beds. There is also a half bath upstairs. This is a wonderful historic home with beautiful crown mountings, hardwood and brick floors, with updated baths and kitchens. In the heart of Memphis, you are less then 15 minutes to all of the attractions and are in one of the most desirable and safe East Memphis neighborhoods (around the corner from Elvis’ first home he bought for his mother after hitting the charts with Heartbreak Hotel!)
There are 4 outdoor areas for smoking - a covered patio with lounge seating and dining seating, an open air fire pit with seating and an open patio with dining seating. There is a playground for the kids.

This property has so much potential. Unfortunately, it s not as clean as it looks. There are many ways for accidents to happen. Spider webs visible, shower curtains were mildewed. The house is cluttered with what is suppose to be antiques (that you may purchase). We were very nervous around so much stuff that could be broken. Couch/chairs are very old, worn, and sits very close to the floor. They are also soiled and stained, but covered with pillows and throws. Despite these drawbacks, we made the very best of this amazing structure. The house is beautiful, great for entertaining and outdoor activities. A small investment of deep cleaning and updated furniture could turn this home into a fabulous venue. Also consider a new cleaning crew.

Wonderful stay! Excellent communication and response time. Home is very cozy and we enjoyed the coffee and complimentary wine. Neighborhood appears safe and in a great location. Thanks Gabe.

Had a group of 9 coming in for a bowling tournament. The location was perfect. One center was 5 miles away and the other was 20 miles.
After bowling it was a short drive to Bass Pro Shop and Beale Street.
Great location, plenty of room, and wonderful back yard.

Perfect house for 6 non coupled guys (or women). Everyone had their own private bedroom (3 had en suites-one was a half bath but perfect) and 1 shared full bathroom and one available half bath for the other 3 guys) Great Bedrooms, kitchen, TV room, separate formal living room with piano and guitar and dining room, and 2 great outdoor spaces one covered in case of rainy weather. 20 minutes to anywhere in the Memphis area. Owner was always immediately responsive for any questions we had. We do this every year in a different city (for the last 37 years) and this place was in the top tier. We had a great stay and when Memphis rolls around again, would definitely try to stay here again!

The house is much older than I expected. It has not been updated in decades. The cabinets in the kitchen were dirty as were all the baseboards in the house. The drawers were dirty and full of junk and evidence of mice-including droppings and a ripped-up oven mitt. We also heard mice in the walls at night. There were three window panes that were broken, one exterior doorknob that kept falling off, and a loose brick on an interior step. The handrailing on the stairs were very loose and some spindles were actually missing. The pantry smelled bad and had old, dirty carpet in it that seemed original to the house. In the pantry and in some cabinets were multiple open containers of food. The house is very cluttered and the kitchen is very small for a house that sleeps so many. Our family had a good time visiting with each other, and the backyard was great for kids and visits around the firepit, but the overall house was a disappointment. If this house had not been so neglected for so long, it could be a great VRBO, but the owner has done nothing to maintain this home at all.

The property was exactly as described. Plenty of space for 9 adults and a baby. We really enjoyed the big backyard. Neighborhood felt very safe and the host was very communicative.

We stayed over the Memorial Day weekend. Gathered for a family celebration of two 50 year anniversaries. Many visited Graceland, the Peabody ducks, Hard Rock Cafe. Some enjoyed walking to Elvis’ original house on Audubon Drive. It was just .3 miles from our location. Some gathered at the Rendezvous for barbecue. This property is well located in an excellent neighborhood.

Very nice house, listing doesn’t do it justice. Very easy dealings with host. Definitely recommend and would use again.

The renting process was very simple and easy. I found this property earlier this year but didn’t need it until May. I had until April 21 to cancel, which was really nice.
