About this apartment rental
Situated in a Conservation Area, this park and river-side property overlooks a Grade 2 listed bridge but is also close to Keynsham High Street.
"Dapps Hill Haven" is a great location to explore historic Keynsham plus Bristol and Bath as the train station is 9 mins walk and then 9 minutes ride right into the centre of either city.
This completely redecorated cozy and elegant 2 storey apartment is close to restaurants, pubs, shops and cafes. Lovely country walks start very closeby, see pics.
Neighbourhood description
The property is very close to beautiful local walks, particularly along the Chew Valley (see pictures) but also around the outskirts of Keynsham towards Bath and Bristol.
A stone’s throw from the property is 17th-century “Ship Inn" with unusual stone mullioned windows at the front. At the back, a terraced garden on several levels, and two petanque courts, overlooking the riverside park. Good food is served. The more modern “New Inn” is 5 mins walk and has a hillside garden and live sport. Both pubs have local real ales.
The local cricket club (home of Marcus Trescothick) serves many ciders and beers is 5 mins walk away and has a large terrace which welcomes non-members. A lovely place to watch local cricket in the sun from April-September on weekends and most evenings.
The centre of historic Keynsham is minutes away, with shops, wine bars and restaurants.
Getting around
Located in a dead end with a walk-in entrance to the park the location is quiet with free on-street parking outside the property. On-street parking in the streets nearby is also possible if needed. You can walk through the park or up through the high street to pubs, restaurants, cafes, a supermarket, corner shops.
The train station is about 9 mins walk through the park or you can drive to the station park. The centres of both Bristol and Bath are just a 9 minute ride away - what easier way to visit the city sights and avoid parking issues? There are also bus routes to Bath and Bristol or you can drive if you prefer.
There are so many sights in Bath - Roman Baths, Pump Rooms, Thermae Bath Spa, Bath Abbey, Christmas Market, Bath Festival etc. See Visit Bath web site for more details.
While Bath is famous worldwide, Bristol has many sights too - Clifton Suspension Bridge, Brunel's SS Great Britain, Balloon Festival, Harbour Festival etc. See Visit Bristol for more details.
And "Dapps Hill Haven" is close to the Cotswolds for some of the best country walks imaginable and centuries-old villages but also Westonbirt Arboretum (great all year round but unmissable in Autumn and lit up at Christmas), Cotswold Wildlife Park, Blenheim Palace, Sudeley Castle & Gardens etc.

Very comfortable stay at Dapps Hill. Keynsham A wonderful place to stay, overlooking the Chew River and Keynsham Park, quiet with easy access to the high street.
Visit BONZOs restaurant at any time for a relaxing drink or meal, and great atmosphere.

The property was lovely, really clean and laid out nicely for a group getaway. The digital guidebook was so helpful, even giving us suggestions for things to do nearby, and the check in/out process couldn't have been easier. Our host Kath was just lovely, kept in contact to make sure there were no issues (there weren't- everything was perfect!) and made sure we had everything we needed. All in all, we couldn't have asked for anything more!

The property had everything we needed for our stay and was very clean. Check-in and check-out were hassle-free. The location is great; right next to a park and within walking distance of lots of shops and restaurants.
Kath was an incredible host, with great communication prior and during our stay which made us feel welcomed. Would definitely stay again!
