Stay was good … but the no refund after confirmation of booking is UNFAIR

Close to business area of HITEC CITY

I booked for 11 nights, but wanted to check out 1 day earlier (informed the management 1 week before. But I was informed that they have a no refund policy. I understand there is a policy due to which they did not refund. But WHY IS THAT THE POLICY? Many hospitality properties may deduct some amount but allow adjustment of dates. Why this restrictive policy from ZOSTEL?

Budgeted stay for solo travelers

The staff were nice and friendly

The dorms feels a bit congested and uncomfortable. It’s one of the smallest Zostel I have been and the Zostel vibe seems to be missing here. Also, the location is far from main Hyderabad city

The location is good and the lobby is well maintained.

We were disappointed with our stay as the rooms were not cleaned after the previous occupants checked out. Despite waiting for half an hour just before check-in time, the room was still not ready. We found used tissues scattered throughout the room, an empty water jug, and used glasses. The bedsheets had not been changed since the last occupant. We requested the host to clean the room, and although they did clean the floor and remove the tissues, they neglected to replace the glasses, clean the washroom, or change the bedsheets. We were extremely tired from a 12-hour flight and feeling exhausted, so we decided to take a short nap and find an alternative option. The host promised us a refund, but we have yet to receive any amount from Zostel or the host. We are disappointed with the lack of cleanliness and the unfulfilled promise of a refund

Perfect for solo travelers

Great community and one great host, providing a common room for everyone and so much collection of card and board games, and the host and everyone in there was so welcoming, felt like more than home for a few days.

Commuting to the place from airport is a bit struggle, definitely worth it.

Great for solo travellers and short stays.

The ambience was really good and people were nice and friendly. Lounge areas were the fun to spend time in.

The 8 bed dorm rooms were too small and narrow. Also, just a single bathroom for 8 people! Sorry but that's too unhygienic. Narrow passageways and feels inconvenient sometimes.

Srikant was really helpful in guiding me where to go and how to go. It felt I interacted with a localite not a manager at Zostel. It felt like home.

The cafeteria can have more food options - South Indian and North Indian.

After spending a vacation of over a month travelling Himachal and Uttrakhand, I visited hyd for business. Trust me when I say this - There was NO difference. I felt like I was still on vacation. Hostel is newly constructed in late dec 2022 i believe, its clean and well maintained. Hosts are chill and friendly, usually on weekends they organize DJ nights depending on the crowds mood or else there are lods of options to keep yourself busy - books, play station, board games, guitar and so on.. throughout my stay I didn't found 'dead scenes' even on week days. I enjoyed my stay and will strongly recommend.
